He said what needed to be said, the interruption provided the means for Castle to leave Beckett to ponder over whatever he just said and her actions and words from when she decided to leave him and try to hunt down Lok Sat. No interruptions would've meant she would try to justify her actions, and argue about how Castle was wrong.

Rick did something similar in S4, & she was just as devastated by his disappearance. Kate forgave him both times, even when it looked like he had chosen to stay with his captors, & she didn't know what he had done...She put faith in him, even married him. I think it was only fair Rick forgave her.

I think this situation will help her to realize this, but this need of hers is part of her character, which is the point he is making. It wasn't about forgiveness, we all knew it would happen. Castle can't stay mad at her for very long, and vice versa, but the larger issue of who she continues to manifest itself. Castle and Beckett are fine, and will be, but I really enjoyed this scene because it helps her to hopefully become self-aware.

My point was merely that they've both made similar decisions, & she has opted to forgive for him. He's really not all that different from her; he's "broken" to an extent as well from his issues, needs to know the whole story, & is willing to cross lines if need be (i.e. hacking her phone). I imagine if we get the chance to explore his mythology again, we will see his obsessive tendencies & "need to know" eclipse his better judgment sometimes as well.

this whole thing never made any sense to me. I know that the writers and producers wanted to bring back the fire and romance they had before they got married, but her breaking up with him to keep him safe and keep investigating was IMO so stupid. How does pretending they are not together anymore keep him safe or stop him from loving her. If anything, he's less safe because she's not with him most of the time. Did she really think that if the bad guys knew they weren't together anymore and that she didn't love him that they wouldn't go after him for leverage against her. Castle was so right!!
Sorry for 6 years late but it's one of many reasons why the rating drop like a waterfall and got cancelled, I'm new in this series and even I can't get past the 2 eps of S8 without scratching and banging my head on how stupid it was for a plot story wise seriously.

It's not that Beckett didn't think of what Castle suggested. She clearly thought of it, yet went ahead and dropped him like a hot potato, inspite of the fact that she knew he would catch on. Nobody likes being lied to, especially by your wife, who is doing something that you could help her wholeheartedly with, and still maintain the relationship with everyone. It's something Beckett sorely lacked, and Castle was the one to get it into her head.

If he told her sooner about LockSatt than she probably would taken down LockSatt with Castle. Stop blaming Kate its mainly Castles fault, but he was only protecting her. If Castle never went to that airport Kates team members wouldn't have gotten killed. Castle set off that chain of events which is why they erased his memory when he was taken!

You could have come to me, with everything, broken us up just like you did only it would have been a cover and together in secret we could've taken this guy down. Only that thought never even occurred to you because deep down inside, you like being broken and you need this obsession. And no matter what I do, I can't change that. Only you can Kate."_ This monologue hit the nail on the head! She both deserved and needed to hear that not to mention the divorce scare he gave her in the previous episode. Her decision to "jump down the LokSat rabbit hole" to use Rita's witty analogy was selfish, inconsiderate and defied her marriage vows. That she separated from him to protect him is bullshit. Rita made it crystal clear to her that she could have walked away, that the mass murder of her ex-FBI-team provided LokSat with a false sense of security that averted his attention from her. Beckett _chose_ LokSat over her husband, the man she claims she can't live without and based on her character no doubt would have taken it to her grave had she not been caught. After 7-years of experience with Castle's intuition not to mention the resources he acquired with his P.I business, she was brain dead to have apparently not expected him to catch her. The most unsettlingly wrong aspect of the whole thing, however, was that the phony separation scheme didn't even occur to her. To a truly devoted wife, it would have. This wasn't Pelant's sabotage of Booth and Brennan's engagement in _Bones_ in which case lives were directly threatened if Booth didn't both break it off AND withhold the real reason from Brennan (and what I mean by 'directly' threatened is that Pelant had outright said, though this is paraphrasing "I will kill 5 random innocent people and you won't know who or when"). If she insisted on the separation being real she owed him the real reason why. Healthy marriages are built on mutual honesty and trust. To be fair, however, Castle was slightly out of line in his own right to regard her as though he'd expected better from her when this _is_ classic Beckett and by this point, he should know that. Both ends caused me to question their compatibility as a couple and if Beckett had really known what she was doing when she married at all whether it had been Castle, Josh, Demming or Esposito. This isn't the first time I've questioned their relationship. I did it after Thailand/Koreatown as well. Caskett my ass. Considering that this was the icing on her bullshit cake, I just don't feel it.
As much as I love their relationship this is the only thing that doesn't make sense, if Kate really loves Castle and can't live without him why does she always choose her job over Castle?

I make sense with she came back and why she love him in 4x22 he made her walls come down. In 4x23 she almost die and all she thought about was castle and what they could have had. In 6x02 she save him from a deadly tocsin. In 6x22 he help's her. 6x23 he help's her to get a divorce so she can get married again for real... In 8x07 I would not blame him for getting a divorce, I would hate it but would not blame him. And she would die if he die not lost die because in 7x01 he get lost and she didn't die.And plus she's a one and done type of she girl. And she needs him.

it is about time the writers gave Castle back his balls. I have hated seeing how she treats him. I am only a little disappointed that he gave in so easily at the end of the episode. That being said, I would only rewatch this and the last two mins of that episode. When will they stop making Castle such an idiot. He was fun but smart at the beginning of the show's run. Laterly he is so childlike and fumbling it is hard to watch.

I'm glad for this scene, but I disagree with Castle choice of word: broken. Kate isn't broken, just misguided. Digging into LocSat should have been left to somebody else, and she should have just worried about the station house and Castle. I understand her wanting to take down the guy in the C.I.A., but she definitely went about it the wrong way. Even if the LocSat bought that Kate and Rick had broken up, hypothetically, what would have stopped them from going after Castle again? I just don't buy that; Kate wants to keep Rick safe because she wouldn't be able to function as a human being again, but she down plays her existence and how it would affect Rick if she died. I guess some habits die hard, but I'm glad she fessed up to being caught in a lie, even if she meant well.

This wasn't Pelant's sabotage of Booth and Brennan's engagement in _Bones_ in which case lives were directly threatened if Booth didn't both break it off AND withhold the real reason from Brennan (and what I mean by 'directly' threatened is that Pelant had outright said, though this is paraphrasing "I will kill 5 random innocent people and you won't know who or when").
If she insisted on the separation being real she owed him the real reason why. Healthy marriages are built on mutual honesty and trust.
To be fair, however, Castle was slightly out of line in his own right to regard her as though he'd expected better from her when this _is_ classic Beckett and by this point, he should know that.
Both ends caused me to question their compatibility as a couple and if Beckett had really known what she was doing when she married at all whether it had been Castle, Josh, Demming or Esposito.
This isn't the first time I've questioned their relationship. I did it after Thailand/Koreatown as well. Caskett my ass. Considering that this was the icing on her bullshit cake, I just don't feel it.

In a nutshell the writer regress her back to pre S4 or worse for a sake of drama hell it's on their story plan to "spice up" because of wht ? they didn't know a good husband wife story route ?

I agree with some parts with what you guys are saying. Beckett needs to realize that what she is doing effects other people but Castle needs to realize that this has always been Beckett, she won't quit until it is solved. she is determined, stubborn, heartwarming, and loving person and that is the person he fell in love with. yes Kate went behind is back but she did it to protect his life. that is who she is the protector. I beileve what he said is true, but he needs to remember who she is and that he signed up for this when he married her.

I make sense with she came back and why she love him in 4x22 he made her walls come down. In 4x23 she almost die and all she thought about was castle and what they could have had. In 6x02 she save him from a deadly tocsin. In 6x22 he help's her. 6x23 he help's her to get a divorce so she can get married again for real... In 8x07 I would not blame him for getting a divorce, I would hate it but would not blame him. And she would die if he die not lost die because in 7x01 he get lost and she didn't die.And plus she's a one and done type of she girl. And she needs him.
They should have just ended the series in S7

it is about time the writers gave Castle back his balls. I have hated seeing how she treats him. I am only a little disappointed that he gave in so easily at the end of the episode. That being said, I would only rewatch this and the last two mins of that episode. When will they stop making Castle such an idiot. He was fun but smart at the beginning of the show's run. Laterly he is so childlike and fumbling it is hard to watch.

Glad someone finally said it, Castle is the one who caused all of it and sorry but didn't he choose to go on that African whatever the hell it was mission on their wedding day for god sake, the truth is that Castle puts his nose where it doesn't belong and bad shit happens because of it and 9x out of 10 Kate ends up on the receiving end of all of it..like with Montgomery dying and her getting shot none of that would have happened even if Raglan had of shown up to clear his conscience because she wouldn't have known the stabbing was a hit because Castle wouldn't have decided to put his nose in her Mom's case! I mean she warned him multiple times not to go near it and he did anyway! That AU world he ended up in was proof enough of that!

I'm glad for this scene, but I disagree with Castle choice of word: broken. Kate isn't broken, just misguided. Digging into LocSat should have been left to somebody else, and she should have just worried about the station house and Castle. I understand her wanting to take down the guy in the C.I.A., but she definitely went about it the wrong way. Even if the LocSat bought that Kate and Rick had broken up, hypothetically, what would have stopped them from going after Castle again? I just don't buy that; Kate wants to keep Rick safe because she wouldn't be able to function as a human being again, but she down plays her existence and how it would affect Rick if she died. I guess some habits die hard, but I'm glad she fessed up to being caught in a lie, even if she meant well.
