All his content is gay bc he is gay, and we love it.
Yes. Let’s not talk about the existence of Straight Mac 😅
dan and phil's coming out videos were so iconic because dan literally spent an entire year making this beautiful video that's 45 minutes long talking about his struggles with his sexuality and then phil just opens a closet door and says "i'm gay". the duality of man
and now they have their dream house together they deserve everything in the world holy shit
A girl literally walked into my school with a lesbian flag yelling “Happy pride month to all bisexuals!”

Phil Lester's coming out video was probably the shortest and most casual of all of the ones i've watched but it was so impactful for me not just cause he's my comfort youtuber but also cause it's one of the only coming out vids that didn't detail the trauma they went through. as much as those videos are important, they just reminded me of how horrible people can be and it was so comforting just watching a reassuring video like his
I feel like Dan and Phil’s coming out videos are a great example of both ways of doing one. Dan’s was longer and serious, and like you said, Phil’s was short and casual. Theirs were both great
Sadly most lgbt people go through trauma.. it’s just a kind of normal part of the lgbt+ experience unfortunately.. as hard as it is to see those people talk about it, that’s just how it is and hopefully them sharing it will help improve how lgbt+ people are treated in the future
I love how he's continued from his coming out video, with more content that embraces his sexuality and his experiences as a Gay man. It's honestly so wonderful and refreshing

The protect the children “argument” is so stupid and ridiculous. What if the children that they are trying to “protect” come out as trans. They wouldn’t still be protecting the children.
Like those parents can't even protect their children from attempting suicide or not getting fucking shot in school, what qualifications do they have the audacity to steal from good straight allies to state that about their kids?
They don't realize that the time they get older and learn about the LGBTQ+ community they won't be able to protect them, I mean I think they should protect them if it's a potential threat like being s/a by a grown man sitting from his computer eating nachos and mountain dew who has no wife and looks at children now
Its just another way of gatekeeping tbh.
People are born this way therefore the “kids” were already members of the lgbtq+ community. Those kids don’t need “protection” they need representation so maybe their childhood wouldn’t be so confusing
Literally. 🥲 -trans kid
The children don't give a fuck lmao

Kinda feel bad that their fans shipped them and all the other super creepy and weird stuff they did, probably what made their coming outs take awhile..
But then the fandom ruined it to where they couldn't go back online. So disappointed.

Just a reminder for everyone on the comments that you don't HAVE to come out. We say a lot the "don't comeout until you're safe" and that's true but you don't even have to if you don't want to, you're not lying to people simply for not sharing every piece of imformation of your life, and if someone gets mad for you not telling them, they're acting entitled for something they're NOT entitlet to. Stay safe and happy folks
Thanks for that .... I always feel like I have to tell guys I date or am semi casual with that I'm trans masc ..... Even though I still look feminine rn and it makes me feel like I'm lying to them but also I don't want anyone to freak out on me about it either ..... But honestly they really just fetishize me So I mostly keep it to myself but I don't wanna just go around telling everyone anymore because the world still isn't excepting (my family definitely doesn't know)

Miles McKenna was someone whose coming out video as non binary was hella impactful for me (even though he now identifies as a trans man). I watched him before his transition when I was a baby lesbian but my understanding of the trans experience was so limited before that video and his ones after it. Still watch Miles regularly and am forever proud of him for sharing his journey :)
hard same! as a trans & nonbinary lesbian, miles (pre- & post- transition) has been such a big inspiration to me all throughout my own process of gender/sexuality exploration. he's been so brave to share his whole journey and he's taught me better than anyone else the joys of celebrating your identity with pride
I caught Miles I think at the early stages of his transition (I think the dick candy video was the first video I watched). Didn't know for a while that he was trans, but I'm so glad I really got into his content cuz he's a gorgeous king and has opened my eyes to some of the trans struggles. He's awesome

Nikkie's coming out video was definitely the most shocking to me partially because when I saw the video pop up I assumed she was going to say she was bisexual so my belief that I knew what to expect made me a bit more surprised when she revealed that she's trans. What was the most shocking was definitely that someone would be so cruel as to blackmail her over it. It reminds me of how lil nas x felt pressured to come out as gay because people found his old Barb account from high school that he used to be his true self. Like, yay, so glad you're out and that there are people who love you but no one should be pressured like that.

The whole "protect the children" argument always irked me bc theyre trying to "protect" those kids from all the things THEY caused and hurt US with. They always say they dont want to confuse their kids. I spent the first 15 years if my life confused, bc i thought I was SUPPOSE to like only boys, and when I realized I liked girls more than my friends seemed to, I was so lost. I thought I was broken. And since it wasn't normalized, when I finally learned about the LGBT community realized I was pansexual, I overcompensated for all the years i "missed out on" by jumping into a relationship with a girl the moment they gave me the bare minimum of attention, which directly lead to my toxic relationships, sexual assaults and experiences with being groomed as a child. My point is, confusion is normal. It's a part of growing up. But when that confusion isn't welcomed and normalized, it can really hurt people.
And then they often say "we dont want kids making permanent life altering decisions!" and honestly, I understand that. But if this is your mentality, PLEASE do research. In order to even be put on hormone pills, you have to meet with both a doctor and a gender specialist psychologist, with parental consent, and must have an EXTENSIVE history of gender dysphoria just to be approved. And the surgery isnt even legal to get until the age of 16, and even then you still need the history, a UNANIMOUS approval from the parents, doctor, gender specialist AND now a plastic surgeon, and on top of that, this surgery, because it's so invasive and complicated, it's often only approved that young if it's proven that the person will be completely unable to function without it, or if they pose a threat to themselves due to the severity of their gender dysphoria. These life altering decisions aren't just handed out to anyone, it often takes YEARS to get approved.
Not enough likes on this hun🙏🏻 the stigma is terrible and it needs more attention!
Also!! Letting natural puberty run its course IS!!! A LIFE ALTERING DECISION!!!! You can often avoid many later medical procedures by nipping that shit in the bud and not letting it happen in the first place!
You should let kids now that is right to like not only the opposite gender, that should be normal lol
Exactly somehow they are the problem but pushes it onto us, looks baby clothes that says "imma ladies man"🤨🤨
@@AwsomenessRain I mean it might cause problems or a reason why they do it after a certain age. It probably would affect the body, I’m sure it’s just for scientific reasons on why you shouldn’t do it so early

I had no idea that Nikki tutorials was blackmailed into coming out... that’s so screwed up. Forcing someone to come out when you don’t know enough about their home life can even be really dangerous at times, especially when that person is trans or gay. Regardless of home life, it’s something you should definitely do when you feel ready and if you feel you won’t be in danger when doing so.
I think the person who blackmailed her knew her from school or something and was saying "you're lying to everyone" kind of crap. Luckily Nikki has plenty of support from her mom and fiance. But it's still messed up that they forced her to come out before she was ready. Coming out should always be on the person's own terms whenever they're ready.

i was honestly the most surprised at dan and phil coming out. they had to deal with a lot of creepiness from people who fetishized them and so they dont really share a lot about their personal lives (understandably), so i remember a lot of ppl in the phandom thought that, even though dan and phil made it clear over the years that they weren't straight, they would never come out "officially" due to the creepiness they would have to deal with. so when they actually made coming out videos and confirmed they were gay it was really a shock to me as someone who has been watching their videos and been a part of the phandom for many years.
I definitely feel the same way. Even though when I was younger I did ship phan, I knew that it was their lives and no one else had a right to knowing their relationship or not. So many people got way too comfortable with them and wanting to know all about them, and I feel so bad for everything they had to go through. This is why you should never ship real people, it’s just fucking creepy and can genuinely affect them
@@jessicafelice6767 the thing that annoys me the most rn is that i saw someone say they will never confirm or deny their relationship bc it’s what keeps people interested and gets views? like no? i love dan and phil separately and together and whether they confirmed it fully or not, i’d still watch them both. they just wanna keep it for themselves i really don’t think they care about exploiting themselves for views.
(about them confirming it, technically dan did in his coming out video and the fact that he called their house their forever home but phil even now says he won’t talk about his personal life so i still hate to say things if they don’t want people to talk about it) anyway point is we love them for people and not who they date
I’m scared of the way you said fandom is that how you rlly say it idk I’m just a dumb bitch
@@FloorstheLimit lmaooo im p sure thats the name for phil+dan+fandom combined. danny phandom
I think Thomas Sanders’ coming out video didn’t necessarily shock me but it had the biggest impact on me. i grew up with his vines and videos and it helped me to later come out at queer and non binary. i got to hear from him and his friends about their experiences and it helped me with things like internalized homophobia which was a bitch to battle.
Same here. In fact Thomas Sanders is actually the person who introduced me to non-binary people in the first place. I think he’s had the biggest impact on me when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, helping me come to terms with being gay myself, which is lovely since I’ve been a fan of his since vine, when I was eleven years old (I’m 17 now).
it’s genuinely one of my favorite videos
fun fact! that video educated me on the LGBTQ things i wish i was taught earlier, which made 12-year-old brat me rethink my homophobia
Ngl I was homophobic until Scott came out and then I was like “so wait. I think Scott is cool, and he’s gay, so there for gay is cool”
How could I forget Joey's music video was his coming out 🤡 I was just streaming the song as a _BOP_ . happy pride month y'all
can we all agree mac is the gay icon we all didn’t know we needed
idk this is my introductory video to this channel and the intro has me scared. help?
@@dragonlordsaviour7005 you'll be fine. It takes you a couple video to get use to it but after that it's great. Good luck and welcome
As a trans boy, everyone tells me I'm "too young" to know. Understandable, I'm far too young to drive right now, but 100% percent never too young to decide who I am. I've seen multiple stories about transgender people seeing signs at age FOUR! NEVER TOO YOUNG!!
yeah. i told my mom i was a guy when I was THREE and a guy i still am
cis people never doubt when cis kids say they’re the gender they’re assigned at birth, the hypocrisy is clear as day. I just wanted to say as a fellow trans guy, hope you have a happy pride! 🏳️⚧️
yes! you are never too young to find out who you are! i wish i was able to explore more when i was younger since im 19 and confused as heck so im really proud of you:)))
@@AwsomenessRain Happy pride to you too!🏳️🌈
Yeah, I babysit the sweetest little girl, she is 6 now and she came out as trans at 3 years old. Luckily her whole family and community have been super supportive, and she is really secure and happy in her identity.
This is by far my favorite episode. I fucking died when you mentioned the nutella cause I was literally biting into my own nutella toast lmfao. HAPPY PRIDE MAC!
I de transitioned from Trans male to non-binary and I remember a conversation with my dad about how trans women pray on children in the bathrooms and all that “ good stuff” and I was just sitting there as my gay trans self thinking “ well we’re not telling him I’m trans todayyyyy :)”
Mac narrating Eugene's video was so funny for no reason 😭😭
@ try guys invite him to try something
I'm also happy to see more conversations about bi people, cause we do exist and we are not half gay lmaoo Anyway, happy pride month everyone! 🥰💕
THIS. It's honestly hard being bi because people don't take it seriously. If I'm in a relationship with a man, that doesn't make me straight, and if I'm in a relationship with a woman, that doesn't make me a lesbian. But somehow people just... don't understand that????
Thank you. I feel this. I feel like I am not valid when the bisexual community is underrepresented or completely brushed over.. Happy Pride month 🏳️🌈❤
I found out from my teenage daughters (both LGBTQ) that I'm still bi even though I've been with my husband for 23yrs & that made me really happy.
@@Akeyins girl I understand. When I say bi people think I have penis. So I stopped saying I'm bi

My bestie came out as bisexual almost a year ago and i was so proud of her!(still am)
"we have to save the children from the trans"
no, we need to save the trans from your kids a lot of the time. we're scared to walk outside a lot of the time because we're scared about getting hate crimed if someone finds out that we're trans. we avoid the bathroom that we want to use because we're scared about getting hurt physically or sexually assaulted because of it.
and trans women especially need to be helped. you all get treated so badly and you deserve so much better. you are such beautiful women and i hope you all know just how gorgeous and important you are.
and to any transgender/nonbinary/gender nonconforming person that has been assaulted because you are such: i hope that you're doin better and i wish this wasnt the world we lived in. you all are so beautiful and i hope that you understand it wasn't your fault that someone else wouldnt take the time to understand you.
we all deserve to be heard. all of the lgbtqia+ have been forced into fear for way too long.
you matter and you deserve to live your life as who you are. and to anyone who hasnt come out yet: you'll get there. it might not be safe for you, it could've been something you recently found out, or if you just dont want to rn, youll get there. the path seems so scary and hard, but it'll be worth it on the other side. sadly, you will have to fight for a lot of acceptance, but you're all going to get there one day. and it'll be one of the best feelings when you find a safe place and safe people to be yourself around.
this legit made my eyes water, damn we need more people like you in this world
@@okamitaXwolfymetal aww, ty ❤ my goal in life is to help as many people as i possibly can
I appreciate your comment and agree with everything you said. When I was in high school, I saw a trans girl in the girls’ bathroom sometimes. I was confused at the time because I was not really aware of trans people, but have been educating myself especially in the last couple of years. Thinking back, it makes me happy that the girl was living her truth. I myself discovered last year that I am a lesbian.
@@ima.m.1658 ahh so happy for you!! n it makes me rlly happy to hear that you took time to learn abt trans ppl, a lot of ppl just brush past it or would harrass her abt it but ty for educating yourself on it ❤❤
also, remember that if you find out that you arent a lesbian or you feel that the label doesnt fit you its completely valid to change :) sexuality can be v v fluid and changes a lot sometimes :)
@@pinklemonade3261 Yeah, I try to stay open minded and keep working on myself and growing. Part of that is my sexuality (and gender identity), I feel comfortable with this label now but I agree, that could change and be different than what I thought. It’s still quite new and I’m open to whatever the possibility is, I’m just going with what feels honest. I’m also someone who is comfortable with labels and I know that’s not true for everyone! Labels are not necessary :)

Happy pride, Mac! You and so many other creators have helped me IMMENSELY when it comes to identity and just being able to laugh whenever I felt like I couldn’t. So this is a formal thank you :)
I don't think I've ever been shocked by anyone coming out as gay, but I'm always shocked by anyone coming out as bisexual. It's so rare yet so beautiful.
👁👄👁
I’ve rarely met someone who thinks that. People think I’m a closeted lesbian or just wanting to experiment. They rarely can wrap their heads around bisexuality to understand it/me.

“I’m giving you a month full of gay content!”
So, your normal content?
My favorite was PhilosophyTube's coming out as trans video. She asked her friend to play her old "Oliver" self who told the story of discovery, hardship, and the part philosophy played in her transition. Really cool, food for thought, do recommend.
"Do you all know what it's like to be the only gay person in school?" ...me with my school that somehow turned out to be like 1/3 gay so now I no longer have any straight friends lol
When Mac started talking about trans rights, my trans heart began melting. Thank you
Okay, now that Mac has pointed out that Eugene's orange outfit makes him look like Naruto, I can't unsee it
I was surprised by Tre Melvin coming out. He is someone that my friends and I used to obsess over in middle school. We always made sure to watch his newest videos together and learned to recite 'Ghetto Christmas Carols' by heart. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain and apologize for falsely coming out as bisexual, rather than gay, at first because he is aware of the history of bisexuals being invalidated. To see how far he's come and how confident and unapologetic he is living in his own skin is remarkable.
The depiction of trans people coming out of the cave SENT me lmfao felt so hard
The walk and 'rain on me' playing 🤣🤣

Not first, but still here surprisingly early.
the two kinds of coming out vids: sit down straight to camera where you end up crying, and some good artsy fartsy shit
i love both
and the third, elusive type: the "by the way i'm gay nbd"
miles mckennas coming out as a trans man a year after I did was SO impactful to me. I felt like I had someone in it with me, and I watched his transition videos while I began my own transition. I don't watch him as much these days, but those memories have a special place in my heart.
Dan did an entire video not only talking about his sexuality but he told everyone to leave off about his personal life in the most kind way and I love that for him
Lmao. I was just binging through Mac's old video's and i SUDDENLY got this notification.

Mac's audience l's culture is watching his old videos more than the ones he recently uploads because 1. He doesn't upload often and 2. His humor is timeless
