I came up with all this several years ago when I decided to start over in my study of the Bible regarding end times. I then began to hear or read about preterism. Of course, I always ask God to give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Great job, well said! So nice to find like-minded Christians!

I have believed in Christ since I was probably 9 years old. I followed the futurist view all my life and always had questions to the contradictions constantly visible between doctrines and denominations. Even today, people continue to take scripture out of context and apply it, in some individual serving way, where as it suits that person best. Essentially, today's Christians put "God" in a box and even worse... expect that HE should serve us.
It just does NOT work that way.
If more believers were to open up and consider what this pastor says and explains... there would be so much less mystery to "everything bible".
I began to accept the preterest view in 2012 after researching and searching for myself, as this pastor has challenged us all to do, and discovering just how solid preterism really is. Consider also that the founding fathers and other believers across the globe do not buy into a futurist view.
You will most likely never find a church that microscopically focuses on scripture, context, and valuable means to interpreting what scriptures have proclaimed since the original letters... before the bible was a book.
Anyone can read the bible... but not everyone knows "HOW" to read it.
I would challenge every Christian to take a hard look at their own theology.
Honestly, we would not have multiple denominations of churches if everyone began to interpret scripture properly.
How united all believers would be and what a force to be reckoned with in today's global culture.
The different denominations are the problem. They all want to be right when all of them are wrong. None of them know that Jesus Angel in Rev.1:1 is the Holy Spirit, the Teacher of all Truth.
Another problem is that they all teach that God created a race of angels, which Genesis chapter 1 will not support. They are adding to the Scriptures as early as Genesis chapter 1. And writing their Bible translations to fit their agenda.
It really doesn't matter if some doesn't believe it ended at the cross , because it has been fulfilled in Christ, as he said, it is finished.
Don, I've come to a gradual acceptance of preterism in say, the last 6 yrs .Until then I was a futurist-since 1974..I am now 62 yrs old. I have been married for 35 yrs. The trouble is,my wife is still caught up(no pun intended) in futurism .Whenever I try to approach her on the subject she freaks out or shuts down--as though I'm going to burst her bubble world that she has around her. The church we attend--I go their for her--and I don't agree with hardly anything they teach. I wish I knew how to approach her without her treating me like a heretic. I love her. I don't to hurt her.---but I also don't want her to continue in the blind deception that I was in for so many years. Any advice?--I'd appreciate it.---SHANE

If preterism is correct and there is no future second coming of Christ, then what about the resurrection: the first resurrection, the millennium, the great white throne judgment, the throwing of the devil in the lake of fire, and the second resurrection? (Rev. 20:5-6, 7-10, 11-15) When did that happen and how?
Also, if the second coming is in the past does that mean that this world with all its injustice and suffering will go on forever - without an interference of God, and there will never be an earthly paradise? Does that mean that our only hope is life in heaven, and thus no bodily resurrection in the future?
What about the battle of Armageddon? And christ ruling for 1 millennia with the rod of iron and the fall of babylon ... as we know the devil still exists so long sin exists

second coming mentioned in math 24 does not mention the following: mark of the beast, great white throne room judgement, new jerusalem. they are different prophecies.
34:40 Interestingly enough the church in Philadelphia had it's name changed to Flavia during Vespasian's reign between AD 69-79. So that is another dagger to the late date view. If Revelation was written in AD96 the writer would have addressed the church in Flavia

I am glad I got here soon enough so that I didn't have to see the horribly misinformed and distasteful comments.
I am seeking the One and Only true living LORD GOD ALMIGHTY's truth and as such I run across different options and doctrines. I briefly heard of this a couple yrs ago, only a few yrs young in the LORD (55 as men count yrs) and due to more and more studying I came across your teachings... I pray to return and listen to more and will subscribe so I can. So far I can not agree or disagree with your teaching, I will have to pray and seek HIS guidance... (not that easy for me tho as I seem to always question, seek and question even more and then find other rabbit holes to wander through). I just have these verses to add.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
If christ returned in 70 ad then what do you say when he appeared to the disciples in Flesh numerous times (after resurrection) wouldn't that be a second coming? If the first coming was in flesh we so expect the second coming to be in flesh to judge the nations with justice and wrath at the battle of armagedon which is yet to be seen....there are many flaws to this preterict view and many questions
Christ was seen on earth for 40 days after his resurrection. In Acts 1 he was seen being taken up in the clouds. That was the LAST of his earthly ministry and is not a 2nd coming.
His 2nd coming is supposed to be grand and every eye will see.
If every eye saw him come in ad70 then I would think history books would have said so. If it all happened then would we not have heard about it from Christians and historians alike? This view says 2000 yrs of church history has been wrong.

when he died the dead were resurrected because they walked the streets of Jerusalem. For Us one God believers the second coming was at Pentecost as Jesus is the Holy Ghost. He was with his followers comforting them with his humanity and told them I will come again in the the spirit at Pentecost to comfort U. Jesus coming at AD 70 was with wrath.
One question, if we believers are all in the kingdom of God now, why do we all still have different theologies?

Lazarus could not have measured the Temple nor have written these words, as he was not here. See John 12:10.
John was indeed here and able to measure and write. See John 21:22.

It says the planned to kill Lazarus. Not that they actually accomplished their goal.
John whom Jesus loved is the writer of the Revelation. He wrote 5 books. The Gospel of John, first, second, and third John, and the Revelation
Jesus told everyone, before heaven and earth can pass that the law and the prophets had to be had to be fulfilled first. It can be accomplish then.
Of course he said till heaven and earth pass, but we know what he meant. It has been all accomplished regardless of how it is worded. It is the same thing. Of course we want to hang on the specifics to be accurate.

a few things I believe that was in Error. #1. the clouds explanation don't get it. He left with clouds and will return with clouds, Acts 1:9 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a Cloud received him out of their sight”.
Now his return,
Acts 1:10-11 "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”. well they saw him, so in like manner he must have been seen in 70 AD. but he was not so that is reproved.
#2. the Lord Jesus return is a two fold return, meaning, first in Spirit, then in flesh. and the first return of this two fold return happen on Pentecost. John chapter 14 bear this out. and his second return of this two fold return in bodily form is yet to happen. so the destruction on Jerusalem was not a return of the Lord Jesus/Yeshua at all.
daniel 7:12-13 night vision and acts 1:9 says and a cloud received him out of there sight verse 11 says this same JESUS which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you see him go into heaven. so this all points to daniel night vision in short version the son of man came with the clouds of heaven. so acts 1:9 has nothing to do with a physical coming all to do with judgment he was recieved by a cloud and return on a cloud my best answer read daniel 7:12-13
1. Josephus recorded seeing armies in the clouds. God would come in judgment upon the clouds in the OT. Jesus said He would judge in the same manner as His Father. The clouds were the emphasis in Acts 10.
2. The physical ie. flesh, is always first, then that which is spiritual. Old Covenant then New. Physical Jerusalem then New Jerusalem. A physical ppl, now a spiritual ppl. and on and on....

Amen. I've always noticed there being 3 comings as well. It may help if we use Paul's word "appear" or "appearing" in place of 'coming', to aid in parsing this out.

The Two Witnesses are GOD the Father and GOD the Holy Spirit. They are the same Two Olive Trees in Zechariah's vision in Zechariah Chapter 4. Jesus who They are pouring their Spirit in (the Golden Oil) is symbolized by the Bowl, God's Vessel

What do you do with the mark of the beast and the anti christ?
Why are not these important questions answered. I asked about cashless society, mark to buy and sell. There are many things ignored by this preterist view. But it has seriously messed me up.
This is a false teaching. Even in the apostles day there were people teaching that Jesus had already returned. This Bible is a living word. It remains true.
Read the word! Put your faith in Jesus Christ. We don't have to know all the details. This guy seems like a lone wolf leading people astray

You can see why "They" push futurism so much and even formed a new Israel to trick us. If you think you're going to be rescued you don't fight back as hard.
Yes Jesus will come sitting on the Cloud in power (Rev.14:14) this will be in fulfillment of Acts1:9. The Two Men in vs.10 are Jesus's Two Witnesses in Revelation chapter 11, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. They told the disciples that Jesus who the Cloud received into Heaven, will come back in like manner.
In every decade following the death of Jesus, his return was imminent, like within the next year or two.

There is so many things that people understand about words. if someone says they are coming soon they don't give a date as to when they are coming , it means they don't want to know exactly when it going to be. Jesus even told them it was them to know the time.
Luke 1: 31-33 "Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end!"
This promise has yet to be fulfilled!

Can someone help me. Will Jesus ever appear in the sky or will he never really come back on the clouds to judge? I want to know or a study about that. I can understand that it was for their time but about us? Will he ever appear that we can see Him.
When your physical body dies you'll see Him! His Kingdom has no end so there is no end to the New Covenant World!
I've listened to several of David's messages and in all of those - he uses the ESV bible.

Its been proven that the writings of john happened long before 90 ad. Way sooner than originally thought. A british guy figured it out. They investigated and concluded it would have been written while john was in patmos.
20:50 Why did he stop at Galba though...Otho served for 3 months in AD 69...Vitellius reigned in AD 69 and even Vespasian served one month in AD 69. All of these were before the Destruction of Jerusalem. The argument for the Seven Kings doesn't work here. Why stop at Galba? And also why did you start with Julius? The beginning of the Julio-Claudian dynasty started with Augustus. That would make Nero the 5th Caesar not the 6th.
Please tell me more about what could be wrong with this theory. It is very damaging. And just at a cursory look many things DID NOT COME TO PASS.

most want to say that old heaven and earth didn't burn like Paul talked about it didn't melt with fervent heat. They want the paradise of the garden of Eden to live in. It didn't say we would live in the Garden of Eden, but in the new covenant. The tree of life is Jesus.

At 52:14 he mentions the resurrection of believers as described in 1 Thess. 4 but he doesn’t explain how it happened. Were the dead resurrected or not?
Regardless of what some say the new covenant was after he arose from the grave. it is all in the past so it doesn't matter it has been fulfilled in Christ.
Not til the OC was destroyed in 70ad. The Transitional period was between the two Covenants. The Old was fading away and the New was being birthed. The New came immediately after the death of the Old.
@@Anotherparadigmshift The old covenant was removed at the cross. It took time to make transition from the old covenant because that was all they knew. They wasn't used to just believing in a person and being saved but they had all these rituals and things of sacrifices to and was used to all of this. It took a while to change from all of this.

The coming of the Son of man coming on "THE" CLOUD in Revelation 14:14 is the second part answer in Matthew 24:29-31 which refers to the end of the entire world. I put quotation marks on "the" because the Cloud is the same Cloud throughout the Bible beginning in Genesis chapter 9. It is the Cloud Jesus ascended to Heaven on in Acts1:9 and the Two Witnesses ascended to Heaven on in Rev.11:12. They are God the Father and God the Holy Spirit who are in Christ. Revelation chapter 11 is about Jesus who is the one who actually went up in the Cloud in Revelation 11:12. God the Father and the Holy Spirit were in Jesus. God the Son is not explicitly present in chapter 11 because it calls for TWO WITNESSES, not 3. God was in Christ reconciling the 🌎 unto Himself. That Jesus's Two Witnesses are GOD is hinted at again and again. Revelation 11:6 says, "these have power to shut heaven that it rain not, and power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with all plagues AS OFTEN AS THEY DESIRE." The commentators interpretations are always humanistic. They say Moses had power to turn waters into blood and Elijah had power to stop the rain from falling, when it was the Two Witnesses who were working through them. The power spoken of is OMNIPOTENT inherent Power, which is supported by the words "AS OFTEN AS THEY DESIRE." They are the same Two Olive Trees in Zechariah chapter 4, supplying Jesus the Bowl with their Golden Oil, the symbol of Their Spirit. They are the Anointing, not the anointed l could go on and on because l understand the Doctrine of Biblical Symbolism which God designed and all scholarship neglected and l have written a commentary on Revelation chapter 11 which is an original interpretation by one of Jesus's little ones, who is not a professional scholar. As one has aptly said, "The Bible was not given to professional theologians it was given to the body of Christ."

its your translation that you are using king james and the youngs translations both use 42 months(rev 11:2). get the bible app and you can read several translations dont just rely on one translation my best answer
And chapter 17 verse 9 and 10 as we see he's talking about the seven Kings. But up in verse 2 we see John is in the spirit out in the wilderness so this is a dream he is seen. But at 18:3 we see that Babylon has fallen. So verse 9 and 10 is telling you when the 7th King is in play that's when Babylon is going to fall. Now we go to Babylon 18:20 and 24 iwe see here this is when Babylon has killed the prophets and the apostles in the saints. Where at in history has Babylon killed a prophet? We go to Matthew chapter 23 Jesus gave the Pharisees the only charge of killing the prophets in the wise men only Jerusalem and the Jews killed the prophets and the Wiseman. So how can Babylon kill Prophets they tried to kill Daniel but failed. So this demands that we have profits that has been risen in order Babylon to kill him. Or we have a new set of prophets and apostles The Babylon of the future gets to kill. Or quite frankly Babylon is Jerusalem and this is 70 AD.
Remember that LORD is invisible that is why he was never physically seen on the Clouds, which I kind of support your view of LORD bringing judgment rather than a physical appearance (in the Old Testament) The problem with this though is that Yeshua is the VERB he became flesh and ascended to heaven in FLESH. It would make sense that he will return in FLESH just as the disciples saw him. Wish I could talk to you about so many things and interesting questions
The "in like manner" is referring to being in the cloud. Also flesh and blood cannot enter into Kingdom of Heaven.

We are literally going to see Jesus coming on the Cloud he is sitting on in Rev.14:14, as literally as His disciple saw Him go up in the Cloud in Acts 9-11. Neither Jesus or the Divine Trinty invisible, or cannot be seen. If God cannot be seen, Jesus is a liar, and He is not. Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart ❤️ for they shall SEE God." We will see God literally, the way Moses literally SAW the entire Trinity in Genesis chapter 18. Jesus is not a liar, which proves scholarship invented the false doctrine of God who can not be seen. God is not the invisible God, He is "the unseen God." THIS last phrase does not mean God hasn't been seen, because the Old Testament saints testified they SAW God. He is unseen to us now but we will see Him to as Jesus testified. See, Revelation 21:3-4

Joseph, DC is not very computer savvy and never responds to people on YT or FB. My advice though is get on FB and go onto the BBC page... that is where most interaction transpires. Also, there are many other preterist pages on FB where you can get help with your question. I have the same issue as you, I have made headway by asking questions. Ok, let's say the temple was still standing when Revelation was written, and John was told to measure it. There's still a problem: how did he get off the island of Patmos to do that? By the way, if Revelation is completed, where is the New Heaven and New Earth? God forbid THIS planet is it!!!
