My friend has recently done his mk2 Leon Cupra r stage 2+ 377bhp and 380 ft lbs of torque from r tech. He just has a exhaust, downpipe, induction kit and high pressure fuel pump not even full stage 2+

People saying that in europe people drive so much better than in america. Well this was shot in uk and all ill say is that uk drivers r so tame compared to drivers on island of madeira. Everyone there is always up for a race even when just popping out to get some milk. The island is very challenging to drive on with many hairpin bends and corners and it teaches u to drive well. It also has a massive rally driving culture there. I just find people in uk dont know how to go round corners quickley.

@@SpoolmeUp712 Oh cool so u know what i mean! I lived there in my mid to late teens so my first 3 yrs of driving were spent there. It really helped with learning cornering skills.The trouble with country roads here is that you normally have high trees and bushes either side of road blocking the view of whats coming the other way. In madeira u can often see several corners ahead coz instead they have low walls by roadside so u can place the car better and go faster. Good video like it! U have the madeiran attitude 'always on the lookout for a race'

As an owner of a similar K04'd MKV GTI, I've felt almost like the car's true soul has finally been unleashed. It's so purely awesome GTI hot-hatch fast, like this is what it should have been from the factory if it weren't for the bean-counters and bureaucracy. Sure, there are the HP-number-chasers who go for the GT30/35/+ turbos, but then it just becomes obscene and it begins to lose its GTi character, imo. 350ish HP with a K04 is just right in my book.
Did you upgrade any of the internals? Or are you running a conservative tune? I know that the rods are kind of the weakest link. I have been doing a lot of reading and there seems to be a lot of varying opinions on the matter. I am looking to upgrade in the near future but I do not want to destroy the motor.
Adrian Billadeau I have 163k miles on the motor so far, KO4 since 110k, and tuned since 70k. No problems so far. I'm running APR 93 octane program. As long as you have a healthy engine and you cap the torque at 350-360 you should be good on stock rods.

Other than the turbo, I have an APR HPFP, modified S3 injectors, intake, APR turboback exhaust, and colder spark plugs. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Revision B cams are a must because the upgraded HPFP will further destroy the already poorly-designed A cams. BTW, if you have a DSG, don't bother with clutchpacks. I still have stock clutches and even with 150lb-ft over stock, after all these miles there is still no slipping whatsoever. You really need to go way into big turbo before clutchpacks become necessary.
Good to know about the cams. Sounds good man. I am not looking for insane hp or torque. I just want to wake it up just a bit you know. Make it use the power it has in the most efficient way. Na, no DSG for me, 6-speed all day...

6:08 That's proper way to lose a sight of one of those 5 zero cars (5 you ask? 4 on the front and 1 zero behind the steering wheel :D ). Around here, they really like to tailgate you, no matter if you drive just above the speed limit... gets very annoying. BMW and Skoda's are pretty much the same, they just wanna come close and keep sniffing your butt for some reason.
But very fun video. I'm about to buy mk5 GTi myself and this is something I'd imagine myself doing :P I mean yeah, my 5.7 hemi isn't bad, but it's not that quick, not even close (by close I mean with these numbers measured in seconds, couple of seconds is an eternity). Most of those drivers must've been thinking "my ride's pretty quick" then they see black family hatchback zoom past them and start thinking again :D Well done.

As much as a revo map is nice depending who does it for you, can feel aggressive. R Tech is very big for all vags and take their to get you much as possible but also keep you within the safe zone
I had a stage 2 map from r-tech on my MK2 Leon Cupra but decided to change to Revo for stage 2+ with linear throttle. Both maps were good but the Revo map felt a lot smoother to me.

Love the car and its quick but not really a good idea racing cars YOU KNOW have less power. Should make a video going up rs3, a45 or focus rs. I'm sure they'll give you a good race and might even beat them but rather see a good race than play around with less power cars

MacJunior696 k04 can easily make 360 bhp! Been known to make round the 400 mark in some cases but not sure how long will last at 400 ish

My k04 runs 330 and has done for 2 years! My best friends is 370 and has been for a year now! K04 is a strong turbo have a look into it

Luan Silva maintenance is no more than any other modified car but as a whole the tsi/bhz is quite a reliable unit,just make sure you modify it correctly in the first place and don't cut corners..
