    Once a workaholic friend of mine told me: "I'm just letting off steam" so I asked him: "Isn't it better to just put out the fire that builds up the stress in you?".
    Childhood traumas make us a pressure cooker and produce the fire.
    Addiction, any addiction is a tool to release pressure, momentary relief.
    If we don't find the "fire" source in our soul and put it out, we will never leave the addiction zone throughout our lives, but only replace one addiction with another.
    How do you know if a person has dealt with his childhood traumas? Those who do, are relaxed, peaceful and everything is done in moderation. Those who don't, usually run to death and everything is done to extremes.

    Thank you a lot for the video. Recently, i started to watch porn at every week and although, i am not obsessed with stopping on watching porn, but I need your advice on something related to it.
    I usually watch porn at night and its out of curiosity, and since you said its better to focus more on doing positive and enriching activities, do you have any advice on healthy hobbies or activities I can do at night without the need to use devices?

    you have to confess it to your parents and number of people bring it into light

      @@6starluke Addiction is like a fungus of the soul - it thrives in darkness and is killed when brought into the light. BUT talking about it with people who don’t understand addiction let alone pornography addiction can be more harmful than helpful sometimes, and talking about our problem isn’t a comprehensive program of healing and recovery - just a part of it.
      If you’re 18 or under and you have a good (or non-abusive) relationship with your parents, I would 100% talk to them about it. If you’re 18 or over, the best thing to do is seek out a 12-step recovery program like SAA and/or start working with a coach inside a community based mentorship program.

    Tysm do you have any tips about withdrawal symptoms mine is so bad I can’t connect or have a real conversation w anyone it’s really tiring

      @@Saja299 Withdrawal can cause a wide range of symptoms - I’ll make a video about this soon. Most people experience a drastic improvement in their mood and ability to socialize within the first 2-4 weeks.
      If you are experiencing severe social anxiety, depression, or chronic fatigue beyond 2-4 weeks from watching porn, those are more likely some of the root problems you are using porn to medicate, not withdrawal symptoms.

      @@recoverwithnate so it’s not withdrawal that’s just me😰

    • @recoverwithnate
      @recoverwithnate  Před měsícem +1

      @@Saja299 It’s possible to go through flatlines periods starting 2-3 weeks after which can results in low grade depression and loss of libido for a few weeks, but if you’re getting around people and feel like your fight or flight response is activating and you’re feeling really anxious, that’s probably not a withdrawal symptom.
      Long term porn use can cause social anxiety, shame, and a loss of self esteem - the point of me saying what I said above is to indicate that these things need to be addressed head on as part of your recovery journey. Trauma healing exercises, loving kindness meditations, social anxiety exposure therapy plans, etc. Sounds like a lot, but you could see a MASSIVE improvement in these symptoms in 1-3 months.
      If you’re still struggling with porn, hop on my free Skool community and get started in the course there. If you’re still struggling after going through that, shoot me a message inside Skool and I’ll point you in the right direction
