    I was very happy and excited that because I was able to do this after watching your video I bought a V6 for Dyson Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converter Replacement for Dyson V6 SV03 SV04 SV09 DC62 DC59 Animal Absolute Motorhead Battery (V6 Adapter ONLY). Two of my Dyson V6s work very strongly. Thank you very much, I enjoyed it and subscribed.

    These power tool batteries are 5S, so 18 V nominal (no matter what the marketing says) while the original Dyson is a 6S at 21.6 V. Back-of-the-napkin math says the vacuum cleaner with the power tool battery will deliver over 100 W less...
    It would be interesting to see a comparison of a brand new Dyson battery vs a brand new power tool battery. Like on actual suction power, not math.

    I love the idea of the adapters for Power tool batteries, especially if you use OEM or premium batteries.
    I would like to add that most of the aftermarket Dyson replacement batteries out there use cheaper bulk Lithium cells, most notably the 18650 ones. Dyson from my knowledge use larger, higher capacity and more premium cells like the 20700 and 21700 (* 21mm diameter x 70mm tall).
    If you pull the18650 batteries and do the math, they will often fall well below the requirements of the Dyson vacuum power draw and thus, have a shorter run time than stated and also due to the higher stress and heat on the battery, shorter life before replacement than expected.

    I have a question what is the model number that I need for the actual Dyson battery itself I'm not looking to do the DeWalt battery I'm looking to actually replace the Dyson battery I'm just having a hard time finding the correct one because they're all showing me a bunch of different batteries and I'm just not sure which one is which

    • @JustaDude123
      @JustaDude123  Před 5 měsíci

      Great question. It depends on what model vacuum you have and if you want a replacement from Dyson or something else from Amazon.

    Is there a certain adapter for the walt that will keep Is that vacuum at a high level

    • @JustaDude123
      @JustaDude123  Před 2 měsíci

      Great question! I dont believe thats an adaptor problem. That would be a battery voltage too low or something electrical inside the vacuum. Sorry I couldnt help more. Thank you for watching.

      Absolutely it is. The Dewalt batteries definitely outlast the replacement battery I purchased on Amazon

    • @JustaDude123
      @JustaDude123  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Great question! From what I can tell, a DC59 is part of the V6 family and it should fit. Just make sure whatever you end up ordering has DC59 listed in the models it fits. Hope this helps. Thank you!

      @paulparkin3052 The link for the adapter I used is in the description. If you just click on it, it should take you to the Amazon page. I also have another video if you just want to replace the battery.

    Didn't give whether run time is better or worse.

    • @nils1953
      @nils1953 Před 6 měsíci +2

      That really depends on the battery you're clipping on. You can use a 12Ah and get 3 times the runtime. I think the original battery has about 4Ah of capacity, so you can figure out yourself what the increase/decrease in runtime is over the stock battery depending on which tool battery you use

      Thats becuse the vac is no longer checking the battery voltage and shutting down when its low. What you will have to do is look at the battery indicaters and when the last one is showing put it on charge.

    • @pablowvangreenlow7430
      @pablowvangreenlow7430 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @MyJessmatt did one better got a new vacuum cleaner that has a power cable and stopped using my Milwaukee battery's.
      It's actually wrecked my 8amp battery.
