Neon Abyss is always a fun time and I'm looking forward to finishing off the remaining bosses. They hide for now, but my time will come.

This is what i love about DF. No unnecessary all caps in titles, thumbnail is comedic without it being blatant clickbait, deadpan humour, and an indirect way to recommend games for us to play.

Every Neon Abyss:
DF at start: "Im going Athena this time."
DF 3-5minutes in: "Oh hey! an Ares token."
You did everything right, for fighting a cursed boss you need to have their token and build their meter on their level, and then when you access their room on their level having the token you'll instead got to the boss fight with the cursed boss, not sure if the game bugged out or if you need to build the entire meter on the level, but at 15:13 when you teleported to the ares room you should've teleported to cursed ares boss fight
Well he had it mostly full since the level before the ares level
I think going to the Ares level consumed his only Ares token, so he didn't have it when he went into the Ares room there
@@chichi2000fgh i dont think it matters if you have the ares token, if you go to the meter room while in the same boss's level it should take you straight to the boss
Is it possible that his difficulty was too low?
@@jaredfalkinburg9983 it doesn’t say you need to be on a harder difficulty, so I don’t think that’s the issue. No idea what the problem was, though.
By the way, DF, in the pyramid rooms, with the guy who can combine weapons, if you just stand over the weapon and combine it without picking it up first, it'll combine it for free and you still can get the other upgrade choice.

When you do the ares token squared thing, you have to teleport to a seperate room outside it all where cursed ares will be, same with athena.

Hey DF. When you have shields taking damage won't set you back on athenas meter and won't count towards being hit in challennge rooms ( thats why you were getting gold chests from them)
Are you sure? At 12:18, he took damage and a star on the side turned red, and the chest is different

A little Tipp: The greenish blue flying blobs drop worms when you kill them. If you walk over the worm it dies and drops a coin or more.
Dancing Kratos was really smth I didn't know if I needed or didn't want at all in my life
You know you can get coins by stepping on the worms that pop our of enemies.
To fight cursed Zeus you must kill Hal with no token and without a wisdom/violence bar, try to not start a bar during Hal's level and if you did start a wisdom bar to open the shop either get hurt intentionally once in each room with monsters until you lose it completely or fill it up before you enter Hal's arena.
You can go to Ares's/Athena's as much as you like but don't pick up a token or have a bar active during Hal's boss fight.
Df plays games in the dumbest ways and still succeeds.

Can you try playing mindustry? Its a hidden gem game if you like mayhem tbh, which you do. Its a resource management game, mixed with a tower defense game, mixed with a factory game! You'll like it for the most part.

This game has a lot of small dumb things that DF doesn't seem to be aware of (stepping on worms for money, stabbing boxes for money, etc)

I got this game on the Switch thinking it would be amazing but no, the joy stick dosnt work as in full 360* but instead its like 16 snap directional points and the switch version cant handle op build runs
You need to have defeated normal ares and normal athena before getting to fight their cursed forms.
