Nice review. Test drove one of these about a month ago, the breaks didn't feel too bad to me but the lack of any real physical buttons for common controls on the interior was such a buzzkill. When I have to actually concentrate just to adjust something as simple as the volume something is wrong. I have not seen one review that says they like the capacitive buttons so I do not know why mercedes continues to push this into more interiors. Going to check out the the face lifted 330i soon, hoping thats better.
Love the demo of the automatic breaks.

As for the brakes I agree that they are grabby, but you get used to it after some time and it becomes less annoying.
I wonder too if this thing will hold up over time but I feel that is the case of any new car today. The Acura I’ve had for 5 year and it’s had its fair share of gremlins 😢

The driver assist system is really a hit or miss, on my 2022 C300e (plug-in hybrid 333HP but 450kg morer heavy) it bips constantly when I drive in a narrow street (I'm in Belgium so probably narrower than most US streets) because a parked car is sticking out a little or another car is coming in the reverse direction. The brakes definitively require a learning period, I manually put the regenerative level to maximum to avoid "braking in the void" but unfortunately you can't manage it in sport mode as the paddles behind the wheel are then acting as a manual shifter. Except for those 2 points I'm very happy with the car after 1 month of driving it, the comfort compared to my 2018 Audi A4 was a big leap.

Yes the lack of buttons is a hot topic now but with MBUX it’s really not an issue. The driver can tell the car to do almost anything you would usually do with your hands.
I concur as I've been using it for almost two years now and it's clearly the way of the future to handle interior controls.
Will you review the new GLC? Specifically the coupe? It has the similar interior I believe. I'm dying to see a review of it.

Same car here in australia when on sale is 105k aud (97200 cad) with amg line but no options. Something does not add up
I had 2 different versions while my amg was in for service ... pinnacle trim and just a base with amg package ... AMG one felt very harsh as a daily ... the black on black looked really good but once I got my hands on the pinnacle trim one with all the bells and whistles I got over the looks very quickly lol, both kool versions but I would get the pinnacle ... fyi super weird staggered tire setup on the Pinnacle -- front 225 / 45 / 18 -- 245 / 40 18 rear ... ( amg had squared 235 / 40 / 18s )

It is very strange how everyone avoids talking about seat ergonomics, how they are not confortable on long roads, especially for tall people. If you seek confort on long distance driving, this vehicle is not for you.

Oh no... I've ordered a C300 in May, and am awaiting delivery. Watching your video, I'm a little worried if I've made a mistake. I liked the car when I test-drove it, but as it was a short drive with the sales rep with me, I wasn't able to extensively test out some features.
Just don’t take delivery- current E-class owner. What I hate the most is the EXTREME FORWARD TILT of the steering controls too far and annoying to contort my wrist just to reach

This car is a bit much in its own eco system. The GLB AMG 35 (which I am eyeing) is $55K with features I wanted, (AMG appearance package, Panoroof, larger rims, 3rd row, wood trim).
I don’t search the button on the screen.I say ‘Hey mercedes’ It’s cold and She changes the temperature 🤒
The mbux is a great system.
I don’t wurry about replacing screens because if You go to Mercedes for the upkeep the factory warranty is extended.
There is no other brand that keeps making spare parts as long as ‘Mercedes.
Bought me a oldtimer from 1953 and I can still order original parts from the factory and at very reasonable prices.
Too get back to the C 300 mine is a diesel 265hp, the 19 inch wheels makes it a whole other car no wobbling.
I like real exhaust.

I was shocked by the price tag. You mentioned this one is 60k, when I went to Mercedes Oakville dealership the cheapest C300 was 74k!! and I test drove one it was 81k!! yet BMW 530 costs 80k

No one should ever blindly trust these safety features or any type of adaptive cruise, semi autonomous driving etc... You are still driving the car and responsible for whatever happens.

It’s really a “baby” S class. It’s only a matter of time before they get rid of the base E-Class and maybe only keep the AMG versions/ EQE of the E-Classes. The refresh is def a win compared to last years.
That plate on the front left corner throws it out of balance . That alone is a show stopper for me . Ford did that for the first few yrs on their F150 eco boost then moved it to the center of the truck .
The virtually no leg room in the back seat should be considered theft of your money 💰
It's a German Car, which means in order to get the Rear USB, you have to purchase a $10K Options Pkg that has a lot of stuff, you don't want...😳🤑🤣

That's no family-car and I never saw a family in a C-class. I see this car directed to younger guys (30+), for business use or as a second car.
So weird a 2022 car can't do what I take for granted in my 2014 Volvo... it can detect humans and animals sometimes better than I can. It always breaks to reduce speed and to stop still. 🙂
Very gaudy, try-too-hard-to-be-different styling, both inside and out, that just isn't beautiful nor elegant nor easy to use. It's been downhill on Mercedes styling since the W203 generation... and that's coming from someone who's owned Mercedes, Audis and other German cars. The interior focus on showiness rather than on usefulness and tactile feedback. In a word: Yuck.
