    Thanks for these tips! I Wish we had built in beat sequencer on Mac just like on IOS. Despite having a Akai midi keyboard, I feel like making drum loops on Garageband on IOS is a bit easier and just fun to do.

    Hi, can you tell me how I add a section in GarageBand on Mac. On iPhone or iPad it seems to be just by clicking a + sign on the screen but I can’t find anything like that on my mini Mac version of GarageBand.

      @bryanbuff Před 5 dny +1

      I don’t think you can. Oddly enough iOS version has some features the Mac version does not.

    I`m an ex pro drummer with no room to mic up a drumkit for the time being and find GB drummer frustrating as it rarely does what I wish. I have trouble finding a basic `Rim Click`(sidestick) loop to get started on ideas, why can`t it be quicker to get going? Other than that I love the DAW.

      @cuda426hemi Před 4 měsíci +3

      Use the click! You can vary the tone of it. If you want a special pattern use your keyboard and punch up the drum kits in GB - I NEVER use the 'drummer' or Loops, leave that for iOS kids. I "finger drum" on MIDI keys M Audio Keystation 61 to be exact, that way you can trigger real drums from Vintage Rodgers to new DWs or saggy Ludwigs by tapping the keys with of course human feel. The sets that come with GB are FINE but if you want more check out EZ drummer. 👀

      @@cuda426hemi Hi I appreciate your help. I've used my M-Audio Keyrig 49 to finger drum but even with my good timing I have to 'line it all up' I try find a basic loop I can edit and use the Hi hat part as a guide for my finger drums part with 'Groove Matching' enabled. It seems lining parts up line bass notes ,etc is what needs to be done? I stopped using my EZ Drummer good sounds except the Ride cymbal doesn't seem to have a mic on it .I'm just being fussy I suppose. I bought a Yamaha FGDP Finger drum pad to see if it help, seems there's no quantize function, lol Thanks though Will check your channel!

      @@batphink2655 All good my friend. As of now I ain't got no channel for you to check out but I will be blasting a bunch of nonsense multi track soon. I started on real drums as kid but switched to guitar, played Bass on tour, fake everything else lol. Keep in mind you can finger tap any hi hat and change the instrument to another kit (or instrument for that matter) later being MIDI and you can invoke the quantize in GB Editor and set the note 1/16th 1/8th whatever, EQ the F out of it blahblah but I appreciate your frustration! 👀

      Try EZ Drummer3 by Toontracks gives U lots of flexibility, & even more samples/ kits, it is it’s own song production program, or just use for drums, Then export to your DAW. Then U will really understand all the great GB drum options, as U combine them. Ie. Substituting GB samples for initial file sounds. Basics from EZD 3, then sound design w/ Mac

      @@l.harrison9725 You didn't read his post. Nobody needs to waste money on Toontracks stuff. I got my V2 free and looking back don't need any of the "features" save the samples and all they do is pester to upgrade for why? lol. Now I realize you can get batter samples anywhere for free, heck entire pro percussion from UK guys at Spitfire for one. EZ Bass, Drums etc seem to be for non players - waste of money for players like the above poster and me. The idea of GB is everything FREE. No reason ever to waste money. 👀
