ES reminds me of my aunt B Aka Myriam. She is from Ohio and married my uncle in 70s and stayed married until he passed away in mid 2000s.They moved to Africa, auntie enjoyed the village and became more Africans then all of us. She always wear African clothes to weddings,big events and churches. When we want authentic African food, we always stop by her house. We are blessed to have her as our aunt. I really appreciate you and your husband.

Nice to see how welcoming the family is. Air mattress with mannual air pump, helps a lot when travelling to the rural areas. They can help to get comfortable sleep, always have then in my baggage when travelling.
When we drive to villages, I take along my cot. They all are so amazed

She reminds me of my first visit to my hometown (yendi). Wasn't that good with the languag, too. It was soo funny. I remember I was taken to my grandpa place on a bicycle. I kept staring at the roofing made from the straws, and they started laughing at me. They ask why I'm staring at it like that? I said what we gone do if it rain tonight cos I was supposed to sleep there that night? My grandpa and uncle both said at the same time "GY3RGU GY3RGU". 🤣🤣🤣

Hilarious but so authentic the mat I’ve slept on it several times but mostly outdoors I need to bring one with to England for summer times at the park. There are 2 types one which is thicker and more comfortable and it’s all straw coloured. Bless your heart 😊you’re not used to it. I’m left with painful ribs watching this clip, beautiful

I know it was tough for ES. She should at least have a pillow. I grew up in the village and slept on this type of mat without a pillow for several years before I was taken to my father in the city when I was in Grade 8. I grew with my grandparents.
