    I always liked the Coke polar bear ads. I want to say cgi of that level hadn't really been used for an entire ad prior to that point.
    As someone who experienced TMNT, Power Rangers, and Pokémon, I'm honestly not sure what was bigger at it's height. I never stopped liking Pokémon, though. Bought a GBA, DS, 3DS, and a Switch just so I could keep playing the games.
    Man, we had at least 8 Disney movies in those plastic, flip open cases. Used to be able to name almost every animated, theater released Disney film, in order, from Snow White to Lilo & Stitch.
    I always liked the Lubriderm ads, just because of the alligator. Always felt bad for it though, his skin's fine the way it is.

    The Coca-Cola polar bears were always a great sign that the holidays were rolling around. Just like the Hess trucks. Both went hand in hand. Like peanut butter and jelly. Can we also talk about the era of Sister Sister on ABC before it went to The WB? What a time

    Oooh Pogs & Slammers! The joys of 6th grade and my school banning them for "promoting gambling." 😄

    • @thedukeofweasels6870
      @thedukeofweasels6870 Před 2 lety +1

      It's only promoting gambling if anyone actually played with them but most people just collected them without actually playing them plus it's not like similar playground games like marbles haven't been around forever. XD

      My Stepdad loved the bears, as well as collecting Coke merch, like the old signs, and he even had a working top loading coke cooler from the 60's we used as 2nd fridge growing up(mostly keeping his beer cool lol), but the funny thing about it, is he rarely drank Coke 🤷‍♂

    terrific Christmas ad from 1995. i nearly forgot how Disney would release a VHS tape of a movie for a limited time to create artificial scarcity. like if you didn't buy Snow White at just the right time it was made available you'd lose your chance to own it forever. but lo! give it a couple of decades and Disney creates a streaming platform with nearly all of their movies, cartoon, and shorts. it's a miracle! or maybe...marketing? at any rate, thanks Dave for another set of great ads from a time gone by! loved too the Disney intro and outro!

    Oh yeah, I remember the Coca-Cola polar bears! RIP to Bob Saget. POGs were such a popular thing back when I was in elementary and middle school. Nowadays, seems like Pop Sockets are taking over and that reminds me of the old POG days. So many designs of those Pop Sockets! lol
