Street Fighter 2 Turbo (SNES) music glitch

My cousin was playing through SF2 Turbo for SNES and in addition to a few sound glitches (static/noise), we encountered this crazy glitch with the music where the instruments were incorrect and the note lengths seemed to be glitchy as well. Never seen this before even tho I've played SF2 for SNES since it came out! Guess my cartridge is glitchy or something (bought it secondhand a while ago).

I don't think it's your cart. I had something similar happening to me on my cart back when the game came out. I remember it happening for a minute or so and then the game just crashed and froze at the end of a round.

Check your console’s capacitors, maybe one of them is dead
