    You can also just buy 30pin to lightning adapter I got one for 7$ on amazon

    Hello,
    Thank you for posting this.
    Can you explain what the 2 different ports do? Is the 3.5mm plug for power or audio input? Does the USB only charge the phone or can it also receive audio input?

      I believe the USB port does have data capability and can interface with an iPod or iPhone if you wish to connect it using a cable - this will display track info I think on the head unit. However, in this case I am only using it to power the Bluetooth dongle. Audio goes through the 3.5mm plug, and not via USB in either case. HTH!

      I think standard USB is 5v DC.
