I use the folder tab and would love to have the ability to rename the plugins. Obviously, that may take a bit of programming, but it would be nice to see it in a future update. Thx.

Can you please tell them to add an name change for plugins, and the ability to put one plugin in two different folders in the next update?

Studio one needs a favourite folder for your audio wavs. Reason had this years ago. Should be a standard on all DAW's

Please look at Logic’s way of organizing plugins. In their plug-in manager you can move plugins around and give them alternate names, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the folders have redundancy. You can put a particular plug-in in as many folders as you want

This is cool until Studio One crashes, and all the folders you create are gone! Not even close to as good as the Steinberg's Cubase/Nuendo Plugin manager.

Once again, Joe you're a hero! I received free plug-ins from a company that shall go unnamed. Along with my freebies I received a bunch of their for sale plug-ins that I don't use. Always thought it was annoying as I'm not ready to delete them, but didn't know there was a way to hide them. Thank you!

hey Joe,i go even one step further,i make some extra folders, like, for your Avox plugins i would make a folder called "Vocal",because Avox is a plugin for vocals, and for an effect such as VT1,i'll put it in a folder named "multi-effect" as it has multiple effects,i also make specific folders for instruments like, shall we say "arturia" otherwise studio one will put pigments into the synths folder,i also devide romplers and samplers
this way i can find everything very fast, cheers

@presonus Audio Electronics also use this folder structure since a long time but the downside is u can only pick a vst in 1 folder - sometimes i wanted to have same vst in 2 different folders (e.g: 1176 in Folder Comps (FET) but also in folder Mixdown Fav or whatever) - u get the idea - any way to realize this? - in CB for example I can do it from the plugin Manager once I add it twice in different folders. Joe please show me a workaround or gimme a perspective dude :) (this is a copy question from the Short Video from gregor where i asked same btw)

A little note. If you like seeing the thumbnail the plugin doesn't need to come with the image, you can create that image. Just open the Plug-in and on the top tab list where it says the name of the plugin click the triangle going down and on the bottom there's a "Update Plug-In Thumbnail" option, press it and you're good to go

Thanks Joe, good stuff as always. It would be great if we could mark Instrument Plugin Presets as Favorites. Sure, we can for example mark Presence as a Favorite "instrument", but I still need to scroll through hundreds of presets to find the one actual instrument I want. As a user of S1 for many years, I'm constantly surprised that PreSonus has not added this feature to their workflow. I understand that the issue is likely related to how PreSonus .Soundsets are packaged and compressed as read only, and I know we can save presets into a custom sub-folder, but it seems dev could do a pretty simple solution that would let us quickly mark an instrument preset as a Favorite like we do with Effects and take care of any workarounds behind the scenes. Regardless, thanks for all the great content!

I use custom keyboard shortcuts mapped to custom macros that I use for all sorts of things, including inserting new tracks with specific virtual instruments on them, effect plugins, effect chains, etc. I have a second Mac keyboard and I label its keys with Sharpie pens.

Best way I decided to set it up was using the folder tab, then I custom create all the folders into vendors, then each vendor folder I have more folders filtering the plugins into the type of plugin it is. works great.

I put quite some work into sorting my plugins. Then a few months later everything was gone. Including the recent song list at start up. Now this has happened 3-4 times to me. I can't figure out why. A side effect of updating Studio One? After crashes? I don't know. There are some files somewhere with the lost data, but I have not managed to successfully revive my settings. Is there a way to backup and restore all settings, including recent songs list and custom plugin lists?
