- The Chief himself dropped by the Evening Show with Gordon Smart to talk about his brand new single This Is The Place. But, seeing as Matt Morgan was there, the conversation also drifted onto poo'ing in egg boxes, and a case of mistaken identity.

"enough about me, lets talk about you, what do you love about me"
I love his friendship with Matt, could hear them chatting for hours.
He's probably got about 3 'real' friends in the entire world. All the others are just sociopaths who wouldn't look twice at him if he wasn't famous..
@@stulee986 You're probably right, Matt seems like a real nice and sincere guy though, but who knows.
@@stulee986 should be mates with his brother
Standing in the Bushes was a good album. Especially the tune Fucking on the Shoulder of Giants.
Gordon smart is the biggest Noel fan boy ever and when he says something and Noel says no that’s wrong it’s comedy gold 😂😂😂
Noel: The Songs keep coming to me instantly, so quick and easy.
Interviewer: But you just said it took four years to write this song.
U r funny
In the good sense of course
Lol

The chief on radio X what a pleasure
“Standing in the bushes” is one of the most inspirational quotes I’ve ever heard. It’s like something you’d find in the bible or something
Noel keeps evolving which is brilliant. This tune could have been written and
sung by Peter Gabriel in the 1980's.
This song is horrific. Dont dont disrespect Peter like that lol
If by evolving you mean experimenting, which I guess he is kind of doing to an extent, then fair enough. But the fact is that the new songs are weak. You can evolve/experiment all you want, but if the melodies are weak, what's the point. Nobody will be listening to these latest songs in 5 years time, they are VERY forgettable.
@@davidm469 Yes you are right, it's forgettable trash.
wandering spirit idk how saying something could have easily been done by someone else 40 years ago is a compliment...
But that's just me.
You said we'd live forever... x
"Nirvana had more than two" phew, I did worry
Ohhhh I remember how you used to shine
Great line ...written by the same guy who writes song for Lady Gaga. Liam really is a true rock star.
I laughed so out loud when told the Jason Donovan story... Brilliant
Noel is such a legend! When he's in the room, you listen!
Shut up.
@@Revolver1981 What an absolute insight... well done
But ohh I remember how you used to shine...

jay bee my density level is high at the moment. What are you referring to again? Lol
Level Earth Revival I saw it written I think it’s lyrics to one of us xxx
I wonder how much of that line did he write XD
Barbara Meza probably more than noel has ever snorted... least he didn’t copy and rip off like potato
that impression of Sara is beautiful 👌😂
How far in does he do it

Matt and Noel have a special kind of bromance.
they both have Russell to thank for that

I loved that album Andrew Wyatt and the other guys who write for Beyonce and Adele are the best
@@barbarameza9151 does Adele wrigh any of her songs?
I really like these interviews with his mate dunno his name but always cones across like a relax chat with his pals. Asks questions id wanna ask also
mBICKNELL Matt Morgan. One of his best mates for years now.
Maybe questions like 'Why are you wearing sunglasses indoors Noel you fuckin' bell end'?
Listened to noels new single once
Once is a song by Andrew Wyatt the man who writes for Beyonce and Adele
Barbara Meza Liam wrote the tune mate
Liam
Much as Noel does my head in these days i did laugh at the Jason Donovan story 😂
@Station View shut up 🤣
Great tune! Thanks Noel
11:30 oh man, I'm so glad Noel liked MadCool! I was in MadCool and had a moment when i pointed to Noel with a finger in "What a life" and he pointed to me back a bit nervious 😂 love this Man.
The story about Jason is brilliant! XD
is it part of gordon smarts contract to interview noel at least once a month
Harold2019 they go way back
And be smarm personified.
He was good in the mid 90s
I loved Oasis when they first came out. Then kind of got bored with them and stopped listening. I haven't followed Noel or Liams output for ten years, but everything I'm hearing from this new album sounds really great. - One note: Get a bigger mic, try to obscure the guests faces completely.
I wish Gordon had asked him about Scotland.
Dw about going to glasto, Liam rocks it already
When will it be released?
Hilarious, what a legend.
I think he should write a song called 'Shake your knickers'. It could be as giant a youth anthem as cigarettes and alcohol...

that sunglass i need it
You could get them in last summer's pretty green collection ;)

Anybody else agree that this is the most interesting time in Noel’s career? I love that you never know what is coming next.
I totally agree mate!!
Noel being interviewed by his two mates who are pretending to like the new tune 🙄
The same as the other two laughing at every gibberish that comes out of Liam's mouth
Oh good, it's only been a day since you last had a Gallagher on
nice slip of the C word @6.11
Oasis glastonbury 2020 make it happen
It won't.
Hope not, leave the glory days in the history books.
It’ll be the worst thing to ever happen. Stop living in the past and stop being boring.
@@Parkie355 Itd be the best thing cmon stop hating

Dave Carpenter251 I’ll just keep moving on
These interviews are the very definition of holding court...
Make an Oasis reunion and bring Owen Morris back
100 percent Owen
Noel turns to act with the same "SELF-CONFIDENCE" as LG's in the 90s ^v^ Look how he sits and talks ^v^
It’s not sophisticated to poo in an egg box Noel god
standing in the bushes lol
10:43 Oh come on Gallagher - I thought Oasis at Glastonbury in 2004 was one of the worst gigs I've ever seen.As Liam said afterwards "who cares - we only did it for the money"....

@@SuperDavidGnomo ....and your response to my comment is?
@@fruitycolax google: "Liam I fucking hate glastonbury" on the L4E forum
Help me out, is this Irish ?
This track had me tapping my foot right from the off. As always, though, with Noel, we say to ourselves "What does this remind me of" ? (and I do not mean that in a pejorative sense, because I've always admired his candidness in flagging up his inspirations) For me it recalled the B-52s and, in particular, certain of their album tracks where the tune just kicks in straight away, almost as if you are joining the song after it is already gotten under way. I do like it, musically, and if you take the refrain and even the verses as an integral part of the sound rather than a something to be regarded in their own right, then it works as a groovy track on a playlist. Then again, if you take them seriously, in some po-faced way, you could claim he is bemoaning god's silence. Talking of which, heaven knows how I missed the fact that Noel was in NL during Glastonbury, seeing as I have been living here the last 20 years. However, from what he says here I am kind of glad. This is the thing, though: Most people from the outside have a warped idea of the Dutch. They presume they are all mellowed out stoners, but, get this; only 5.4% of the population here smoke cannabis compared to the European average of 6.8%. The reason for this misconception is that it is the Dutch drug laws that are relaxed, not necessarily the people.
As a one-time visitor to Amsterdam I can attest to the fact it's citizens are NOT relaxed. Never felt so exploited and consequently disliked in my life 😂😂
@@somewhatsomething4882 The Dutch are extremely businesslike and business-minded. It is all about the money, the profit, and the status. When I first came here it was a shock. Now I am used to it. They are fine to live amongst, but they'll merrily sell you down the river if a better option appears.
I'm not into this partisan Noel vs Liam nonsense, but I have to say Noel's solo work is just not for me, I appreciate he's trying to do something different, but I just find it a bit bland. Liam's kept more of an Oasis vibe to his music and even though it might not be as musically sophisticated, it just works and has a rawness about it which is why people loved Oasis.
Music is not space science....
The most uninteresting interview I've seen yet with Noel but hey............... Lewis Capaldi tells me that Noel's new EP 'Black Star Dancing' is available to stream and download. It doesn't sound like the Dutch will be doing much streaming or downloading though.
Noel is such a weapon’
Fuckin in the bushes* I guess he was being radio friendly
5:53 Noel is clearly delussional
I blame David Holmes for Noel's diluded music direction
It used to be a good thing when he would ruthlessly follow his instincts. Now, I wish he feel a little self-doubt.
💕ng
No mention of Scotland being like a third world country then 🤔
Naw
It is right?
@Mt. BoRed I'm not from Scotland ...
However , Gordon Smart is a scot ..so I would have expected him to bring up the whole " 3rd world " thing ...but sadly not ...pfff
Noel n e e d s Liam
Another banger from the Chief! The tune esp the bass surprised me. Some dumb people still prematurely affiliates Noel to only rock and roll, but he's moved on to something new. I feel sorry for these twats for whining about an adult wanting to do what he wants and thinking they have a say to the chap's life. Poor maggots.
Agreed! -- Every great artist in history has evolved.
I totally agree. Johnny marr, David Bowie, Damon Albarn, Thom Yorke, and countless more artists have consistently changed their style of music, and have added elements of other genres of music into their style of rock. They only difference with Noel is that Liam has now established an army of offended/angry/snowflake twitter users to mock it before even giving it a chance. It's so ridiculous to me that these people seem to think that they will eventually berate Noel into an Oasis reunion. Fat Chance!
Bratty Neet 👏🏻👏🏻
Am I the only one distracted by the lights shining on Noel’s glasses looking like big googly eyes?!?!
I reckon Noel and Jason Donovan would be great buddies. Those Aussie know how to have a night out. Could teach Noel a thing or two!
I got to 6 mins.and turned it off. Noel ego is getting too big...he's just a person like the rest of us.
Yeah, but we'll always will have Oasis...it will live on forever. Right!?
No doubt...they came out of the rock and roll gate at full speed.
its weird how i really like oasis songs. but i like liams solo stuff waaaayyyyy more than noels solo stuf....weird...
Lol
Can anyone name any great popular UK rock bands to come after Oasis? can anyone name any rockstars to come after Oasis? any great rock songs after Oasis? any great uk pop bands since the 1990's?
Gaz Lee The Darkness, anything by The Darkness.

Only LG fan boys want an Oasis reunion. It’ll be fucking shite.
It's sad to see people turn their backs on The Chief. The man created those amazing songs Oasis turned out. He loves Liam. Liam loves him and it'll all work out in the end. #LiveForever
No it won't
No chance mate. Read the interview he gave to the guardian a couple of days ago.
Noel has turned into a working class traitor. Is it any wonder people are turning his back on him?! The guy has lost it and can't write classics anymore. Liam has surpassed him.
Ivan Bravo totally agree mate. Man’s a sell out and it’s cringeworthy. For someone who claims to be the bigger more mature person all he does at the moment is dig out his brother. Got a record to sell Noel? Oh yeah...
He hates his brother and everything oasis

This song is dreadful, as was Black Star Dancing
So the Toilet is "This is the Place". Hence it does justify his new music.
Well-done and produced music but rather bad song I guess, I don't mind experimenting in general but sounding class-B Primal Scream(XTRMNTR-era onwards) is not what I was expecting. But guess it's just not made for me anymore.

You're seriously giving this guy publicity ? His new stuff is garbage and the only reason he is famous is because of oasis , this would never get him noticed otherwise. People across the pond dont know his name but atleast they can recognize his brothers voice , Liams.

They made a custom door for him like one of those Orthodox church style portals
And you are, who exactly?! Whether or not you enjoy his music, he’s brought joy to millions of people- have you? IF he was pleased with his achievements I think that’d be justified. Unlike most megastars he still maintains a realism and feet on the ground style which is pretty impressive given his background and multi millionaire status combined with massive media attention. Don’t let jealousy eat you..........
Well turn it off then!? lol
