  • While most assume Revelation is about the end of planet Earth, it actually never speaks on such a topic. So what does it teach?

    This is amazing. I’ve been a Christian for 30 years and I’m just now beginning to appreciate the Bible. I’ve always prayed for the ability to read and absorb the words, but always struggled. Recently I’ve been studying on my own, and it’s overwhelming. This channel and Church is helping me too.

    I wasnt taught my doctrine by man. I have been committed to seeking God since I was four. And though I think I know anything, I know nothing yet as I aught. My father was a minister though a dispensationalist. He had a zeal for the truth but became old and senile before I could share with him the revelations revealed to me through the word and prayer.

    The other thing dispensationalists do not get, is that Christ reigns now. He must reign until all enemies are put under his feet. And the last enemy is death.

    • @williambunter3311

      jackiegreen; No! Stop misquoting Scripture. The Lord Jesus is presently seated on His Father's throne. In Ps.110 the Father tells Him to rest there until His enemies are under His feet. This will happen at Armageddon. Then Christ will reign from His own throne over His millennial kingdom. You are not rightly dividing the word of God. Don't sneer at dispensationalists, because they know a hundred times more than you or these fake, ignorant, 'teachers' do. Try checking with Scripture before you start misqouting it in your comments.

    The church I went to when I was a kid , they didn't know that the temple had been destroyed already in 70 ad. They thought the temple mount was the temple that was to be destroyed. Sound was still trying to keep the Sabbath and though they could buy or sell or do any work. This was 50 years ago. They were waiting for the temple mount to be surrounded by armies so Christ would come back. They didn't know he was already here even though they were saved and spoke in tongues as they believed they should to have his spirit to be saved. according to law the only way he could be free from the mosaic covenant was to die. That is just what he did. It freed him from the covenant of Mosaic so he could pour out his spirit on all flesh.

    I also believe that John the Revelator was not John the Apostle due to the persecution of the later by Domitian in the 90s AD. I believe that Yeshua returned in judgement.
    What I need to understand, and maybe I missed it, is when do we receive glorified bodies? That is my hope as a Christian, to be like Him (1Corinthians 15:51-54; 1Thessalonians 4:15-17).
    When did the resurrection of the dead and the judgement of all occur (Matthew 25:31-46 and Revelation 20:11-15)? This is vitally important as everything else is justifiable, but to say that all has been fulfilled would include the resurrection of the dead and the final judgement!? I just need to know how you make it to the full preterist view because I am "partially" there. :-)

    • @chazsmith6333
      @chazsmith6333 Před 5 lety +3

      RONALD FOSTER My understanding is that the judgement was for the Jews. The end of the Old Covenant brought the judgement of the living and the dead. Those who had been under the law of Moses. After AD 70 the law of Moses passed away. As far as a glorified body there are several thoughts. On one side you have individual body, like what you mentioned. The other side believes in a corporate body, such as the body of Christ. I’m still learning this but my current thought is that it’s a corporate body. Some mix the two. I think it’s an issue that doesn’t change the reality of preterism but it is a puzzle piece that we need to try and place in the correct part of the picture. Keep studying just as I will, as well.

    If I understand what you said correctly, Neros was the beast. What about this verse? Did he require all to get a mark? Who was the anti Christ? Revelation 13:16-18 ESV
    Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

    I appreciate these messages about preterism, etc. Sometimes I don’t have 1 to 3 hours for all the detail and would respectfully like the bullet points. If Jesus/Yeshua returned in the first century, where does that leave us? Has the 1000 year reign already taken place? (The math doesn’t match up.) Are we in the little season? Are we waiting for another judgement, destruction of earth and new heaven to come to earth? When saved Christians die these days, do they go to sleep in the grave or go on up to heaven?

    At time 49. The word says rather than marry again let a man be reconciled to his wife. Revelations shows a marriage. So is it Israel? Though we know the new bride is neither Jew nor gentile but those who worship God in spirit and truth.

    • @williambunter3311
      @williambunter3311 Před 8 měsíci

      jackiegreen; You are comparing likewith unlike, jackie. When the bible says that a man should be reconciled to his wife this is referring to the marriage bond between a man and a woman. In a different context, the bible refers to Israel as the 'wife of Jehovah', and to the church as the 'bride of Christ'. You are right to point out that the church is composed of both Jews and Gentiles; this was the 'mystery' revealed to Paul, i.e. that the middle wall of partition between Jews and Gentiles was broken down by the death of Christ. This was signified by the fact that at the moment Christ died, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom ( Mt.27 v51). In Old Testament times, only the High priest could enter the holy of holies through the hanging curtain in the temple, and even he could do so only once a year, on the day of Atonement. But now that the Lord Jesus has made atonement for our sins, every believer in Christ, whether Jew or Gentile, is invited to come boldly unto the throne of grace freely (Heb.4 v16). Jewish and Gentile Christians are all alike members of the body of Christ, the distinction between then has been erased.This is wonderful.
      But this does not mean that the church has replaced National Israel.The new covenant, the covenant of grace, has replaced the covenant of the Mosaic law. However, what the men who made this video have not learnt is that the other covenants made with Israel as a nation have yet to be fulfilled, for example the Palestinian covenant, and the Davidic covenant, and the Abrahamic covenant. God will keep every one of His covenant promises with israel, through Christ, and this will happen in Christ's millennial kingdom, yet to come. The church will reign with Christ over His millenial kingdom. Both Zechariah and the apostle John in Revelation write that the Jews will finally look on the One whom they pierced, and will repent nationally, and will acknowledge that the Lord Jesus is indeed their Messiah. Then they will enter Christ's millennial kingdom on earth. This kingdom will last initially for a thousand years ( Rev.20 v4), and then will come the Great White Throne judgement, followed by the eternal new heavens and new earth. See Rev. 21 and 22.
      When the church has been raptured and removed to heaven (1 Thess. 4 vv14-16) the Lord will resume His dealing with the nation of Israel, leading to their repentance, prior to the final battle at Armageddon when all the nations will be gathered around israel (Rev,19). Christ will destroy the invders and establish His kingdom.
      All these things, and much more besides, are there to be seen in the bible. The men who make this video, and other similar videos, are totally ignorant of dispensational truth. They are flat-earthers, Jew-haters and ignorant preterists. The Lord Jesus and the apostles Paul and Peter all warned that in the last days would come a whole host of false teachers and prophets. Paul wrote that many people woud have 'itching ears' and would draw these false teachers to themselves. And there is the sad fact, too, that many believers are just too lazy to study the scriptures painstakingly for themselves, and just plump for the sort of rubbish spewed out on social media, and so make themselves easy prey for these frauds. i wish you well.

      Jesus told them that that generation would not pass till all these things take place.

    You might enjoy 15 minutes of fame today but misleading people brings about curses.
    Preterism is impossible, simply because you maintain that John wrote the book before AD 70. Many writers in the early centuries of the church place John’s banishment to the Isle of Patmos and the writing of Revelation late in the reign of the Emperor Domitian, who ruled over Rome from AD 81-96. Irenaeus, who grew up in the church at Smyrna and later became a prominent writer in the early church, stated that John wrote Revelation during this time.
    And, if Jesus returned in AD 70 as Preterists claim, why is it that so many prominent church fathers still looked for it as a future event in the early centuries of the church? Leaders such as Papias (70-163), Irenaeus (130-202), Justyn Martyr (100-165), and Tertullian (155-240) all wrote about Jesus’ future return to rule over the world. How could the entire church have missed Jesus’ glorious Second Coming in AD 70? It’s impossible.

      goodnews; Yes, absolutely. I'm afraid we are seeing more and more fake teachers like these today, as we see the return of our Saviour draw near. The apostle Paul said that in these closing days many would have itching ears and would willingly draw to themselves all these fraudulent 'teachers' and so-called 'prophets'. And, to be honest, I don't think most of these false teachers are merely mistaken, but are actually non-believers making a quick buck out of their gullible followers.

    The beast with seven heads that the woman (Jerusalem) of Revelation 17 was sitting atop of was described first as many waters, and then as seven heads, also as seven mountains, and finally as seven kings. (The key to the interpretation of the seven heads of the beast is found in Daniel 7, stating the four beasts are four kings, and the four kings are FOUR KINGDOMS.) So, the seven kings are actually SEVEN KINGDOMS. The seven heads of the beast are not about seven individuals or even seven literal mountains.
    It is the same sea beast of Revelation 13. The seven heads are seven kings (kingdoms): five are fallen-1) Egypt, 2) Assyria, 3) Babylon, 4) Medo-Persia, 5) Greece; and one is-6) Pagan Rome; and the other is not yet come- 7) Papal Rome and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. When John is speaking, the five previous kingdoms no longer exist, John is living during the sixth kingdom (beast) of Pagan Rome, and the dreadful beast of Papal Rome is yet to come.
    “Son of Man, cause JERUSALEM to know HER abominations,” the CITY OF JERUSALEM (portrayed as a woman) in Ezekiel 16, Ezekiel 23, and Hosea was a harlot, an adulterous wife who takes in strangers instead of her husband. “Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:” Ezekiel 16:35 begins her judgment. The woman atop of the beast is the old unfaithful city of Jerusalem. Isaiah 1:21 says “ How is the faithful city become an harlot!... “Jeremiah 2:20 …when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.
    Yes, I agree that Revelation 17 and Revelation 18 are about the judgment of Jesus’ unfaithful wife -old city of Jerusalem under the old covenant. Revelation contrasts the OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM with the NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM under the new covenant- -HARLOT versus the VIRGIN BRIDE-whose sins were not only forgiven, but her sins were blotted out!
