- In this fourth episode of Kingdom Come: Deliverance History, we will be taking an in-depth look at Talmberg Castle, one of the four main castles in KC:D.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance History is a series where I will be using the game as a visual tool to showcase various aspects of late medieval life. Episodes 1-2 and 4-5 will be focused on castles (with much more to come in future episodes).

This is the place in the game where I wasn't really opposed to living in the 14th century. Cozy as hell.
I agree; Thanks for watching and commenting! Also, I’m loving your username, lol.
@@imper_gaming ty haha
Love the intro clip. very well done. Great video. As you already know, Talmberg is also my favorite castle in KCD. Can't wait to see Rattay.
Thanks, man. I really liked your own “Castles” video; great work!
Man.. this game is so awesome and atmospheric at the same time. The first talk with lady Stephanie during the storm and with radZig and the refugees gave me goosebumps.love from India. : D also the vid was awesome
Thanks for watching and commenting; I'm really glad you enjoy my content!
One of my good friends has the same feeling about that scene with Sir Radzig in the thunderstorm; excellent work from the cinematic team!
@@imper_gaming nice! Keep on making great videos!
This fortified house and separate Donjon seems to be very particular for this region. In Austria and Germany, we had them combined, giving it the semblance of a small church (two-story house and either a square or polygonal tower on the short side of the house; the tower can only be entered through the upper floor and the basement contains the treasury and the lower floor of the house the food and the upper floor is a multy-purpose great hall, which served as the main living quaters).
Gorgeous 😍 I purchased some old postcards with the Talmberk ruin/castle on it. :)
Just a wonderful place; I want to return to the Czech Republic one day and visit the Sasau region. I'm sure those are some beautiful postcards!
I have watched a few videos, great content dude, keep going!
currently attempting to recreate Talmberg castle in vintage story :D
I really enjoy your analyses of the KCD castles and the history of the period. I hope you continue your historical exploration with additional videos about the world in which KCD is situated. Your videos further enhance the immersion that KCD brings to the player. I am curious in such a religious time what the reasoning might be that Tamberg doesn’t have a church for the commons while noticeably smaller communities like Rovna and Pribyslavitz have centers for worship. Cheers.
Thank you so much, and I’m really glad you’re enjoying my content so far! It means a lot to me, and I really do appreciate it.
As far as the medieval church, well, this is an excellent question. To be completely honest, I’m not an expert on the topic, so do take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt.
I believe this might have something to do with the region’s diocesan structure. If we assume that the absence of a church at Talmberg is in fact due to a lack of archaeological and/or literary evidence (and not due to artistic liberty), then it’s not hard to imagine that the Talmbergers would travel to Uzhitz for their religious services -in the same way we would imagine the Skalitz folk to travel to Rovna. After all, the two settlements are only about a mile apart.
Of course, the question still remains as to why to not just have a church at Talmberg itself, and while I don’t have a definitive answer, it might have something to do (again) with the nature of the diocesan system, i.e., the ecclesiastical district/province.
Now you’ve got me thinking. I’ll have to do some research!
Theres a LEGO-style model of this by Bluebrixx, which is pretty sweet
this gem only has 600 views? wtf?
The intro music is good!
“Skalitz 1403,” and all credit goes to Jan Valta and Adam Sporka. They did a phenomenal job with the soundtrack :)
my guy, where's that Rattay castle video at???
great work btw; this video has a very professional and "smooth", if that makes sense, tone to it!!
This is just amazing!!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Liam! I’m glad to see you’ve been enjoying my content. I’ll be back with the KCD History series in a few weeks after I put out some other videos (coming soon)!
I love your videos and i'm super excited for the one about medieval art, which i think is way to underrated. Greetings from Austria :)
Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying my content so far. Also, I love Austria. I hope to return one day soon.

Your content is amazing!
You have to come to the south of Austria one day because we have got so many castles, medieval citys, and churches to see. It's like heaven on earth.
great video
Thank you so much for watching and commenting, Anoniem! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve been looking to see ppl make talmburg
It’s my favorite for sure and I really wanted to make it in Minecraft
I don't get why they had the stairs on the outside of the building, especially the Donjons. I understand however, why they cannot be accessed from the ground floor.
Very nice video. Maybe an improvement if you remove the hud when you record stuff like this :) I think it's even more beautiful then. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much; I’m glad you enjoyed! Great suggestion, though. I have to play with the settings the next time I record new gameplay. Thanks for that.
