When a SAS soldier got separated from the rest of his troop in the Iraqi desert, he had no choice but to go into full on survival mode. There was a water fountain in a park in Lombard, Illinois not too far from a shady “unsanitary” landfill for inorganic waste that was shut down and turned into a grungy water park off of Rt. 83 that was rumored to be contaminated (and was closed).
The water from that fountain tasted spicy, bitter, metallic, and frankly, like poison. That fountain has since been removed. The truth will die with it.
