Kipchoge's English is not great but he speaks from the heart, you can still understand what this event means to him. The man has single handily put marathon running on the map, he is the equivalent of what Michael Jordan is to basketball, what Tiger Woods is to golf and what Lionel Messi is to football. He is the greatest of all time, and we will probably never see such a runner in our lifetime again.
The humility of the man is outstanding, there is no I but we. Nothing is possible without the team and he knows that. Not only is he the greatest marathon runner of all time, he is one of the greatest role models in sport of all time. He will inspire many kids to take up running and this will drastically improve health around the world. Bravo Kipchoge. Bravo.

Congratulations and hats off to you Eliud Kipchoge, the greatest marathoner of all time. Salute to Patrick Sang, the fantastic coach, the dream team pacers, all NNTEAM members and INEOS. Oh man, Eliud still have that serene smile and has a tranquil air after that incredible run.
You could see his eyes light up in the post run interview when he was asked about the pacers.

The funny thing is that Kipchoge average speed of 21 km/h is considered a sprint for majority of humans! let alone to maintain that speed for 42 km!!
Hamza A. 17 seconds per 100m, imo that’s a below average sprint but for a 800/400m time it’s definitely above average, which is amazing.
Looked to my all 5 km races I was never close to 21 km/h speed, not for a single second. 100m alone is not a benchmark, try to run this 100m in the end of 5km. 99% will fail.
