Seriously, good work. Most of my willingness to root and rom is from you. The last one didn't work so well, the Marshmallow S6 on an S$ L720T, but I'd made a backup with TWRP and am recovering back to the custom rom from you site. Same symptoms as most, no bluetooth communication, no microphone and sms always said failure to send though it would send anyway. So thanks, you put a lot of effort into it. mod

Folder problem when you want to see or copy the backup TWRP folder to External SD or PC...and the solution.
After backup my phone, i wanted to copy the TWRP folder (with the backup) from internal memory to SD Card or PC, to save space and to be safe. The problem was that phone unrecognised the folder, it just show a file named TWRP with 0.00Kb in "My Files" inbuild app...neither to delete it. No results.Using USB cable, the PC wasn't even seen it near the other folders like Alarms, DCIM, Music, Movies ...
I know that Teamwin recovery have buildin file manager but i was unable to copy neither ....
I installed Root EXPLORER that saw correctly the folder and files, and i was able to copy on my SD Card and delete the folder from internal storage.

Don’t tick the Skip MD5 generation option, as this ensures the integrity of your backups and guards against errors when restoring them

when im trying to back up (i c the file name on back up but restore isnt working either) when i hit reboot system im getting a security error on my lg g2 and have to go back to stock again to fix it you have any idea on what is going wrong?

Why have you only backed up the main two options in twrp? I made a backup exactly as you did so I unclicked the option for efs. I'm just wondering what these other options are though and if I might need them later?

when you back up on to a usb, will it wipe all existing data on the usb?
please just backup all the checklists INCLUDING EFS. this protects you when you lose imei
before restoring do we need to format system data, cache etc?

Internal is not affected by what you do with system. If you have files stored like pictures, music, etc, those will still be there if you restore system. If it's factory restore then it's different. Almost like when you do a system restore on a computer to try and fix an issue to a date where everything had worked. You still keep your music etc on your hard drive.

if you restore the backup without Wipe options, your data and ROM should be just the same. If I ran wipe data and restored backup I just had a fresh Custom ROM that I had backed up even happened to me once I forgot to wipe before restoring my stick ROM backup over Superman ROM and all my apps off Superman ROM was also in my recovered Stock ROM backup after recovery

Hey, I have a question, maybe for you it's stupid one that any advanced android user should know but im not, so here's my question, This backups only the ROM? and if it does so, when i restore it, will i lose all the apps that i have installed since the backup? because, if it doesn't delete them what happens if my android bootlooped or bricked because of an app that with backup won't delete? how can i repair it?

Install for the first time? Unlocking bootloader will wipe everything. Restore a backup doesn't affect files stored on your phone, like pictures, videos, and etc..

my note 2 i317 is not rooted but I followed all your instructions but for some reason the reboot says OS is not installed and it does not reboot the phone. I am not very familiar with the technicalities with android but would appreciate if some help could be extended.
