  • They are small, only 1:42 in scale compared to their real-life counterparts, but they have great stories to tell. New video in our series focuses on Russian cruiser Varyag.

+BMWM3GTRLOVER She served with the Imperial Japanese Navy as light cruiser Soya. Then, was repurchased by the Imperial Russian Navy and renamed back to Varyag. 1917 she was seized by a detachment of British soldiers and sold to a German firm in 1920 for scrap ...

As I recall her boilers were a constant source of trouble throughout her career. As were the ones on the Retvitzan (produced in the same yard, Cramp & Sons, Philadelphia).
Still a remarkable if flawed ship.

+Lafeel Abriel As a final side note, I do belive the USN had similar issues with their own USS Maine (not to be mistaken for the one that started the Spanish American war) class of battleships that also used the same boiler design, and were largely also built by Cramp.

Whatever you like best, tanks, planes or ships.
World of WarPlanes is a terrible game by the way, WarThunder is a lot better in this regard.
As for World of Tanks its very grindy and a lot of nawbs play it, World of Warship probably is the best game out of all these but this is my personal opinion.

You can't make that assumtion for everyone on that ship. They had no choice but to follow the orders from their commanders while trapped in that hellbound steel prison. I can guarantee that alot of them had families and loved ones they were looking forward to seeing again...

This portrayal is completely devoid of reality or critical thinking, it is basically just propaganda in which Russia comes ahead as the moral victor because of their bravery, complete with uplifting music, with the whole world weaping at the loss of Russian lives instead of as a tragedy and blunder because of horrid decision making by its leadership that cost the lives of many sailors. This is like the Borodino video all over again.

That's heroics for you... send a few poor bastards into battle in a subpar ship against horrific odds... Then pin a medal on the fucktard captain that got his men killed for no decent return. No wonder the Japaner sent him a medal.

Maybe this is why wargaming is so biased against everything else. Jealous that they never had a worthwhile navy, and all their ships were just for target practice.
