3:00 I love how the game has a foot-bridge over the small portion of the modern road that is flooded by rain water, such an intimate detail!

I was there once and I regret not going to all named locations I was only in Skalitz for like 5 minutes and in Rattay, and in a pub in Ledetchko (idk prostě ledečko)

I am replaying this game now. Didnt expect nostalgia from a game from 2018. They did a great job at historical accuracy without degrading gameplay. Cant wait KCD 2!

Cool video. Constructive suggestion here, use a controller to capture the game, so you can adjust sensitivity while you move the sticks... Your capture with keyboard looks clunky

Last year i bought a house which was first mentioned by the church as small farm in 1356... i wonder if the Main walls are still the rocks which where placed by ppl in the medieval era. Kcd makes you dive in this period so well.
I never even knew they took so many real world locations... Just thought they took a few names of places that don't exist anymore

Love KC:D, but this Real Life crap is just horrible. No HUD, no compass, no extra lives, taking Mutt into half of the locations is a crime, the Woman class is ridiculously OP (NPCs just give you free stuff and treat you like the sun shines out of your ass) and when I tried haggling with the Bailiff (called police, as if that's a real thing), they threw me in the dungeon and I had to wait 3 in-game years.
How did you do that man?!! Awesome....

cool video. I have a small suggestion for improvement. if you want slow, fluid movements, then use a gamepad for the next video. You can control how fast you move the player. the jerky starting and stopping is gone.

It doesn't surprise me given the fact that one of the game's main devs actually comes from that area . So he knows all of those villages and their history really well.
Were so many archways changed in style from gothic to round over time, or was the gothic style just a decision of the developers? 🤔
gothic was definitely there at the time when the game is set in. it was probably changed to round during renovations which look like they occured like 200-300 hundred years ago and by that time it was either too expensive and hard to keep the gothic or people just thought they were out of date and did the current style (at that time)
During Baroque era most older churches got restyled because Gothic or Romanic art and architecture was considered old-fashioned.

Its not real life its just hardcore mode without health/ stamina bar adn no compass.
RIP all tourism industry and logsitics from around Trosky castle, the spike in tourist numbers in the next few years will be MASSIVE (I suppose in Kutná Hora they are quite ready for such situation, but not in Bohemian Paradise).
Hopefully, its always amazing when people take interest in our ancestors and our ancestors history no matter who they are.
If this is what makes people go out and interact with that, then so gladly be it.
