Yes I distinctly remember watching her videos in highschool, sitting on the floor outside my morning classroom, waiting for my teacher to come and unlock the door. That was when she was doing the daily (?) sketchbook series, where she started using watercolor more over markers.
You could make literal mud look amazing if you had to. This artwork is so gorgeous. Glad to see you posting again, friend! 💜

I have to say im very sad your old videos are hidden, i rememeber your video about prima complexions and it was the best review video and art ive seen about watercolours ever. The way you extracted those greens in there changed my whole thinking about painting, and instill think about it years later and just tried to find it video but with no luck 😢

What a gorgeous painting today. It was crazy to see how much you used these three colours to their full advantage to make such a well rounded piece. Even before you added the sparkles. It's unfortunate these may not have given you that Fun-factor you were looking for. But I am just glad to see you make such a wonderful piece with what you call a basic set of paint.

I am much more traditional when trying a new paint line, going for the primary colors, yet you are obviously a talented artist who knows what they are about. This is awfully nostalgic for me. I've switched to digital a right before covid, but seeing you paint gives me a lot of joy. It makes me want to pick up my old watercolor pallet, and start sketching with a pencil.

So lovely to get to see the process behind one of my favourites of your "more recent" (saying that in quotations as i have favourites from quite far back)!
And dont worry it makes total sense what you said of preferring the fun palettes! Art is so personal and you develop what you love each thing for, it makes it fun to have several choises to pull from🖤 candy color fun or more basic mixing colors make sense for very different things

The colors had me iffy about if they'd be a good combo, but you made them work beautifully! I haven't tried them, but its always a bit of a bummer when the paints aren't a new favorite

All my prima (and most other) watercolor pallets are at my parents and this makes me miss using them 😭
I have the decadent pies set and love it, coming from more primary colors its so luxe to have this premixed palette. I really get that bonbon box feel. Might have to grab the tropical set 😊

Cause of your old Videos I ended up getting some of Prima's stuff. I have the decadent pies set and I really do love it. The first i got was the vintage pastel though, since I was still nervous with getting dark hues.

wow such a nice review and painting!! victoria, I know it's a bit absord but, would be please upload a video on how you tape and stretch your paper, I use 100 cotton paper but whenever I tape down I get those annoying air in the middle when starting to layer wet on wet 😓
I must confess, I do not stretch my paper XD I work on watercolor blocks to expedite my illustration process. You can also try watercolor boards - I believe arches and present makes them

If you have a Phthalo Green or Blue, you can pretty much mix anything :3 The other two colors are similar to my favorite Daniel Smith Pyrrol Scarlet and Green Gold which are on my main palette. I hope this helps! Especially in referencing my other videos using my main palette

May I ask what brand and type of cotton paper you used for this? :)
Yea! its 100% cotton Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper, but they recently changed the paper to an 'enhanced version' and unfortunately I'm not crazy about it anymore.

Okay so a long time ago on your old channel you posted a video featuring a painting you did using a homemade pallet that had four colors ( Magenta, teal, vanilla and gold) anyways that video is my FAVORITE watercolor video of all time (because of the way you opened my eyes to the beauty of a limited color pallet and the colors/painting was just so beautiful) and i will literally pay to have that video back so that i can watch again i just really miss watching it so could you please repost it/put it somewhere i could pay and then download the video to watch over and over again? .....if you dont mind
