I was 18 years old when that show was taped. I absolutely loved The Midnight Special. And as I look at it now, I realize just how terrific that show really was.

Ive never seen a musician as stoned/wasted/drunk as Dennis Locorriere during this show. I think they hosted the entire episode. Its hilarious. Its on here under entire episodes.
Watched it twice today, I swear you can see coke on his nose in the last set. That was broadcast on NBC when that actually meant something, like holy shit that was bonkers.

Fun band, with some good songs, but this sure isn't one of them.
Sounds like a bunch of guys jamming, and trying to make music, and oh boy...failing.

They had two actual hits during this time, and only one was actually good. Then they had a disco phase in the late 70's, and managed to crank out a couple more hits.
A very average band.
