When Your Lasers Fill The Entire Room in Neon Abyss

- It sure makes all the rooms easier when they're completely full of high powered lasers. I don't actually have to aim this way, I just fire and everything in the room is quickly defeated. Plus I can fly, how much easier could it get? Well it turns out it's very hard to see through all these lasers which is fairly counterproductive. I still regret nothing, this is a fun lazy build. Not so great for bosses though, but still serviceable. Neon Abyss gameplay with my commentary as always!

Sadly at this point in the game there is no way to get rid of Jack or any other pet. People actually recommend just not picking up eggs because of how annoying most of them are. Hopefully the devs fix this and let us disable some of our pets.

Or just make something to sacrifice followers for a reward like you can do in Isaac with the sacrificial altar
Maybe every new room you explore you get to take one heart off of the pet
They're testing a thing in the experimental branch that lets you ban a certain number of pets, weapons, & items from spawning. I think it's 5 at the moment before it locks achievements.
The separate egg for Jack/Peter/Grabber/Dr. Blue has been removed & they've been put back into regular rotation, though their responses have been slowed.
This is all only in the experimental branch for now but given how popular it is it'll probably go live .

I mean he is learning things about the game as he plays, just not very quickly. I don't watch this guy because he knows the ins and outs of every game he plays right at the outset. If this is anything like the other games he plays he will get better at them.

Just a few little things to take note of when going for Wisdom and Violence. When you're gathering Wisdom and shoot one of the purple doors/chests/crystals, not only does it convert it to the Violence version but it also converts any Wisdom progress you got to Violence. Also if a floating crystal is in a room which will spawn enemies then they can also convert them into the Violence versions just by shooting it (when this happens you don't lose any of the Wisdom you've collected).

This man had lullaby, the gum that lets you steal items from Wisdom and Rage, and he walks into the Rage room and leaves, thereby giving up access to ALL 3 of the ridiculous powerups. For shame.

Just a tip: The blue bar is from using crystals which you get a choice of 2 items with no sacrifice but the red bar you get from damaging the things you use crystals on which you get a choice of 3 items but for the price of a heart container
This is literally The Binding of Isaac's mechanics and Terraria's visuals and effects kinda. Love it.

I was just playing this and got the same fun he did. I had the popcorn bag and the flower pot to start and I got the gun from the altar room when I sacrificed a heart.

I had a good first impression of this game, I got the wings and a weapon that makes a cross out of beams, those beams also scale with mele damage, I got a bunch of upgrades with number of bullets and damage as well as mele damage, I was melting every boss and beat the first “final” boss
When using a controller on the piano mini game, if you hold down after you jump them you will land without bouncing... easy way to ensure you always pass it.
This game has some issues but goddamnit at the end of the day this game is just fun.. it just feels FUN. Love it
Buying things with crystals (like doors, chests, and the floating crystals) adds to your athena path, the purple bar. Buying things with your hearts like walking into red door, chest, or floating crystals will add to your area path, the red bar. Athenas path gives you more defensive items for free while the ares path give you more offensive items but you have to sacrifice a heart container. Hope that helps!

Little tip: the blue enemys drop a little caterpillar and if you step on the the caterpillar there is a big chance they'll drop coins (it only works if you *step* on them, shooting/melee does not work)
In the Freddy fight when he sits in the corner and throws balls you can sit directly under him and he can't hit you (it might have been fixed but I'm pretty sure it still works)
I also have the same problem with a good run, eventually you can't see any enemy projectiles because your shots or lazers are so big
