"get on ya" ES that's amazing! In the 70s my family moved from country still recovering from WW2. We were well off compared to most neighbors. It all change when our family of seven children relocated with our American Military Veteran to California. My Father was alway working and Mother soon followed. Incredible hard working people. I was clueless about how the financial system worked. The new environment showed me that we were low income. I didn't understand but we were looked upon as bringing prosperity values down. I knew I wanted to fit in and have more money. Once I had some I did what everyone did spend it on looking well off - catch 22 ... it was a long time before I got a glimpse at the memo. I applauded you on your enlightened energy.. it's something I am working on shifting myself. Mindset- the internet really exposed so much I had no idea about More power to you - be patient is the message I keep getting - it's so American to have it all at our fingertips- our economy runs on credit Money is created out of thin air - banks create money nine times our deposits and loan it back with interest- crazy! I am getting educated so I can do what the banks do and create money with money- that's the goal I need to adopt the more frugal life it's not easy when the programing of immediate gratification so ingrained... I too spend a lot more time in nature growing In the soil and sun ... much healthier 🔥 🔥 🔥 ❤ ❤ ❤ The idea going abroad is in the cards even if I stay where I am The idea of bringing heaven to Earth is where you are - everywhere

I don't see it as consumerism. I'm paying for experiences, not things. When i had my house I bought a lot of things. Now it's the stuff i need. I'm in Egypt discovering new things. Sight, sound, and tastes. I don't spend money every day either. If i was in Ghana, i would not be spending either. Not with what we are hearing. I would have an exit strategy, too. I wasn't planning on staying in Egypt this long, but the environment fits my lifestyle wants.

Do you! It's fun to watch you. We all want different experiences. I'm glad you found yours and are living it. I was blessed in the US with properties. So i was able to sell and cash out. I didn't eat out in America, but I bought stuff, creature comforts. Now I'm in Africa for 2 years, treating myself. It's total pampering. Work is over. I've been offered positions, and I get the creativity, i am an artist how i made my living. It's nice to own my own time. What captivates me is your fearlessness. It's some serious wildlife out there.

You nailed it. I've always been one of those that don't have any urge to just go shopping for the sake of it. Once you own your own house (I mean paid for), everything becomes easier and you don't even feel the stress of everyday life. It's others that come to me for financial help.
