And thats the best bit, ain't worried about the exterior the cars well out of its warranty so money spent on mechanicals rather than cosmetics.

I’ve got a mk7 GTI stage 1 apr high torque w/ DSG tune, love it so far, shifts are super fast. Low mileage, enjoying every minute of it.

Best sounding TFSI lump I have heard. Kudos to this guy, not my usual bag. I have always thought the mk5 Golf gti was bland especially coupled with a DSG box. But this is absolutely mega. Nice work 💪

Now I’ve finished the video… I’m glad I’m only going for 420 max due to this car not being able to be driven without spinning at silly speeds on and off throttle.

@@BlaxJakx just need to make sure you don’t use a breeze block for a foot on the accelerator. The throttle is not a switch.

Hi. Is it worth adding 420-460hp to a GTI Mk5? I have only stage 1 until 240hp. But.. i want downpipe TUV with catalatyst… and intercooler.

My mk5 gti has 180 000km and a stage 2. Keep em serviced and treat em sensibly and they're so much fun!

I really like the look of that centered exhaust. That would be so neat to do on my MK5. I've also been interested in a rear seat delete, but I'd like to separate the front cab for cooling and heating purposes. While the rear bracing is super cool, I wouldn't be willing to give up the functionality of the trunk for it, especially considering my car only makes stock BHP. I'm never going to need more bracing.
It's a cool build and I commend Tunde for taking care of a car for that many miles.

The 2.0t fsi needs some stuff done to it for it to be reliable. The balance shaft delete, replace the timing chain and tensioner in the rear, replace the thermostat and a few other bits and bobs then you might have a reliable engine.

My mkv is a late 2008 2009upgrade. With 88,000kms from new. But the repairs wow. Bi xenon headlight washer pumps. Abs esc. Pcv. Costly stuff. No mods at all. Can't part with it. But I worry about digital dashes etc. New Mk8 is hard to get down under and really expensive. Oh well.
I had money for a golf7 gti but bought a mk6, far better quality inside and feels more solid.

yeaaaaaah, but its been forged... Fresh rods, bearings etc.... So technically, not a 200k engine...
Everyone can slap a big turbo to a turbocharged car. But it's the block itself when it's not capable enough to handle the power.
Not relevant in this case, the block which is used in this build has been proven over 700bhp.

Must be quit liberating to be able tune a car to this level without the worry of manufacturers warranty.
