  • The Blizzard of 2022 will go down as one of those major life events that you remember forever. This video details how we routinely remove snow from our 1/4 mile driveway. We use our plow truck with a Western Plow and our Polaris 570 Sportsman. If you live rurally in areas where snow is abundant you better have a snow removal plan plus a backup plan. We live only a few miles from Lake Michigan so we experience quite a lot of lake effect snow, we average around 145" per year. Thanks for watching!

Excellent!! That’s a long driveway, but it also means you have some privacy ;-) That is the best, enjoy!! Thanks for watching, Ed

Haha…yes, I’ve been accused of being a bit OCD with my vehicles and equipment. I hope to get a few more years out of big red!! Thanks for watching!!

Hi Ed, great video. That sure is a lot of snow! You won't be cutting much wood anytime soon! Take care and stay warm, Jason.

Thanks Jason! Believe it or not most of it is gone, so we were able to process some wood today. Weird weather for sure!! Take care and stay safe, Ed

We had about 2’ in the yard in Grand Rapids. Stuff melted in three days 🤣

GR has been hit pretty good this year, I have friends that live down there and you guys have seen quite a bit, luckily the warm weather has made it manageable. Our snow is mostly gone too, except for the drifts and snow piles...stay safe down there! best, Ed

That Avalanche you have, is that the half-ton model? It did a great job.

Hi Mark, yes it’s the 1/2 ton, it’s a beast! Only downfall is the maneuverability in a small area…this is my 7th winter with it and I have it down pretty well 😀. Thanks for watching!

I’m sure you’ve considered it but curious why you have not got PTO snowblower for your MX Kubota? I I have a 5’ for my kubota and makes life a lot easier and I have to move a lot less snow on my acreage then you do. With the amount of snow you get the piles of pushing the snow must get hard to pile by the end of the year. Great channel, good job

Good question!! I really haven't needed one up to this point, I work from home and could always go out and plow the driveway, but after this last storm I have decided to get one for next year. What brand and model do you have and what should I look for in a blower? Thank for watching!!

@@UpNorthNybergs I have a 5’ Farm King and have been happy with it very heavy duty. I would suspect with your MX you could go with a 6’ or what ever covers rear tire space.
