This guy looks healthy at 86 years old! Bless him...
Check out my "neighbor", Herlda Senhouse, whose b-day party was just in the news. She's the oldest living resident in MA, and still goes for her monthly mani/pedis 💅🏾, and loves to play 🎰 in casinos! 🥰 She's so dope, and looks INCREDIBLE at age 113❣👸🏾💎 She's inspiring, and cites _never having children_ as her secret to her stressless life & longevity.😎
87 now!
He was and is still so smooth.
And soooooo handsome!!!
He also isnt a racist like Sunny.
@@wonderfullymade425 She tried to put him in the "oppressed, Black man box", but he wouldn't have it. He took the reins and defined himself, and gently brushed off her attempt to manipulate him.
Loved how Florence on The Jeffersons was obsessed with him..."Billy Dee Willams...BILLY DEE WILLIAMS!!!!"
😂
That was too funny Florence kept sayin it BILLY DEE WILLIAMS BILLY DEE WILLIAMS BILLY DEE WILIUAMS!!!..George had to tell her shut up that scene jus cracks me up then she came out there in hair rollers n a robe had me dying laughing 🤣 😂
It didnt stop with Florence. Mary found a way to get him on 227! 🤣🤣🤣
I remember when he kissed Florence, and said, "Ciao bella" and left. She then screamed and then promptly fainted too funny. 😅😂😅😂😅

Billy Dee Williams!! ❤❤❤Still looks good!! ❤
Billy Dee was so laid-back, all that was missing from this interview was a glass of scotch and a cigar.
Not a colt 45 ? Just kidding
@@anthonytaylor7928 😂😂
@@anthonytaylor7928 Oh yeah!
Brian's Song was such a beautiful movie!!
I'm an older black male (almost 62 years old) and I've always seen him (he's now 86 years old) as another positive black role model. He has certainly paid it forward, especially in my youth and for many others and so I deeply thank him for that.
❤
“Brown skinned” role model😂😂
Billy D.Williams (In all his Tiger Woods delusion) literally just said, He wasn't black 😂
@@magicworld3242 That was when I stopped watching. It is sickening that an 86-year-old man could still be this ignorant.
I guess Billie Dee took the MORGAN FREEMAN approach! “
Why bring up RACE? Just don’t talk about it.”
Billie Dee Williams is an American ICON!👍
He is still GORGEOUS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mr. BIlly Dee Williams, the legend who made great black handsome men on television, so much fun to watch. He is still charming and a class act. Congratulations on all of his amazing achievements ❤
Yessss!!! Hahahah! Love it.
@JesusisLordSEEK
This man has experienced and seen more things than anyone in that room- they tried hard to get him to play victim and he wasnt playing that game. havent they seen him in interviews, he doesnt play the victim card .
Very likable he is. Very humble and honest (unlike the majority of his interviewers).
Be size he ain’t a liberal looney 😂 he’s a conservative intelligent experienced man
And thank Heavens for that.@@dimelo8826
Smooth as Cognac.
Smoother! 😊
What a beautiful classy man. Young people should take notice. This is how to behave.
*My mom dragged me and my sister to see "Lady Sings the Blues" and im forever grateful. My mom was a Billie Holiday fan and and even bigger Billie Dee fan.❤*
I was 8 yrs young at the time when we saw it. I still get goolie eyed when he comes down those steps on the iconic movie scene.😍 I set up straight in my movie seat.
I love the fact of how he shut Sonny down, quick fast & in an hurry, with all due respect as only The Billy Dee Williams can🤣. Plus, in his day the term ‘people of color’ did not exist (only in today’s era). This man clearly knows who he is, who Sonny is & who his audience is. His mother was a secretary & studied opera. Hence, this man is not only knowledgeable but has a great command of the English language💜
If it was another BLACK person, uoud have said theyre DENYING their race prefering to be called brown , which I thought was what you American call people from south America and Asia. I dont like that term either coz tgeres white, dark, light, brown etc. But you guts are cinfusing wanting to be called African- when youve no clue where it sits on the map, black -not mixed...its tiring
I loved it. He really really does. He told Sunny to shut up.
Does Sunny have to make everything about race? Literally, almost every day, this woman brings up race on the show. I have never in my life seen a person who obsesses so much about skin color. I also find it fascinating how she always loves to play the oppressed black woman when she's on a national TV show, gets paid millions of dollars, and lives in a $7 million mansion. She is becoming so exhausting to watch I don't understand why ABC keeps her on the show.
PERIOD. and I have a friend that knows her father. everything she says is a liar. I'm surprised she told the truth for once about her own family with the ancestry. her son goes to Harvard, and other stuff that I will not mention here, but privately wouldn't mind. she's paid millions, she's never been poor a day in her life EVER even in the "memoir" of hers. she' s a liar, and she's a huge racial peddler. There's money to be made in the racial grievance industry. (it's an actual industry, and this chick benefits so much) never ever liked Ascunsion Cummings.@@breebartkowiakova
@@breebartkowiakova She’s tryin’ to play ‘victim’ when she is no more a victim than a person livin’ on 5th Ave🤣
Billy Dee Williams is a talented and unique actor. His personality is awesome. I remember when he appear in the STAR WARS MOVIE RETURN OF THE JEDI he was legendary.
I saw Brian’s song at 13 and I cried like a baby. Best Made For TV Movie of all time. They did great miniseries and series, but that’s different
Ditto,, 1st movie I cried at too
" How he did live". Last words of Brian's Song.... thanks for jogging a memory..

Teary eyed 😢 just thinking about that movie.

Billy Dee Williams "my God I'm an old person" 😂
He looks great!
Billy Dee, one of the greatest of the great. Remember seeing him as a kid. Thank you Billy Dee.
From the first time I saw him say that line in the movie theatre in Mohagani, I have never forgotten it...and it has proved to be true.
Whut line was said
I think it ridiculous that there is ‘negative’ comments about this interview. He is authentic, truthful, and genuine. The ladies of the View (professionals of their careers) were also gracious in their participation to document a glimpse into his life, and contributions for decades to mine/ours. Love his quotes “Success is nothing if you don’t have someone to share it with.” What a career he has (and they shared) with us. Bravo! Thank you!
FALSE 😂😂😂
They were being idiots...just like every other day...making everything about race.
Dear lord....
Billy Dee was only on 3 episodes of Dynasty. I wish he was on more
Loved him since Lady Sings the Blues💙💙💙
Everybody is a people of color is what he said first, then Sunny tried to push racism by saying he was black. He corrected her that is skin is more brown. What he said had nothing to do with race, just an accurate description of his color. Love this guy for not being divisive. He’s not racist at all, but the hosts of The View are!
Everyone is not a person of color, and no one on The View is racist!
It's not about being divisive, he literally wrote that the exclusion and BS due to his RACE *caused DEPRESSION.*
*Did you actually **_watch_** this video??*
Yes, were called black by the conqueror. They called themselves white. We are more cooper toned, and they are more pink. The conqueror made the laws and rules.

We love billy dee williams
I love ❤️ his honest answer as he sees it. Look we have young people today not identifying or identifying as “pronouns”. Who knew that would ever happen. But when a clearly brown skinned man says I’m brown not black no one has to comment or question why. He’s not seeking approval or a conversation about his views they are simply his views of himself. I really never understood why we identifying African Americans as black-they are not black. We made color a nationality. 😊
My favourite line from Billy Dee Williams...."would you like my arm to fall off?" #Classic
"YOU want my arm to fall off?"
They cackle - actually cackle
Remember on the Martin show when Pam called Martin "Billy Flee Williams" 😂

Still aging like fine wine 🍷
Billy Dee didn't let them run the race baiting narrative at all! He kept them in check in the most sublime and gentlemanly way! I've always been a huge fan of Billy Dee! He's a mans man!!
I’ve been in love with him since he played Gale Sayers in “Brian’s Song” beautiful beautiful man!
He wrote about something then acted bewildered when asked about it
My Grandmother LOVED BILLY DEE WILLIAMS!!!❤❤❤
Every grandmother love Billy Dee Williams back in the days.
She had good taste.
Every grandmother black or white loved Billy Dee!! A MAN among men!
"You look absolutely beautiful. You truly belong here with us among the clouds."
Will always remember Lando Calrissian, when I think of Billy D.
He's still got it!
THAT VERY SEXY, MELLOW, HYPNOTIZING VOICE ❗❗❗

He was great on General Hospital: Night Shift! Him and Sonya Eddy were a great couple! He was great in Star Wars also! He's still one hot and gorgeous man!!!!
Billy Dee Williams...OMG! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
When i was going up i always wanted to meet Billy D Williams i admire him many yrs also smokey Bill Al green 💚 💙 ❤️ truly trailblazer ❤❤❤
I have always admired him since Brian's song. He wasn't let them segregate him. Brian's song was about a friendship.
And she goes straight to the race card.
What is the "race card" ? Are you talking about this country's history of racism and ignorance? It's not a card. It's a social ill that needs to be addressed and ended !
How though when the topic lend itself to her choice of words? She didn't mean no harm. Billy has always come off as being too pompous and prideful.
Wow can't believe he's 86 he looks mid 60s!! Amazing
Billy Dee 🙏
Wow, his intellect …hopefully one day I’ll be as wise as this great man ❤
They attempted to put him in the "Oppressed Black Man Box" instead of just celebrating him respectfully for his acting career. He wasn't having it, either. He gently brushes off Sunny's manipulation, and defines himself with dignity. He's above their intelligence and knows it, but remains humble.
Billy Dee above other people's intelligence? I've been watching him for many years but never heard or saw any evidence that that was true. Interesting. From all I have seen and heard of him, I would never have guessed. But in his book he speaks about being offered stereotypical roles, so although he may not acknowledge what "of color" means, it seems he is at least aware that it means something to others.
@@emilerose1424 Williams was on alert, and deftly resisted getting sucked into Sunny's hope to have him spout racial accusations of abuse and unfairness. It appears he judged that as beneath his integrity to jump on that bandwagon.

@@valkimura1053For those of us who have studied media history, Sunny Hostin was simply stating a historical fact. Books by Hollywood history researchers like Donald Bogle and Gary Null show that hundreds of Black entertainers (not to mention scientists, athletes, models, and on and on and on and on) never got the opportunities they earned because Euro-Americans who controlled strings didn't want them to have it. That's NOT a victim story; that's just straight-up history. Don't hate the historian; hate the story. As for Billy Dee, he is fun to watch on the screen, but he has often shown an alarming and careless lack of consciousness about history--all the way back to some of his 1960s interviews. His focus was to swirl, so nothing new to see here. But just because some states are so ashamed of their history that they don't want you to learn it doesn't mean that Sunny has to act scared of history, too.
@@breebartkowiakova Some people are too fragile to talk about race. It is my hope that they never have to actually face discrimination. If they can't stand to hear about race, imagine what would happen if they had to deal with it as a looming factor in their daily lives like millions of other people do.
Wow.. he had a twin sister & her name was Lady considering Lady Sings The Blues was such a well known role is his career❤
Billy Dee Williams you're right we're not black we are differences shades of brown !

Sounds like he had a great support group around him.
Very family oriented.
2:46 Sunny seemed surprised, but that's exactly how Billy Dee got successful. Persevering despite other's people's focus on race.
Yes! That's what more people need to do! Keep pushing forward!
It's a generational thing.
You do realize there were laws implemented into society preventing people from persevering based solely on race ? Or did you purposely make a conscious decision to embrace ignorance and pretend that didn't and still doesn't exist ? Asking for a friend ? I'll wait......... for your answer.........
Asking him about what HE wrote in HIS book about RACE is not 'focusing' on it. It seems like people are too fragile and threatened to even discuss the well known issues that have occurred in this country without slamming people for acting like victims or calling them race baiters. White fragility isn't going to erase history and the discussion of it, no matter how many times Black people get denigrated for discussing historical facts.
No, he was stating a fact he is a Brown skinned man, that does not mean he was denying being African American ..for we come in ALL shades..He seems to be a complex man, who does not like being put in boxes..When do you hear a man of any race, talk about Jungs concept of Anima & Animus on national television which he identifies with.. I commend him for just being himself...

He outclassed these race hustlin talkin heads in one minute.

I saw Billy Dee Williams play Martin Luther King in I having a dream at Ford’s Theatre where Lincoln was assassinated in 1976. It was a high school trip and Coretta Scott King was in the audience.

My God though... thought those hens were going to fall off their chairs fawning all over him.... but hey... he's Billy Dee!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. 1
I love how Billy politely shot back at sunny when she tried to put words in his mouth. He's not a victim and doesn't call himself black. Quit stereotyping people especially when you don't know a thing about them. If you always play the victim and race card you will be spinning your tires all your life and next thing you realize most your life has passed you bye. Good job BDW.
If a person identifies as "black" then their default is a victim narrative? That's a pretty broad brush.
