It’s important to note that at the end of this comic when Booster and Ted’s funding dries up and they think they can no longer run their mission and help the little guy, Batman visits them saying he believes in their mission of helping the everyday person and that he believes in them, FULLY FUNDING their operations from then.

I know batman and Batman characters being overexposed is kind of a meme but I actually like the idea that almost everyone thinks booster’s a laughingstock except for the hero who’s arguably the most revered in the dc world.
This is a severely underrated comment, but reverence is defined mostly as someone very respectful or a respectful act, and Batman is arguably the most petty superhero, so while I do agree, I would say that it is dunny because batman I'd arguably the pettiest superhero, (ie, the green lantern and yellow room)

@@megumin6206 that (Green Lantern in the yellow room) was from Frank Miller's All Star I'm the Goddamn Batman and Robin. It was a 10 or 12 issue run that got canceled somewhere in the middle. It was Batman at his worst- he mentally and physically tortured Dick Grayson in training not to mention starved him. He banged the Black Canary while a group of henchmen were burning to death and screaming. When when tallying up points on whether or not Batman is petty it's probably best to leave anything from that series out.

unfortunally is the bane of the medium, since its not up to one writer to make everything, when you add random writers this happens, most dont understand the character, that is why you have alot of instances of superman or batman being not like themselves

Why does it feel like every issue of the justice league with booster gold in it just makes them all assholes to booster gold when he's like mildly annoying at worst from what I've seen.
When written well it kinda makes sense
A lot of his thing is being DC’s “garbage man” but with time travel, if everything’s normal, it means he’s done a good job but if everything’s normal and no one knows what it’s like for things to be not normal, it’s hard to see what good he does when there’s literally no proof of it.
From their perspective booster is just Schlubby clout chaser all his great adventures are basically lies to them
It’s hard to trust someone when they present themselves as a kind of a knob and have great deeds that no one can ever see or remember
It’s a tragic case with a lot of these time travel involved stories
While juggling writers over dedicates, biases seep through and everyone’s idea of a character can change, so it DOES blow when characters are written to be jackasses to make another character more sympathetic, but it’s definitely not always the case with booster.
A lot of the time when he reaches that common ground, it often means he has to do the responsible thing and let time reset and accept the integrity and humility of doing good even if no one else knows and he gets no rewards for it a lot of the time.
If that ain’t the human condition personified, idk what is.

I would like a timeline where Ted and Booster Gold were like this and have to train a Jamie Reyes Blue Beetle. The OG Blue Beetle Ted Kord can train Jamie and tell him his predecessor had the power of the scarab and he doesn’t but still lives up to the mantle and Booster Gold has the technology almost similar to Jamie’s Scarab so Booster can teach Jamie about him and Skeets and even learning from each other- I think that be cool

He found out Golden tried stopping Barbra from getting shot and crippled many times by going back in time but no matter what it, always happened. Batman found pictures/security camera footage of Gold getting beat by the joker and grew a great respect for Gold saying that even if everyone else though Gold was a SOB he would always be allowed to come talk to the bat family/Batman himself

The one thing everyone forgets about Booster is he knew Doomsday was going to kill Superman and still fought against him. Also if I'm not mistaken, Booster took the first punch as well.
Batman know what booster does for the timeline behind the scenes, and when he was still reluctant doing that job, booster tried to save Barbara which joker photographed that's how batman found out, but since booster is older in those pictures, batman choose to wait until he looked the same age as the pictures .

Batman knows more about anyone than any member of the League. Blue Beetle vouching for Booster was a clear sign that there was more to the hero than there appeared to be. Batman in many continuities is the one most likely to give people a chance, like Plastic Man. It doesn't hurt that he always has contingency plans in case that chance is eventually squandered, like in The Brave and The Bold cartoon when teaming up with The Joker after having met The Red Hood of a different universe (who was a version of The Joker who stayed sane and was a hero).
One of the few times Ted is not slaughtered because DC cant justify a better batman in the dc universe.
Unless he is not apart of the justice league.

It's so weird that the Justice League would be so cliquey on who gets to be on their team. If I was a part of a huge team of heroes, I would want to have anyone that is willing to help to be a part of the team. Booster isn't a killer, a loose cannon, or a swindler.

I really appreciate Booster Gold, especially ever since events like Blue Beetle’s death. He’s just the perfect response character to the toxic trope of the character designed for abuse. Too often in fiction, you’re shown a character and are TOLD to hate and/or laugh at them because they have negative traits. And even when they do something great, the writers don’t understand that this is worthy of rewarding.
I always think back to Loonatics Unleashed with how it treats Danger Duck. No surprise I’m sure but the show has very bad writing. Duck is constantly dunked on because he’s the “clown to laugh at”. But in a specific episode, he makes a bet not to use his phone for a certain period of time and he’ll be rewarded if he does. He keeps to this until the person he made the bet with is in danger. Duck decides to use his phone in order to save that fellow crime fighter. And he’s rewarded by being forced to pay up for losing the bet, having his sacrifice mocked, told to get over himself, and laughed at by the others.
Booster is that flawed hero type where he’s driven by fame and money and all that. But he’s still a hero who risks his life to help people all the time. He’s clownish but he still does the right thing. Yet most of the characters are constantly belittling him. It’s really heartwarming to see that not only does Booster have a great friend like Ted to stand up for him, and not only is he willing to stand up for himself, but the stories ACKNOWLEDGE that he’s being unfairly treated. Even if Booster isn’t given justice in the story, it doesn’t pretend everything is fine.

I never liked Justice League stories like that. The thing that puts the Justice League one step above other superhero teams is that, everyone is invited. Everyone is welcome in the Hall of Justice and allowed to help out. It unites the Universe in a way I find really cool, like in Justice League Unlimited.
And I'm sorry, I don't think a League that accepted Black Adam and Naomi (who???) as members is rrally allowed to reject anyone
Okay but it takes turning down the justice league for there to finally be a superhero that actually helps the common folk directly? Batman fights mafiosos, Wonderwoman fights off the pits of Tartarus, Superman deals with aliem threats but who helps the old ladies cross the street? Spiderman, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. I cant think of anyone else who does this. Just sayin
