South Iceland 4K - Christmas Time - Driving from Hotel Grimsborgir to Selfoss

December is one of the best times to visit Iceland due to the excellent conditions for viewing the northern lights and the festive spirit of the Christmas holidays.
Located 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Reykjavik, Selfoss is one of the largest towns in Iceland outside of the capital area. It sits by the Ring Road that encircles the country and acts as a gateway towards the South Coast.
The town is a centre of commerce and small industries with a population of around 10,000 (2023), making it the largest residential area in South Iceland.
Hotel Grímsborgir is located 70 km east of Reykjavik in the heart of the Golden Circle, nestled on the bank of river Sogid surrounded by stunning landscape. Some of the highlights of Iceland’s nature, geography and history are within easy reach.
Before to visit Hotel Grímsborgir I thought that Photos with Aurora Borealis are over edited , but after I saw it at the Hotel , i realised the photos I saw doesn't even make justice.
