I solved the cock robin puzzle without guides but the hospital electronic lock was tough, i spent over 6 hours trying to crack it with my friend and brother before admitting i had been defeated, we really wanted to beat the game on hard puzzle but alas, it wasn't to be, even the book shop felt easier than that stuff.

You can hear Cheryl call "daddy" when you examine a TV in the mall. There is a call back to the videotape of Lisa when transitioning to the otherworld hospital. You get a phone call in the hospital blessing Heather with being 24 and 31. It takes into account her ages as Cheryl and Alessa.
The chills in this game were amazing. Initially checking the Robby outfit on the bench heather says something like “there’s a body in here?!” and knocking on bathroom stall door during the regular world and thinking nothing of the knock back just to check again in the other world and hear the door swing open to find out it was empty, and the mannequin scream in the construction building, and the growling in the train station just to name a few lol
In the ending, after you kill God, Heather looks up in surprise and walks towards the camera. We never find out what she sees. In the original concept, we hear a baby crying. Since we don't see her with it when she goes to Douglas in the next cut, it's left to our imagination what she did with it.

After Heather defeats the God, she walks away only to turn back because of the crying of a baby. It was cut from the final version but you can hear it in the beta/documentary, that's why the soundtrack suddenly stops when she turns around. It was confirmed by Masahiro Ito that the baby is Canon but since the Kcet team was terminated, we may never know what became of it... This only show how complex and well thought this series was in the hands of its original creators.
Great video, but my only major gripe is the continued credit of the Silencer easter egg to Metal Gear. Everyone says it's a MGS reference because of that one guide or whatever, but it's completely wrong, heather literally says what it's a reference to, "The Black Cat". The guy hides a body in the wall and a noisy cat alerts the authorities, "he should've silenced the cat". Get it? People only say it's officially confirmed because it's in Konami approved material, but most of those have been proven time and time again to contain incorrect information. Neither Konami nor Team Silent have never personally made then released guide material and any lore/explanations taken from them should be considered unofficial unless credited to someone on Team Silent staff, preferably the big 3, but maybe not Yamaoka given his track record unless it's about the music.

Just to elaborate on the baby cry, it was suppose to play in the scene after the final boss where Heather turns around and looks at something. It's removal has always driven me nuts. Does removing it mean there isn't a baby there now or what? She clearly has a look on her face like she sees something. (Side note: I'm not sure how true the theory that it was removed because play testers said it was too disturbing is. Heather just regurgitated a bloody fetus and another woman ate it so I find it hard to believe testers found a baby crying "too disturbing" after all that crazy shit happened.) Heather's aversion to mirrors has to do with her existential identity crisis. She isn't necessarily afraid of mirrors, it's her reflection that disturbs her. She is 3 people in one. Alessa, Cheryl and Heather. She doesn't like to look at her reflection because she doesn't feel like it's "her". A point made perfectly clear by the infamous mirror room where her reflection literally turns into someone else.
One of the Easter eggs I found interesting was a random activation of a death screen where heather was dragged off screen by a monster (presumably taken for the sacrifice). Came off as a fate worse than death type of ending.
It's a random death screen and that monster is Valtiel, which is Cheryl's guardian angel and watches over her throughout the entire game. His mission is to keep alive and well the bearer of God (Goddess, since is called Her and not he) and it triggers randomly in some parts of the game if you die. Also is fun to watch how Valtiel looks at the corpse of Cheryl a few seconds with dissapointment, lol.
#9 is NOT a reference to Metal Gear. It’s a reference to Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Black Cat” short story. Heather even talks about it when you check the body.
A thing I discovered that I don't think a lot of people know. The Sewer fairy music that starts at 8:06 is used in Spyro 2 when you go to Autumn Plains. SH3 just used some sparkly sounds to cover it but the ambient music is the same ;]

And to bring this full circle; my sister did some advertisement writing work for PlayStation in the early 2000's, and Silent Hill was one of the game series she wrote magazine ads for.
Pretty sure there isn't any evidence that Douglas was looking for James, given that nothing in SH4 indicated that his father, Frank, ever thought to hire a PI to track down his son, as all he ever mentions is just losing contact with James sometime ago. While it would be interesting to see Douglas trying to find James, it makes just as much sense that he was looking for an unrelated person, as people have been confirmed to get lost in the town throughout the years. Also, I don't recall anything confirming the school from SH1 being physically tied to the church, just that the latter had many callbacks since Heather was finally embracing her real self and her memories as Alessa were influencing the world around her, hence why you come across the classroom at one point, and Alessa's old bedroom prior to the chapel where Claudia and Vincent are.

Probably because the only scary thing about it is the fact that the roller coaster is made of wood and it has 0 mascots. Though being a fan of the series and growing up near the park definitely made me think of it a lot as a kid!
There’s also Heaven’s Night Bar (from SH2) you’ll find in the map when heading to the hospital/amusement park, you’ll find health drink/First Aid kit in the bar. Awesome video, this is the most played Silent Hill👍🏻🙏🏻😊
Love the video, Silent Hill 3 was my introduction into the series and is one of my all time favorite video games, keep up the good work, I really enjoy your channel. You missed a good one that would've been interesting to see, even though I already know about it, you actually included footage of it in the last clip but you can't see it because of the bloody, blurry effect on the glass. Inside that glass enclosure is a rather bizarre scene with a character model that's only used in that one area, I believe it's a cut enemy but I'm not sure. It's, uh, extremely suggestive so I don't blame you if you knew about it but didn't want to include it lol, but in case you didn't, it's Valtiel and a woman with a corpse-like complexion that's wearing very revealing clothes with some kind of black bag over her head and these bizarre growths coming out of her shoulders. She's bound kind of BDSM style with her arms tied behind her back and she's hung from the ceiling with her back to the ground. Valtiel's hovering abover her, holding her legs apart and, well, it kind of looks like he's performing cunnilingus but he's facing the ceiling as well and they're kind of contorting in weird ways. I believe it's a really fucked up nod to Pyramid Head's introduction in SH2 where he does some really weird shit to a couple mannequin monsters, it's a very similar scene, especially considering that Valtiel's character model is essentially just Pyramid Head without the helmet. It was essentially censored because of how ridiculously suggestive it is, hence the blur effect, but they left the scene in the game unchanged and not that many people seem to know about it. The creature is also featured heavily in Akira Yamaoka's Fukuro music video, which is a disturbingly fascinating music video that features Pyramid Head and a bunch of monsters from Silent Hill 2 and 3. It's on CZcams if anyone wants to check it out, major content warning though, it features PH and predominantly female monsters, you can guess how it plays out pretty easily. You can also find footage of the scene in SH3 using a free camera mod on CZcams as well.

Don't know if it's an Easter egg proper, but when Heather winds up at the church the cults creation myth may be read on various paintings on the walls beside the pews. On the soundtrack (which came with the PC version) the track Sun puts all of the verses to music which tells the tale of creation. Cool stuff.
im a big fan of part 2 especially but 1 and 3 to me are the true sequels to this series that tie in well, and this game has some of the coolest collectables ive had the pleasure of messing around with. great times
If you equip the silencer on the submachinegun and then enter the mirror room in the hospital the reflected model will not have a silencer equipped instead the whole front is longer than normal.
still curious how people actually played through that whole game without trauma. even "obscure" was disturbing and only my friend played that while i just watched.

It would be really if Ink Ribbon starts making a serie of "Explaining the game's story". Talking about the whole story of games like Silent Hill o The Evil within.
Silent Hill 3 is definitely underrated. It's as good as Silent Hill 2 in my opinion. The original Silent Hill is also overlooked. SH2 often overshadows the other games which I understand since it is a masterpiece. Also, if any game deserves a remake, it's SH1. Come on Bluepoint, please make it!
I agree-SH2's basic theme has been redone to death. IF this SH Reboot for PS5 is true, they need to create an original story that fits all those classic elements that make Silent Hill memorable. The games after SH4 dropped the ball and the non-Team Silent developers were trying to make it an action-heavy clone of Resident Evil.
the pipe 'fairy' is a reference to the Aesop's fable, The Woodcutter, where he accidentally drops his axe into the lake and is rewarded for his honesty

Kojima: "hold my beer"
Then makes the worse game of all time haha
Great video, don't know if someone said it already, but the pipe thing is something usually done on the .hack games, but with axes
Silent Hill is my favorite game series if all time hands down. I still reference it to this day. Please do a silent hill 4 Easter egg.
You've got a great voice for this, buddy. Keep working on your cadence and delivery, keep striving for better equipment.
Subbed!

@@HakimIshak no i meant creepy
@@majinnemesis, spell it correctly next time.
I remember going to Lakeside a lot as a kid. It's really gone downhill in recent years though, kinda makes the SH one more inviting.
For my favorite game silent hill you got a new subscriber bro

Good to see nobody forgot silent hill
Nice, published on my birthday right on man!
im a big fan of part 2 especially but 1 and 3 to me are the true sequels to this series that tie in well, and this game has some of the coolest collectables ive had the pleasure of messing around with. great times
been waiting for this for a while
Great video, hope you will do SH4 next time :)
My favorite silent hill, excellent video!
If you equip the silencer on the submachinegun and then enter the mirror room in the hospital the reflected model will not have a silencer equipped instead the whole front is longer than normal.
Ink Ribbon: Weird blob thing
Mad Cancer: Am I joke to you?
still curious how people actually played through that whole game without trauma. even "obscure" was disturbing and only my friend played that while i just watched.
You mean Obscure the video game?
Probably because life can be way worse.
SH 3 is probably one of my all time favourite games and my favourite of the original 3, I don't deny 2 was more better in the story department but i just enjoyed 3 more. Oh and for the record, the underwear cheat code does work on Xbox and PC, I think it is slightly different (can't remember) but i know they work, I used to play it a lot on all 3 and had to have this code on, just for some fun.
Keep em coming man
Why is the Autumn Plains Music from Spyro Ripto's Rage playing in the background? 8:06

Love this game one of my favorite childhood games right there
My favorite SH!! Love the background song too
Not everyone knows, but if in the third part in the Park at the end of an additional check pendant Heather, we will hear a secret description, which before in the game is not found anywhere else. About that pendant making Heather sick.
Here is a screenshot, however, in Russian, in English has not yet done: sun9-51.userapi.com/c857532/v857532514/12b4e5/Qxp8Q8LCLvY.jpg.
Great video!
1:23 ahhhhh it wasnt actually official it was only mentioned in one magazine and im pretty sure everywhere else they say its a reference to edgar allan poe
2:22 i always thought it could be cybil?
My favorite game of the series. Also the first one to feature Mary on the soundtracks.
LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! SO INTERESTING!!!!
It would be really if Ink Ribbon starts making a serie of "Explaining the game's story". Talking about the whole story of games like Silent Hill o The Evil within.
Your videos butter my biscuits thank you
Great work
My favorite silent hill and scariest one even the atmosphere alone got me scared
1:00 "No! That is NOT Solid Snake!"
Im Waiting for this..
Thnx 😊
Silent Hills 2 + 3 and Resident Evil 4 are the games I'd want to have with me on a desert island yo
Funny thing about the Lakeside Park in Colorado, it does look like it could be in a silent hill game
My favorite part and the one which really scared me of all silent hill games
