The greatest guitar player ever. Gary was just a cut above the rest. And this must be the greatest guitar performance ever captured on film.
    Absolutely brilliant!

Lets be honest the 2nd best irish guitarist ever aka gary would be in ahh holding srvs beer as srv plays the guitar behind his back better and more fluid then gary does forward. In all honesty its a fun dumb argument because it all comes down to taste.

I've been a musician since 1963 and I've seen many of the great live, including Jimi Hendrix, BB King and Jeff Beck and many more. IMHO Gary is the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this recording is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded.

Saw Gary in Saarbruken while stationed in Germany, '89/90.
    Just an incredible show!
    He is greatly missed!

He was a lot better guitarist than I thought he was. The only song I heard from him was 'Still Got The Blues' which he played quite well. His fingerwork on the fret board was amazing.

One of the greatest when you listen to his catalogue

@@sillysausage4549 I know a few guitarists who are at his level but he is a lot better than I thought he was. I guess there may be a lot of guitarists who can play like that but getting to hear what they can do is a challenge.

Nessuno al mondo suona questo brano in modo sentito e struggente, come il grande Gary

Looked at your videos, wide variety. Not sure what your go-to genre is but if you like metal pls consider checking out LOVEBITES. All female J-metal band who sing in English. I would ask you to check out Break The Wall live 2020. Very reminiscent of 80s thrash (Slayer / Testament), with a caveat. One of the solos is very GM like. In fact, Miyako who performed the solo is heavily influenced by Gary, has covered The Loner on guitar and piano. It's a very cool song, being thrashy with an elegant, melodic solo. She uses her Les Paul as well. 😊 If you don't know who Miyako is...oh boy. EVH, Dimebag, Gary, Ritchie Blackmore, Brian May, Kirk Hammett, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff all in one...impressive is right. She writes many of Lovebites songs and many contain classical themes / references. They are amazing. Hopefully, you'll read my note.🤘

I’ve noticed a lot of these reactions slowed down. Is it so you don’t get the video took down?

It's good, but not as good as the original. Roy Buchanan managed to play it without all the extreme facial contortions as well.

Gary Moore destroys the beanie clad Buchanan in every sense.

      That's absolute rubbish!
I like Roy Buchanan and indeed bought the album that this appeared on in the 70's, but Gary's version (especially this live one) blows the socks off of the original.
      R.I.P both Gary and Roy.

Why always make it a ranking? They‘re both great musicians. I don‘t need to rank them. Depending on my current mood this one or that one will give me more of what I need at a given time. Both of them can teach/give you sth. the other one can‘t. Right? We‘re blessed to have them both on record.
