Helping your neighbors cut their grass is valuable to them. Those who have to strimm the grass have to spend many hours on what you can do in an hour or so. Thank you for helping.

I continue to be amazed that your little dog hasn't thrown himself under the wheels of one of your vehicles when he get so excited whenever his "daddy" gets behind the wheel and turns the engine on. Pets!
I am scared as well sometimes but I think he knows his possibilities to run quick and Andrius takes extra care when Guffy is running around .... Oh some dogs in the village they run almost under the car when you pass villages ... they not scared of anything ... crazy

Yes they do .. we love happy life so maybe that's why they giving us so many eggs :) from 7 to 9 eggs a day

Thanks for sharing another video. U guys need to be careful with ur water storage because of mosquitoes storage. It is a good idea to have a couple 😅 that like eating mosquito larvae. Algae are always a headache. In water tanks i use uv c lamps to kill algae n stop it growing. Thing is i have to remove the fishes while the lamps are on or they will die. Ur chicken look super happy and healthy. Ur cats look happy and adorable. Looks like ur elderly cat adapted herself to the environment . Guffy looks happy like a toad always. Nice to watch ur videos. It detoxes me of all the news an videos of neqs through the week. Some weeks news videos, almost poison me. Until i watch a video of ur idyllic homestead and lovely animals. Your roses look wonderful !!!

thank you !!! I am not sure .. and few people asked what they are ... need to check with app maybe it will tell :) it says it is a Tea rose also known as miniature rose .. them pink roses are very popular here in central Portugal

For next year, you could try creating no dig Hügelkultur beds in your wet areas, to save getting your tractor stuck and to raise the beds off ground level. Far less work including less weeding.

I've been watching that rose bush for a few weeks now, it is looking very healthy and has stunning blooms. The water from your irrigation tank will be full of nutrients that your garden will love, especially the rose. Wow! You certainly did a great job Andrew of bogging the tractor, I didn't think you'd get it out to easily, well done xx
Thank you :) I put coffee and some chicken poo under that rose and water constantly ... she definitely loved it ;) It took us 20 min to get tractor out ... We tried few things but Andrius didn't though people would be interested to see how we trying to get our Indie out .... ;)

The little doggie gives me anxiety running near the tractor and truck.
To be honest we do try to keep him away but he runs away and just not scared of anything !! Andrius takes care when he drives tractor ... I do hold him on my hands sometimes or we put in the back of the truck ... but he gets angry at us

Tell me please, does your gorgeous rose have a perfume to match its beauty? Do you know the name of the rose, it looks very much like Silver Jubilee. There is something so bewitching about a beauty rose. ❤
Hello :) Actually the smell is disappointing ... they don't smell as good as the look I believe this is tea rose very common here in Portugal .. But they are gorgeous so happy We got them :)
A crazy idea...how about setting up a trout hatchery? If your home is in the north of Portugal, it might just work. :) :)
Regarding the amount of water you have in your garden, to try to minimize water retention in the soil, you could dig a well in the middle of the plot. This way, the water will drain towards the well, and you'll have another good reserve of potable water.
Definitely worth thinking about it xx

Really appreciate your consistent hard and sensible work. Your overhead shots of the quinta as you're weeding, tractoring, running (Guffy) are gorgeous. As are your roses. (Spinning rear tractor wheel deeper into the mud... meh.) Your soil looks so rich. It gets saturated from the long rains, but hopefully the excessive moisture will benefit your crops somehow. Maybe after you finish all your planting and mulch, that'll help retain moisture in the earth thru the blazing hot summer.

definitely !!! it was such a big difference !!! so almost everything will be cover under shade this year as it's impossible to grow anything GOOD under this hot sun as I want as much crops as I can get after we put so much work in to it ... I really hope this year will be even better :)
a little secret here in Portugal,,,, every time we go fishing,, we always have a SECRET supermarket fish stock backup at a friends house refrigerator 🤣 ´´ so that, in case it goes bad we can lie to our wifes and pretend we are great fisherman 🤣🤣🤣 ,,, but be carefull , because some expensive fish, have the origin Tag 🤭

It might be a good idea for the future .. I think we need to clean more often .. and to be honest during summer water gets refreshed every few days as am using it to water garden .. so this was one off
I think you need to speak to your HR department about the bullying🤣 fishing is about being in nature not necessarily catching fish every time🤥😂

The amount of vegtables p;ants you have started you should have plenty to plant and many to sell if you would like to do that by setting up a stand in town. I cant believe you need that many for your own use.
Well.. I got big plans for this year ... canning .. preserving ..sun drying ... and yes we could sell as well together with eggs :)

Why do you keep the fish in the irrigation tank?
Because Andrius though it would be fun to grow fish at home ;) it did survive so we kept it ... and plus they do eat mosquito larva's so we get less mosquitos during summer as that tank is full of water and they like it

Sure .. we will be continuing our barn restauration but now it's most important to plant our garden as we aiming to live self-sufficient life as possible so we spending almost all the time in the garden .. also whilst we can clear our land we will do that as well ..sometimes our priorities changes as we adapting to reality .. yes I would love to build our kitchen but we can't forget other tasks ...
