It’s not that Russia’s song was bad; it’s the fact that they tried to hide her so much that it was upsetting.
i wasn't a huge fan of her song tbh, i love some of her other songs though (belaya liliya, spi)

More or less everything surrounding that entry was... unfavourable honestly. But the song definitely should have stayed in the Semis it was not that good considering it competition that year
Her song the previous year seemed better so I guess she has a lot of Russian fans. And while I feel sorry for her health problems this song isn't good.
The song was never the issue, but they shouldn't have given her a song she absolutely could not sing live, her vocals were really bad. And also, the staging was very low budget, coming from Russia who literally delivered the most epic staging in ESC history back in 2016

The shock non qualifiers that come to my mind are Hear Them Calling and Crisalide (Vola)

Was surprised to see Sekret so high at first, but then I remembered it even trended here in Canada (where not many people really know about ESC) so I can’t imagine how high it must’ve been in actual European countries
Most robbed NQ is Andorra 2007, that was by far the best song and million times better than the winner.

All right, I'll enlighten you: The Russian flag is a typical Slavic tricolor: white - blue - red; the Belarusian flag is green-red-white with an ornament. All the other types of "flags" are inventions of the inflamed imagination of a bunch of people. Please don't skip school lessons next time, you need to be educated, my friend.

In Poland, the case is that a lot of casuals get interested in Eurovision in May, no matter whether we qualify or not people want to see who represented us, what the song was, how they sang... for example Rafał Brzozowski got a lot of attention from the Polish people but it was mostly negative

Why russian colors on the first place are white-blue-white? Julia Samoylova is a regime singer, who performed illegally on the Crimea during occupation. So there should be white-blue-red. You can use white-blue-white when showing Little Big - Uno, they are against Putler's regime.
