It’s very helpful how you show your custom palette in some of the portraits so we can see your mixes.
Andrea Vincze no need for negativity at a time like this
I have never seen anyone do quick sketches in just watercolor, and it looks amazing. I love the way your final sketch turned out :)
I find myself looking forward to these vids everyday. You are doing so well, Tori! :)))))
I'm so glad you did this! I struggle a lot with fluid poses in my art, it's nice to see your view on figure studies!
figure studies are such great practice, and not just for creating the human form. they can teach you so much about light and shadows :) your painting is very nice, lovely shapes :)
That charcoal/pastel mess and chaos is my everyday. Hahaha! It’s been so nice to have watercolor to come to right now and you are the biggest inspiration in continuing forward!! Your work is such an inspiration and I can’t waited until I can afford to become a patron!
FarlyCreates I thought about you while doing this video 😂 remember how you said you were knee deep in a charcoal month? I must ask, did you throw down a tarp or something, or just live with the dust cloud
Why is this so satisfiyng
I love figure drawing! My college has a free open life drawing night once a week. I would go every week during my first two years of college. After taking a class from the professor who runs the open life drawing, I was offered the position as the monitor and have been monitoring for two years now! No matter where you are in your artistic path, I always recommend figure drawing.
its been sooo long since you have used these! i remember watching you draw the portrait of your friend! id love to see more of the soft pastel / charcoal art from you! i personally love using those dry mediums! brings back fond memories in highschool aha
Gesture drawing! Love it. We need more of this on CZcams
This was such an amazing fun one to watch, really inspired me to do some figures next time I art!
Her: A lot of people out and about
Me: **checks to see if this was an old video**
Loved the studies by the way, I love the way you used charcoal to do them with,
(I could never because..
You know details details details!!!)
I do too, although they look really quick they look like really detailed in some of them for how quick they are, I think it’s really interesting way to do a study and brings you down to the basics
I DID THE EXACT SAME THING
@@hailieb5742 glad to know I wasn't the only one... 😅
i'm going to binge watch all of your sketchbook habits bc you've inspired me to paint again and I want someone to paint along with :D
I definitely underestimated how important figure studies are during my time at college and that I’m out I’ve gotten so rusty and stiff with my poses😣 there are no local live figure drawing classes where I live so I’ve been trying to 1. Learn anatomy (‘Figure Drawing Design and Invention’ by Micheal Hampton, definitely a must buy for anyone who feels like they wanna improve drawing the body but don’t know where to start 👍🏻) and 2. 30 second gesture drawings every morning using line-of-action.com (lol I try for “every morning” doesn’t always work that way 😂) and it’s definitely helped loosen up my sketches (for anyone that also suffers from stiff boring poses like me❤️)
Superb paintings! Could easily see those in a classy gallery. Love those beautiful elegant poses. The female human body is so magical. Lots of interesting contours and curves. UwU
Have you had a chance to take Denise’s DaVinci set out for a spin or twelve? They are such a joy; I think my DS are slightly jealous of them lately, even though the heart has room to love them all. A loose figure study with lots of juicy color mixing on the paper would work beautifully with the earth friendly palette! 💙🌍💚
I’m super grateful to have found your videos, and to have found them right as you started this sketchbook habit. It’s really helped me understand what I want out of watercolor for myself. It also helped me figure out skintones! And gave me new ideas to try out. You’re an amazing artist and honestly inspiring.
Thank you for the video! I love the shapes you chisel out with that sponge!
This was wonderful! I've been winding up to take a life drawing class (a rl one, I do picture ones sometimes, but it's just not the same!) for the past year. I learned so much when I did them as a teen and in my early twenties, and I find myself a little stuck on full figures again. Thank you for sharing, it is so inspiring!
I love these videos, and I really love your style - the things you accomplish with a flat brush (or "flat" sponge) always leave me so impressed. Gorgeous.
I am so glad for these videos. I love them!
I juST REALIZED THERE'S ONLY 8 DAYS LEFT AHHHHH IM GONNA CRYYY-
B a e k s • s u g a s same, watching this series brought joy to my life...

Thank you for the video!
I'm glad to see your channel. Wonderful video thanks friend👍🎵🤗😙🇯🇵👋
I painted along with you today! Your process is always so inspiring!!
This was so satisfying and interesting to watch!! Especially the pastel sketches
what a pleasant early surprise for today (≧▽≦) the cotton swab cleaning was so precious X'D good job today!! i was fascinated with the sponge, i never knew this technique existed!
Love it
Ugggh i love the last one so much!!!!!!!
u could use fixative to keep the charcoal from smudging in your sketchbook
Can you do a review on the Shinhan PWC watercolors? I wanted to try out the Mission Gold after you did videos on it but I also heard the Shinhan PWC is on par with them. Maybe a comparision video? I think that'll be fun to watch
Oh man, I wish you lived here (or I there) so we could go to figure drawing classes together!!! That would be so fun le sigh
Awesome! Thanks for the early video! 😁👏👏👏
Congratulations! Your almost done the challenge! You can do it!!✊🏽
Shamar Daniel I know! I’m going to bed at a reasonable time tonight
@@allisond7552 you and me both hahaha XD

yay yay early video!!
Hi Tori! Thank you so much for your videos, I will miss the daily inspiration from you when the series is over.
One question, if you don’t mind, what’s the palette that you are using? I mean the actual plastic palette, I have been looking for a palette like this for ages but most Amazon reviews of the one that I found are pretty awful. Any recommendations?
Cheers!
Stef
I’m gonna cry when this is over
Maybe if u feel like it u could retry the Jackson’s watercolour u tried out on ur old channel ! I’m not sure if u declutered it tho
WaiThetOo Mon I’m so deeply flattered you remember those! I still have them :) thank you for thinking of them
Personally I really don’t like to get my hands dirty, so I’ve hardly ever used messy art supplies, but it sure does look fun. Maybe I could wear gloves.
Torriii! Please give ur final thoughts on mijello mission gold paints ive been curious on what ur final thoughts are♡
Jean Ling I need a break from them 🙏 I’m sorry!
I feel like I don't know the steps to do figures if that makes sense? like I feel like the only way I know how to do it is too detailed
I clicked on this video hoping it could be a better example of what to do
and it was ^^ so thank you!
Watching this while cleaning phalto colors out of my desk 😂😂😂
I want to try bee paper but I can’t find it anywhere :/
