John Mayall, the Godfather of the 1960's British Blues Revival, is still alive and playing at the age of 90 !!!

Love this performance and loved your reaction! John Mayall is known as the godfather of British blues and has been hugely influential. Among the famous musicians who have played in the Bluesbreakers are Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Eric Clapton, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood (also Fleetwood Mac). Please check out some more of his work.

Here are some tunes to consider and I am fond of the first one: "Blues for the Lost Days" off album of same title; "Long Gone Midnight" off Blues From Laurel Canyon; "Living On The Highway" off The Palace of The King; "Dirty Water" off 70th Birthday Concert. You might also like "All Your Love" Eric Clapton & John Mayall with The Bluesbreakers off Eric Clapton Life In 12 Bars.

Great job Biz! Unlike most reviewers you are bringing John Mayall into the forefront where he belongs. Dig into his 70th birthday live album. The entire album is fire 🔥

John Mayall and his band are iconic and very important. MANY very well known artist spent time playing in the BluesBreakers, including Eric Clapton, Peter Green, John McVei, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor Jack Bruce and now Gary Moore. The line up changed often, but the blues rock was always first rate.

Great video. Nobody does John Mayall. Lots of amazing musicians have gone through that band. Gary is on fire in this song. Buddy Whittington is the other guitarist.

Biz, great choice. Rory Gallagher, Buddy Whittington are amazing guitarists. You should check out Frank Marino It's Begun to Rain Live At Agora Theater. Frank is another outstanding guitarist. ✌️ ☮️ 🎵🎶 🎸

Your reaction starts with the message "Help us keep great music alive.....subscribe". Please explain how subscribing to your channel helps to do that. Surely the only way of keeping great music alive is by supporting artists, buying their recordings, going to see them live etc etc?

John Mayalll played with more legends than Steve Kerr. Combined many times with Clapton they formed one of many of Eric’s legendary groups. Blues Breakers, also known as The Beano Album, is the debut studio album by the English blues rock band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, originally credited to John Mayall with Eric Clapton
Clapton With Mayall in The Breakers pioneered a guitar-dominated blues-rock sound.
They changed thinks up. No ego. Almost faceless. The out out bb king like jams

It is sad that most young Americans will only remember African Americans contribution to music is Rap which to me isn't music at all with no emotional feel WHEN the blues is the true gift to us all by them. RIP Gary
