When you said you ganna do a review, I definitely didn't expect for something so fkn good and in depth. Crazy man, really nice job!
nice to see people still using the RX1R II
Great video! This is a year old, and still these great Sony film simulations aren't known to many it seems. I bought them a week ago, and it's so nice to have great colours straight out of the camera. And so many options. Those Picture Profile settings are powerful, with a steep learning curve. I'm only an amateur, so always shooting RAW and have to edit on computer can sometimes be time consuming and boring. It's inspiring to see great colours on the camera screen. Shooting both jpeg and raw, I can always edit if not happy with it. Cheers 😊
Thank you. I'm learning so much from your vids. ❤👍
Thanks so much, Justin. This is extremely useful.
Can we petition Sony for the ability to name these custom profiles and for in-body grain? 🙏🏼
That would be amazing
@@brunomrsantos I can only hope, it should be a no brainer. This with HSL asjustments, saving a custom kelvin for each pictue profile and grain effects
@veresdenialex I guess Sony would only have to find some clever way to brand those specifications without stepping on Fujifilm's IP. I'm sure there's a safe way to do it. After all, things like grain are natural properties of images, therefore free of ownership. It's just a matter of tying it all up under some clever branding and that's that. You've already done the hard part. They don't even need to change anything. Just add those much needed specifications and the users will do the rest.
this is exactly what I was looking for, for me the lightroom presets swing it for me over the picture profiles. nicely done Justin.
awesome! i feel the same
I'm a member of his site, too and was considering the dream neg profile and after seeing your review I am DEFINITELY adding it to my A7C! Great review!!
Thanks!
Thnx for the code... downloading, those films simulations was the reason to invest on fuji, but i really like the a6xxx designs of the body. Now thats not an advantage to care.
There are a ton of presets out there for "post-" --- the whole thing to me is about shooting jpeg with "pre-" and then NOT having to spend time in a computer screen editing
As stated in this video, if you have a newer Sony camera, you can plug in any of these film sims directly into the camera and have your recipe profiles for jpegs
how many sims can you load into the camera?

Bro, I use my a7siii for street photography looking to emulate some looks and totally forgot about the picture profiles! I've been searching all week for a gr mark 1 as well. Funny how this video is an absolute gem for my cause. Thank you. What low profile lens do you like to use?
Thanks! I've been using these primarily on my Sony RX1 Rii, which has a fixed Zeiss lens 35mm f/2 (amazing camera btw, I did a huge review on it if you wanna check it out: czcams.com/video/B5vBviauh8s/video.html ) But with my a7Siii, for this video i just used the little 40mm f/2.5 G lens. The AF is so good on those new little G lenses, i also have the 24mm as well. And i use those as my gimbal lenses for my coporate clients. Because they take the same size filters and they're nearly identical in size & weight. So i can swap them out and not have to re-balance the gimbal. (I use the RS2 Pro). But when i do hardcore street with the a7Siii i usually like to use this vintage Minolta Rokkor 35mm f/1.8 MDii. ebay.us/Iy3dPL It's pretty small and has cool character since it's from 1979. Thanks for checking out the video!
Good video I wish we could meet up one day I live in Orange County I drive to LA every once in awhile
Does the lightroom presets work for lightroom mobile?
