We went to Costco last weekend to do the last of the Thanksgiving grocery shopping (except for the turkey, which was on a loss-leader special at a local supermarket). Tried a sample of zero-sugar Coke. Loved the great buy on chicken broth (12 cans of reduced-sodium Swanson for $4.79). The big splurge was a tin of fancy cookies made with Belgian chocolate for approx. $17.
The chicken broth was such a good deal! It's impossible to get out without at least one little splurge!
I have been binge watching your videos. I spent $289.68 @ Costco tonight and forgot half the stuff I wanted. I found the Carcara oranges today at our Citrus Heights Costco. I was telling my hubby about your video and you showing them. This guy came up and said that they are the best oranges ever and that I'll never wanna eat a regular orange again.
The socks Mark and the boys have are the same socks that I just got. They have a version for women. But I went for the men's for the dark color. I really love them. Again thank you for sharing. Happy thanksgiving.

I always thought my mom was the only person who uses her deck as a extra fridge during Alaskan winters. Lol.
I actually had a giggle, lve not seen anyone do that before here in balmy Melbourne if it gets to 10o Celsius (no not minus 10) we all turn into blocks of ice😁
It is so close to the kitchen we just make use of it! Just can't leave things too long or you forget and then we get a warm spell and its all a mess. Your mom sounds like my kind of woman!

-6 degree's! Pass...It's 23 degree's here in Missouri & I'm loving it! No rain or snow yet...getting my shopping list ready for tomorrow...going to Bath & Body for a few 3 wick candles (buy 3 get 3 free~ can't beat that!) and then off to Sam's & maybeeee Hobby Lobby..I love my shopthrapy time I get...
I know you love your babies, but momma's sometimes just need some shopthrapy...I get it.

Great shopping trip. Brrrrrr I like the deck fridge. My daughter made bacon wrapped dates and she put goat cheese in them. Everyone loved them. She also put a little honey on top before baking. I’ve never seen the sea urchin fruit before. Such nice cars and things as well! Happy thanksgiving!

I’m binge watching your channel. Got behind during the holiday. My son and his family came in for a few days. He’s stationed in New Mexico right now. Always thankful when my children can come home for the holidays. One son and one daughter are military so that doesn’t always happen. Thanks Lauren.

I bought that hand soap selection this summer like the Christmas set you got. It was really hard to get them out of the package. They must have used super strong rubber cement and once I got them out they had a big glob of cement on the back that I couldn't get off.
Oh no, lve looked at them for ages in Costco Australia and wanted them so bad, lm not interested if the packaging is not great. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am going to check right now to see if they have the same problem! That is so disappointing! I checked... these Christmas ones came out fine and the glue came off with just a little bit of rubbing.
The soaps came out just fine. Thankfully they must have used something different. Took just a little bit of rubbing, but no problem otherwise!

Hi Friends, nope nope nope not fun no Everett at Costco 😉, good save he made an appearance to open the PO Box card and package!! You are so spoilt, Kelly's cat looked adorable. Glad Luna made an appearance to test the strange spiky fruit l was happy to see her checking out Mummy's new finds. I looked up Fried Rice Express Menu online and YUM they have some mouthwatering salads and noodle dishes, how the heck you did all that shopping, filming driving and made it to lunch just blows me away you are a supermum Lauren. Thankyou for sharing ❤
Man, you made me tired reading back all the things I did. Sometimes I don’t even know how I manage to cram it all in but it felt like a productive day. The fried rice express has such a huge menu, it was so hard to decide but everything was so hot and fresh!
My brother in law has a boot dryer and it works great he loves it

I've not heard of bacon wrapped dates either but lm interested, in Australia we do bacon wrapped prunes the same way they are called "Devils on horseback" here.

Next time, try the rambutans when they are ripe. They are so sweet, similar to lychees.
How do I know if they are ripe??
@@ThisAlaskaLife Very deep redish brown color (with or without hint of black on the spines). Avoid green, yellow, orange on the skins.
Tonight I procrastinated making a pie because I had to make a pie crust. I even watched a few utube videos to get inspiration. But I caved, I had anxiety. I decided to buy a Bob Evans Pumpkin pie but make homemade whipped cream. I totally get the back up plan. I decided to make Pumpkin Latte's in my Cooking Blender instead.
You had a productive day. And a little Mom Holiday Organization time. And it is good you squeezed some time in to enjoy the season with Friends.
I love pears with gorganzola, red onions, Strawberries and candied pecans on arugula , with a Strawberry dressing.

I was draping my parka over my cart inside Costco, too -- although I probably should have just worn a windbreaker, as that day's high was in the 40s, maybe up to 50 (pretty warm for Illinois this late in November).
That does seem warm for late Nov. I was sweating!

I have lived in Alaska since I was 14 and my husband is born and raised here. We went away to college but moved back 14 years ago. We love it. Hearing the waves sounds wonderful!

I just read off the prices, nothing more to it. Everything at Costco ends in a 9 unless it’s clearance!

In my experience of Nebraska, Costco has been expensive compared to other grocery stores, especially for fast moving commodities like milk and bread. They make it seem like it is not.
I feel the .99 technique is an insult to consumers.
