Buddy, I loved this video. It was fun to see Madison on here with you. One and two were definitely the best. Initially, I liked the Centura better but as the video went on I gravitated towards the archer. The archer definitely has a smoother and more transparent tone. The Centura definitely brings more game if thatâs what you want.

Archer sounds absolutely amazing. That pedal has entered my want list at the top. Thanks for the comparison. The cheap diode is actually very audible, and it matches my DIY klone I donât use because of that harshness. Cool.

Man just hearing the full range of all the pedals is a great was to do this comparison tool. I agree that the Archer and the Centura sound the best. The Archer seems more tame and has smoother edges. The Centura has almost a fuzz character to it when yeeted, which I could honestly use on my current board. Very cool video. Ps. Your wife is a trooper⊠mine will only tolerate about 10 minutes of my guitar shenanigans LOL đ

Came for the Klons but stayed for Madison! Haha! Great video, I expected what you did but was pleasantly surprised with the Archer Ikon, I just got a regular Archer 2 days ago and just discovered the Ceriatone last night and figured maybe THAT was the best Klone, glad I went Archer!

I've tried a lot of Klones and the Centura still reigns supreme for me. Waiting on a Decibelics Golden Horsie, though.

I feel the Centura compresses picking better thatâs probably why is louder. Itâs like it has a little bit more headroom.
Ceriatone was by far the superior sounding of the three from my perspective. All sorts of issues as far as component drift pot settings etc⊠Fun though..
If youâre into Klon and mini pedal size, thereâs a good real boutique pedal, made by a single guy in Spain; itâs really good and it take so much less place on the board. Itâs Decibelics Golden Horse. I canât recommend him enough.

What you forget by trying to set the pedals the same is that the pots do not have consistent tapers as they all vary a bit so trying to set them all the same will show different values of resistance to the circuit ..

What he said. Yes, I believe there is a 20% variation that you can have between pots. You have to dial each on to your ear, then switch back and forth. Love your channel.

All three pedals are so close just digging in slightly softer or harder or higher or lower in position could change opinion. I own an Archer Ikon and am also lucky to have a wonderful blonde wife. Well done Buddy & Madison!

You might have just saved me almost 300 dollars even though I did like the warmer, thicker sound in number 1 better then number 2. Pretty amazing that cheap clone can sound so good. I'm going to check out your real clone challenge video later
I preferred the gold Archer, which I have on one of my boards. I also have Mythos Mjolnir pedals (regular and Wildwood edition) along with a KTR. Check the Mythos Mjolnir!

Iâm late to this video but I wanted to recommend the Studio Daydream KCM-OD. HANDS DOWN THE BEST SOUND AND BEST LOOKING KLONE in my personal opinion, that no one ever demosâŠ.. would love to see it showcased here, on my favorite channel.
I got the Archer with the Jeff Beck mod. Its definitely an on-all-the-time pedal. Makes everything better.

I like the Ceriatone but it was louder or had more gain at the same settings or something.Amazing sounding though to me. The Archer is probably less offensive or more polite which I can see being what people want for versatility I guess.

P.S. the difference you hear with the Refractor is more likely capacitors and/or pots. The chances that you can hear specific diodes is ... highly unlikely.

I have to go with the Archer as well. There's sooo many options out there, but I think this is a good mix of inexpensive to the top side for most people. I think the Mjolnir and the Tumnus would be good to throw in that ring as well.
For sure...tumnus is a great pedal....I dig the archer as well but I haven't spent as much time with it...tumnus has been on the board since I got it

I went for the Archer Ikon only judging by the CZcams videos I watched, needless to say, this video has brought me so much joy and relief! Ha! I love all your videos and your tones are always spot on. I would love to know more about your signal chain for your recording! Did you use cab-sims for this video? If not, how did you mic your speaker? Thanks a lot in advance Buddy!! :)

The ceriatone klon does not use the same components and has a different tone you can distinctly hear.compared to the original tone I dont like it as much, can I use it, Yep, Is it good, Yep, would mI buy it for a klon replacement, No, To many good options, The one on Wish sounds as good. But the Archer is great. good luck with your ears.

Hello! I'm very sorry I just saw this comment. I'm sure there is but I would have no idea which one it is.. I would go with the archer if you plan on playing it with higher gain. If not the Refractor really is a monster of a pedal

The D9E (rarefractor) isn't cheaper, it's just different. I'm guessing the other 2 are using a 1n34a or something similar.

To be fair, we probably werenât surprised that you chose the Archer. You showed us a pic of your âboard with the Archer on it, before the blindfold test, so the conclusion was spoiled. But fun video and great playing nonetheless!

to me after hearing quite a few KLON actual videos, it has a creamy quality, of the 3 I think the Centura came the closest at least in the range the KLON is most used at, Yeah not to many people DIME the GAIN on a Klon it usually does not sound to good at 10. It is just what I hear. To me in Overdrive/fuzz/distortion pedals the best one I have heard, is the DSM humboldt Silver Linings, the only thing with that pedal I do not like is with all it does it has about 4 to 5 settings that I would like to use, and without it being able to preset them it would make it only usable if I was going to tweak them and at Gigs that is just not probable, I would use helix xl, or FM9 fractel to get the changes. If the DSM was like 60 bucks, one could buy 3 and get most any O/F/D style pedal that was ever made. Ironically I have heard shoot outs where alot of times the winner is a Waza Craft Boss Ds2, so they did something right with that old style pedal,

I just bought the j archer Jeff and it smokes the real klon for $240. I grabbed it on sell at sweetwater. As a matter of fact it's a sweetwater exclusive in a pretty copper color so it should be worth good money some day. Hope you didn't pay the big bucks for the klon. J.S. great video anyway.

The Centura has a fatter sound, the Archor has a thinner sound and the Reactor sounds like a cheap Klon copy...and it was difficult to watch the video wiht this gorgeous blond girl smiling so beautiful to the camera.
The refractor isnât a cheap copy. Itâs the exact same circuit as a klon.
Archer beck klon. Is awesome. Itâ has little less gain more headroom. But. Awesome
