- Apparently being a glass cannon isn't the strategy for me in this one. I put on all sorts of rare armor and shields, then proceed to give myself as much toughness, block and dodge as I can. By the end I have almost 70% damage reduction plus a lot of block potential. On top of that it pretty hard to hit me at all and the toughness reduces damage further. I May not do a lot of damage but I can survive long enough to do what I need. Dungreed gameplay with my commentary as always!

actually a misconception, though i had the same thought. i heard that the actual purpose of eye patches is to assign one eye per celestial body visible in the sky. by wearing it over one eye all day, when night comes, the sailor just moves the eye patch and does not have to wait for the eyes to adjust to the darkness.

That's the problem of this game. Everybody will take mystic 20 and it's hard to realize other strats are actually better.
I like turtles Unless you have Lara’s magical wand with some buffs on it. I took that thing till the end, although I did trade out mystic on my last run, soooo. Mystic is best until you have what you need and 30 lvls.
I like mistic 20 because I like critic and evasion :^)

DF you don't have to fight those enemies at the end, you just have to avoid damage and keep climbing the tower. After that, once you kill the boss, it kicks you out of the dungeon and unlocks a hidden boss at the end.
I also recommend talking to the priest lady who sometimes 'blesses' you with legendary items. If you select aegis it resets your level, taking away your skill points, but gives you bonus buffs that stack on top. You can aegis multiple times.
So this "aegis" is like some kind of rebirth system?

Yeah that thing is overpowered. I could barely beat the second boss, and then I found that and the tonfa of shock, and increased my crit chance to like 40%. Then I beat the whole rest of the game without even dropping to like half health.
It was like 5 hrs of playtime lol
I had a run where I got up to 60%ish crit with that item. get a fast firing gun like the uzi and its actually pretty hard to die as long as you play it relatively safe. another run I got up to 80% ish crit but sadly never found the blood.
Riotshield + Baton + 60-70% crit chance + healing trinket = undefeatable tank :D i could always hug the enemys even the bosses and beat the game like that the first time :D

That fire wand looked op i wanna try that :D also always do a double take if you see the same item twice, they often come with bonus stats rolled onto them you might like, like an extra +5% crit chance or something.

Rip samurai sword you will be rembered always in our hearts
in the "final" boss, arsha you need to stand in the tower and she is going to make those slashes that leave behind platforms that help you get up and when you are on top you can hit her which makes an early ending and giving you some stuff

AHAHAH one run in this game, I had 285 health and I could tank so well since I had the blood of Srobeo and TAANA the defense helper

remember that you have multiple alter things you can do while your at the town
The enemies at the end keep respawning, the only goal is to stay alive and stay on the platforms and live as the platforms slowly build their way up. I found that being all the way at the top and just jumping around and dashing to be the best bet for staying alive. Also, the Blood of Srobeo item is incredibly helpful to continuously heal off the enemies that keep respawning. Otherwise be tanky and talk to the priest lady to Aegis. It's pretty useful in getting a couple more stat buffs and regaining those levels are pretty quick (Getting to Forest gets roughly 20 levels). Love the content DF!

The secret success is the slingshot combined with the magnifying glass, instant charge on charged items glove, bomb pouch and it Insta clears most rooms. I mean giant bombs that are so big they hit through the floor
Learning the dash mechanic for attacking would help a lot for your damage. I found myself using it as often as normal attacks pretty much.
I don't know of I like the super sarcastic "oops-I-just-killed-a-man" DF or the "honestly I have no idea what I'm doing I'm making shtuff up now because I'm tired" DF more.
Good stuff DF. I picked up this game cause of your vids. I've been messing around with the greed skills for all the extra food buffs you get... pretty fun... though I haven't beat Lasley yet... got him to his last revive... keep an eye out for Lara's Magic Wand, homing and goes through walls... ultimate safe weapon I think you'll like it.
Speaking as someone whose beaten the game several times, got all of the achievements, and has over 100+ hours on Dungreed, I have to say that Blood of Srobeo is, by far, the most powerful item in the game. If you ever get it at the town altar, it's definitely worth putting 20 skill points into Mystic, as it not only lets you keep it for every run, but also increases your crit chance at the same time. I can consistently get to the final area thanks to that item.
@@electricrush2233 Yeah its good for sure. Just in these vids DF seems to like them safe shoot through wall weapons and becoming the magical anime girl is a good way to live that life. I'm still working on my 5 aegis before I worry bout using mystic to lock down an item like the blood since I'd lose it on the reset anyways.
Well unless I hit 20 in that same run... but who wants that kind of pressure ;p. I was using greed to unlock fatso and had BS when I got the furthest then hit 30 that run and reset.

20:25 I think the "shelves" reset if you fall off them, you built up to about 4 levels, but when you went to the portal & back again, it looks like only one level.
It also seams like you HAVE to stand on the highest "shelve" for the next to appear, you can NOT attack from the ground or below.

you have reached the max levek and can now go to the altar person and get the "aegis" which resets your level and gives you very useful boosts that make next runs much easier along with 1 extra skill slot

i saw you play this so bought it, yep... got destroyed constantly. finally got that lvl 20 keep a weapon and a while later got arguably the best weapon in the game- Lara's Magic Wand. does what your boomerang does and shoots through walls but also has a homing shot
The eye patch replaces the eye that makes sense but also katana stabbing bad things like alien fish people and also egg

you actually have to keep climbing the stairs and just ignore the enemies, I was really confused at first but it is actually quite easy, especially with the toughness build xD. and the mage can be killed in one shot after u get to the top
Dash Dmg is really good with a certain legendary weapon
At the end i was also really confused, but you have to climb the things that appear the platforms just keep climbing.

3 of same quality item gives a items of better quality, 2 of high and 1 of low, gives same as high, 1 high 2 low gives either high or low, but never upgrade.

It's been ages since I last played this game and it was updated like crazy, but I remember having a run where I had 100% evasion chance. Actually, I had a few runs like that. With evasion that high, the only things that can damage you are elemental effects like burn or poison, maybe traps such as spikes? Unfortunately I don't know if it's possible to do that anymore, as food buffs were a bit nerfed and I think so were the evasion items..

@@underscoreviolet I had muramasa too in that playthrough and in later stages. Enviroks Epaulet or whatever the fuck is called provides more dps and healing and aoe dmg than the muramasa.
After that boss girl you will have 2 additional bosses. I hope you won't miss them

You can use a Macro/Auto Clicker with the Ormugand to make the most insane laggy deadly thing known to man kind, it makes your katana with the samurais soul seem slow. The Ormugand has no limit to fire rate except the users click speed
