Bro where you been at? I miss your long-form videos like you did for the other games where you would go in detail over every skill for every character. Those were amazing and I would be so happy if you could do it for bl3. I know they're probably a lot of work though.
Normally I wouldn't bother Derch disappearing as he did it quite a few times already, but this is the first time I remember when he has gone fully silent on all his social media accounts as well as the gearbox forums for now almost 4 months. I hope he is ok.

@@leukashot123 I honestly didn't know if the game was good or bad until recently. I avoided it based on the whole Epic thing and Randy Pitchford's haughty attitude. I just happened to say hay let me see what Derch is doing with this game and bam no content in like 9 months. Hope he is doing well.

As a Zane main, most of my loyalty emails have been Dahl and Jakobs. Outside of any Legendaries being used, the normal world drop weapons I get mileage with are those two manufacturers. They just really click with my playstyle using this character.
Zane is absolutely beast with Dahl weapons, especially if you use the clone. I run a dahl loyalty Gemini Man build using the clone and the dome and it is god mode since the clone doesn't seem to miss shots due to low recoil of Dahl weapons and aims for crits. If you want to turn the clone into an absolute monster.......give it a Dahl AR and it will literally double your DPS

I come back to the Borderlands 2 videos every so often, just to have some background noise while I play. This channel really had some great content and I am forever grateful that you made the content that you did. There never will be another creator like you. It's a shame to not see you post anymore but I hope you find happiness in whatever you are doing

I like this gun a lot. I usually have one in my backpack no matter who I'm playing. One thing I really like it for is Maliwan slaughter. It's nice for getting crits on heavies when you don't have a good angle thanks to the bullet spread.

This is my favorite AR in the game. DAHL weapons just feel so good to shoot. Definitely not the best gun but it's fun to use.
A total improvement from their BL2 counterparts!

I agree and I don't even have one yet. Most guns in this game feel good, but damn is Dahl just on another level. Like, even mid-quality Dahl feels like it would stomp every other gun in any other FPS.
@@ZatoichiBattousai True, but I will say that I absolutely loved the feel and performance of Dahl E-Tech SMGs & Hornet from BL2 and the Torrent from TPS.
Been playing Borderlands 2 for the first time in years and have really enjoyed your videos. Hope you'll make some more in the future.
This is also a gun that would really benefit from the terror anointment ammo regen perk, because the fire rate is not so fast that it would burn through the mag anyway, and it's got high enough handling and accuracy that the terror won't screw with it too much. Shooting this for days sounds dope.
It kinda seems like the projectiles are functioning like the Cutsman's? Where they split, but they kinda perform like you're shooting a length of razor wire.

This has to be my single most wanted weapon, I haven't gotten one yet, but I'm currently only averaging a couple of hours a week cumulatively right now. I think that its rather impressive for it's ease of use, ammo efficiency, and potentially amazing damage. Definitely a gun that's more than the sum of it's parts.

I got the most out this gun in cryo on amara. If you go with a tank build (samsura, damage reduction all the way etc) it's pretty good as a point blank weapon that you can just unload on enemies. I see it as a weaker version of the dictator in a way, but without move speed penalty.
Get some mag size bonuses, my dude. I can't live without them now. My Lyuda has 35 rounds in the mag.
Nice review tho. I've been waiting for a good review of this gun. I get a lot of them and they kind of intrigue me.
OMG. One of my versions is a terror anointment which gives a stacking chance to fire an extra shot, and holy forkballs. It just wrecked the Maliwan Blacksite. Do not sleep on this gun. With the right parts/anointment/build, it is amazing. Throw indiscriminate on it, and Ties that bind/stillness of mind... Dude. And yes, shooting it for days with terror ammo regen is insane.

This was the weapon that let me know ARs are _great_ in this game, picked one up around level 35-40 and it put in work for a darn good while.
I find it's a solid weapon, I don't know if it's the best in it's class but it's crazy fun. I think the gun fires 1 straight bullet and two that helix cross it constantly like a non-lopsided DNA stand with a line down the middle meaning depending on distances you can either mini Lyuda/shotgun 3 bullets at a target or land 3 bullets on the same point for great damage.
Every variant of this gun I've found has been non-elemental, I'd love a Cryo one or something for my Amara, speaking of, I basically used this gun as a rapid shotgun when I was levelling melee Amara, it was one of the first non-Jakobs guns I used and stuck with.

Decaying Star Helix has been my main weapon throughout TVHM and Mayhem mode. They just feel great and are easy to aim and handle well. I run a Gamma Fl4k so Gamma procs my Elemental Projector Deathless relic. There is also a corrosive legendary AR Dahl that wrecks robots. Breath of the Dying . So happy Gearbox made ARs viable again.
I absolutely love this gun, and for skill trees i'd prefer a cryo action skill element tbh

Love this gun looking for a fire one and a radiation one. I had a fire damage one from level 38 to 43 and it was my main weapon.

Hey man. I always come back to check back on your channel. I still jump back to BL2 a lot even to this day. I always liked your content. I watched you around 2015-16 a lot.
I got 2 of these so far. Both of mine are also radiation. 1 of them anointed with +125% dmg to badasses after action skill end and that seems to push it into the great gun category, the non-anointed version was good but not quite great.
Please come back derch!? How do you feel about wonderlands, or maybe try getting into the new exodus mod joltz had a gun like the firestorm grenade mixed with a corrosive pimpernem, rained down 3 corrosive pellets on a shot
I have a Non-Elem Star Helix with +300% damage Phaseslam Anointedment on my Amara, It brutalizes Mobs in MM3. Awesome gun!

Dude, for sure get caught up on The Expanse. Season one was good, but it really kicks off in seasons 2 and 3. It was really amazing. There are some great characters, and a great story/writing. The pacing is well-done too. It's a rare scifi show that works on many levels, not just as scifi/nerdgasm material. Crisjen Avasarala and Amos are two of my favorite TV characters ever.
I've picked up 2 of these and haven't really gotten to test them yet. I need to.
I agree entirely. I wish the redtext on this gun was "Doors and Corners" or honestly anything Amos says.

Honestly this is one of my favorite guns in the game. Low key. Amazing against big bosses. I got a normal but a faster fire rate

IMO this is the most fair gun in the game.
Extremely easy to use, have a nice learning curve with fair reward
potential to use in almost every off meta builds. Beautiful.

The alien barrel "Lump" launchers feels like what a maliwan launcher would have been in 3.

I have a frost version, which is amazing. One of my favourite weapons in the game. I also got it as non-elemental.
I also have a frost version that increases the fire rate if you jump

My jakobs man how what is going on you on one of your breaks again.
I actually prefer this AR over a Lucian's Call for Zane. It procs Brain Freeze ridiculously fast and easy. The cryo variant is superb for him. It always shoots x3 regardless of distance. Once they're frozen, close the distance, hit those crits, and whatever your target is will be dead in about a second. The radiation version with Gamma Burst annointment is god tier on FL4K too. This might be my favorite AR in the game. It just handles so damn well and has great dps and ammo efficiency. I really should try this with Amara. I doubt it would outperform Skeksil or Linoge with Indiscriminate but I'm sure it's still really good for her Ties That Bind builds.
Does it sound like mayhem 4 will be easier than mayhem 3? Mayhem 4 will only have 2 modifiers, a player buff and an enemy buff. And all player debuffs are removed. So we get maybe 200(guess) enemy health and two random effects. Maybe extra elemental dmg and extra enemy fire rate, sounds pretty stable.
The bullets travel too fast. I don't know if I consider that an advantage or a disadvantage
