is there an interface with noticably lower roundtrip latency than the motu m2? preferably under 500 € ? its really hard to find a comparison chart for rtl somehow :(

The Chow apps are wild. BYOD is probably my fav free fx. It’s funny I have full versions Tape Pro, Flux Pro, Beef and instead I just use the free versions Tape Cassette 2, Flux Mini 2, Roast Beef 🤣. I guess I tend to go for a quick and simple fix. For being the free versions they are powerful and of a paid quality. They can easily have a price tag.

Well, I just wasted my time downloading GB because it’s clearly crap. If I can’t open a whole song all at once it’s completely useless to me, unless someone knows a better way. This whole thing of doing it my phone seems like shit anyway.

i used to make song on garageband ios all the time. but now i can't change the tempo or bpm of the music like i once could. so for example i need the beat at 120-130 but it imports at 100-110bpm. any advice??

Very informative and well presented. I have used iPad to record my guitar for years but mainly used 3rd party amp sims like BIAS, Amplitube, Tonex etc. into Cubasis. However, GB amps are also really quite good (and free!) and I have used them occasionally. What I would like to see is a video about how to use iPad amp sims in a live situation using foot switches to change amps and fx or presets. Any chance of that (or do you know of any existing ones?). Cheers.

Good information Patrick and well presented. I keep gassing over line 6 guitar multi effect units but haven’t really given GBs a fair shake. I should probably do that to save expenses and more importantly to keep things simple. Thanks!

We have family sharing activated and I found garageband under my brothers profile who runs a newer Mac OS and had no problem installing it.

I have switched to the iLoud Precision 6 studio monitors over six months ago and, in my small and untreated place, the ARC technology really made it world of difference. Astounding is the word. Good that ARC is now part of the updated iLoud MTM, which seems to me to be a great value for what it does. Enjoy yours!

Disappointing latency when playing instruments. Even with the lowest buffer time (64 samples) and even after switching off the plug-ins (low latency mode), the delay between keystroke and sound is too long for serious use. What a pitty - the sounds and instruments are great...
