From David and Noel working together from the ground up in Belfast with just a guitar and a bag of FX pedals to Johnny Marr talking about meeting up with Noel during his breaks from touring at Man City football matches... this is everything you want to about Noel's journey to creating Who Built The Moon - Hudba
These were all new songs, written for the album. He's got plenty of songs already written. Or at least plenty of ideas. He's earned the right to put out anything he wants. Rock on Noel.
The Man Who Built The Moon is an absolute masterpiece
The album and sound are fantastic. This is how the Who and Stones made their early stuff. Fantastic Noel!
Taken me a while to look into the HFB stuff but this album is so good. Loving the analysis of the recording process in interviews and docs.
Such an amazing songwriter
Who built the moon is Noel's most fun record, but I think he needs to bring some of his homemade tunes to the same recording process. It would make an even better album.
Weak points are some of the lyrics and repetitive nature of some of the songs.....doing some homework for the album indeed might have helped.
LoLzZ85 as apposed to listening to the same bar chords on the first two records? Talk about being fucking old as fuck, thank god that he didnt follow his first two albums which are okay, he actually tried something amazing and new. Thank fuck. Kill me if I ever hear a chasing yesterday 2.
Holy shit dude. Chill the fuck out.
+Ness N I very much welcome the direction he took.
My least favourite out of the three but a very interesting album with good songs and some weaker ones. I love the first two albums too but I just prefer the songs on them
Brilliant album, a great move to work with someone outside your wheelhouse.
Great album, i dont see the big fuss about it being a totally different direction!! It doesnt sound like that much of a departure to me!! People need to get over the fact hes not in oasis anymore!!🤘🤘🤘
i think noel moe than anyone thinks its a massive change if direction, the fans mostly just think its filled with average instrumental and poor poor lyrics
Yeah Noel is a genius. Perfect time to do it. I love it. Not my favorite of his but love it. For all those fans who aren't sure: cheer up, you KNOW he has plenty of classic stuff left for next one.
Thanks to David Holmes for pushing Noel in this direction. The album is nothing less than spectacular!!!
Love this records, definitly Noel find a diferent sound.
Noel is a Genius
Yeah, he really is !!
Calm down a bit ffs.
well, hes a great songwritter, but i think that he doesn't deserve to be called a "genius"
I mean... he's not Lennon or Spinetta
@@splod spinetta? Who the fuck is spinetta?

Great record!
alisa alferova no it's not
alisa alferova meh!
It's an awesome record, but when we're talking about noel gallagher awesome isn't good enough
It's a good album . Better than any other bullshit that's being created right now. I think it was a good idea to change it up a bit.
mave diller Nah... As you were is way better m8.
Fckng legend like no other.
Fuckin amazing album
I really like the record a lot. It sounds great and has some real jems on there. The song writing took a backseat to the sound and groove though. If he could combine those two fully on the next project than it would be a fantastic album
benderB9 there's no songwriting to speak of on this.
Tommy conan Coates
I don't agree with that. Fort Knox is a banger, Holy Mountain Has some silly lyrics but is a really catchy tune that works great live. And The Man Who Built the Moon is excellent. That track is really what I want Noel more to do. It combines the great Sound of the record with his classic songwriting
It's so annoying how Noel makes it look so damn easy.....not fair ❤😊
literally chasing the future
Whats the track at 5.23?
"There's a load of geezers dressed in parkers who want you to carry on doing what it is they missed out on"
So true!
The best album since his first solo album. Better then heather chemistry.
NG PRINCE OF PROG ROCK.
The songs are great & the direction flawless. The actual production itself sounds really muddy/ especially on “If Love Is The Law” & “TMWBTM”.
Are the rumors true that he and Damon Albarn are going to do an album together?
JBarber3d I hope so
@@crispwhite9068 me too
The amplifier was kind of like a rainbow to Holmes!
2:43 In this timelapse Noel was looks like ADHD lil' kid. ×DDD
I don't really care what he does, it's always good no mater what
madferit
Masterpiece album. Who built the Mom?
Good question, who did build the mom?
God, I guess if you believe in religion.
*NOM - it's translates on my fatherland language like: Novus Ordo Missae.
There above of them is Lefebvre goes hide in'? 😁
Just make a reunion already.. For gods sake
Have Liam sing some of Noel’s new stuff that his voice would suit well
Better on his own. Much, much better.
Gianluca Badejo He is not evolving. He has lost his way.
Plus Holmes has been on the cheese a bit too much.....album was drab in parts - even the interludes - not bad per se but he's done better b sides. He knows it's a bit shit. That nod of the head wasn't working. Plus it didn't land. Liam got in the way 😎🤔
We need to see Noel talking about pedals and doing a bit of a rig rundown.
I think it's a good album, but got hyped too much as "experimental" which it really isn't.
And it's hardly "Chasing Yesterday" which was his best work in ages and about everything went right there.
Few best tunes of "the Moon" would've fitted somewhere between the tracks.
Johnny Fuckin Marr! all hail Noel the whale
David Holmes wont be getting a Christmas card from Liam/Oasis fans
M. O.G. Who wants a Christmas card from whiny parka users
Gianluca Badejo lol
its the parka users that made him famous u get me fam?
well those guys are cunts anyway, so
It fucking pains me to listen to David Holmes speaking about great the studio sessions were. Great for him but look what the end product turned out like, some great sounds but ultimately Noel’s songwriting suffered from this process. It concerns me that Noel is planning to do another record with Holmes, please Noel go back to what you do best, for your sake as much as for the fans.
xyzxyz997 Who Built the Moon? Is the best Noel Gallagher album.
Ness N ya know full well it's not.
xyzxyz997 exactly!!! Another record with him may just end Noel's career.
Tommy conan Coates it’s in the top 3 tho
top 10 maybe
Radiohead did it
thank Christ he got Russell brand and Johnny depp out of his life, lol! Love ya Noel and Marrs bar.
I think Noel Gallagher is probably the best guitarist of all time. He’s much better then Jimi Hendrix, bonehead, and Eric Clapton
He’s sold more records then them three! And like them three he invented his own style
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't think this is Noel's best album IMHO. Producer David Holmes pushed him too far in a different direction. It doesn't work for me.
Album overall not as good as the first 2. The sounds and vibes were cool. But the overall writing was not as well to me. Be Careful What You Wish For, The Man Who Built the Moon, and Dead In The Water are amazing, the interludes too. But thats it.
Grant Inskeep agree, they are the only 3 songs I find myself listening too a couple of months later.
Better to have tried but it's no classic
Lol, that's how it's done. The only way to conduct the orchestra is to turn your back on the audience.
No fire, no skill
Who built thi$ garbage? I don't but as long as I get paid for it let's build more moons Noel.
did someone notice that most songs have a long stay in one chord to be honest I don't really like most of his new songs Liam did a better album
I know this comment is 3 years old but I don’t really get what you mean
I genuinely think that "who built the moon?" is one of the worst albums I've ever heard it's dogshit with one good song in dead in the water
ben roxy veryyyy negative opinion hahaha
@@anycolouryoulike1275 just my opinion
The chief has lost his way with this garbage
so everything that these greats said in this doc was lost on you then?
David McLaughlin Johhny Marr was just talking about you.
Maybe you don't like the whole album, but the song "The Man Who Built The Moon" is one of the best songs he's ever done. That song is incredible.
You don't deserve good music.
Craig Gibson It' not good. It's pretendious cosmic shit.
