The irony of the challenger, you can only get AWD with the engine that doesn’t need it...
Challenger GT is a great Challenger option for a daily driver in the north or northeast. All other Challengers are useless in the Snow/Rain/ice. So for those who want to be able to drive your Challenger November thru March, the Challenger GT is the only choice. The Pentastar engine is a great Engine, and the fuel economy is also great.

The R/T is still a 5.7 Hemi and the Scat Pack is a 6.4 Hemi. The Hellcat is 6.2 supercharged Hemi. They are all Hemi's James.

As for someone who's "first" car is a 2006 Toyota Prius I share with my mom, after ordering my Charger GT, I can safely say it's a fantastic car and I absolutely love it.
Its an every day muscle-ish car. If your not racing with a V8 HEMI your literally burning gas (money) and making noise for nothing if it's your every day car. Most people today want an automatic which is about $20k more GT vs Scat Pack. For me, once the price hits $60k dodge leaves the chat entirely. $20k to go .8 of a second fast (0-60) and make noise that's like paying $400 more to get a 1TB iPhone because it has faster storage when you've never used over 100 GB on your previous iPhone.
