- Hey Guys, today's video shows how to backup all your data before installing a custom rom. There are two methods you can use I will be showing both in the video. The first method is if you want to backup apps and their data before changing your rom, so that you can restore them once it's installed. The second method is if you want to backup your data so that if something goes wrong during the process, or after installing, you can go back to your original setup. In the video I show you guys how to do it with the Nexus 5, but the process is basically the same for all phones. Please make sure you are rooted because you will need to be rooted to use the app.
Thanks for watching.

my phone is rooted but when I open titanium backup it says failed root access help
hey one doubt can i got photos, video, images?
hi a bit confused... save everything? will it save my contacts? and do I need phone or sd card memory as mine is very low? and also can I backup his to pc and rest or from there all files? thank you
nice guide for beginners .. :-)
Hi there, so I'm a bit confused with this... I backed up using titanium, and I also created a custom recovery (backed to internal sd) .... I don't understand the point of titanium... Why would you need both? And if you factory restore your phone, what happens to the titanium app along with its backup? Last thing... I rooted my phone using kingroot apk... If I uninstall the kingroot app, will my root still remain?
it says dont have enough memory to make a backup i got a clean 32 gb note 3 with 3 tiny aps installed and its basic blowwhere im 100% positive is not full
so its probertly looking for my sd ? and not putting it on my phones hard drive why ?
does this backup the whatsup data also??
You are showing a full rom backup and app backups. What I'm missing is what you need for a rom install. How do you restore your photos etc after wiping and installing the rom? Restoring from clockwork would undo the new rom wouldn't it?
i wont to unroot my phone i if i unroot how will titanium backed up my aps?
hey where is ur show how to root my LG
Whats the difference in backing up data with titanium and Custom Recovery?
+Bobby8451 titanium app is backup your system or non-system apps+data... and Custom Recovery backup your current Rom and its system apps only... :-)
can we back up to sd card
yes
im confused. if i install a new rom i have to delete the system data, cache, etc. which deletes everything on the phone. so if i install just titanium backup again from the playstore the user apps can be restored?
doesn't delete SD card where everything is saved to if my understanding is correct. If not it can save to the cloud I'm also fairly sure. What I'm not sure is if you can partition your internal SD and use that for the backup
i not undrestand something...nexsus device doesnt have external memory options..so where u backup ??in internal memory?wait wait before falshing we clear every thing it means we clear that backup app also yes??or no??
its not going to clear your photos media and other stuff
wiping just festroys your apps and your widget s and settings
that's why you are backing up them
and they will be stored in internal memory which won't get affected at time of wiping
I'm confused, and probably being thick, but what if you want to completely wipe your phone and put it back to factory settings, or install Cyanogen Mod (or any other ROM) for example? This just backs-up everything to your phone, but that gets wiped when doing a full system restore/new ROM, doesn't it, so how is this any use?
Surely you need an app to backup everything to your PC first? I'm trying to use Kies, but it's sh*t and won't connect, so how do I backup everything on my phone to PC before doing full system restore? Maybe this has that option? Any ideas, folks?
I Racer Hi, I'm probably a little late, but what I do use is "Android File Transfer", you plug in your device with the USB charger cable, go to the Titanium Backup folder where data is stored, and copy all the backups in that folder to your PC. Then wipe your data, and before you restore the app data, you need to install the apps on your phone again.
how about bluetooth and wifi settings, bootkmarks, call logs, etc?
kies will do it if u have samsung mobile
eslam nada thx figured it out, using the tb pro, everything went smooth. I have a nandroid copy and doing regular backups to the cloud.
The check mark at top of your app is missing in mine
The check mark comes automatically once you select an app to backup.
To make a titanium backup i have to use the app Titanium Backup. To use the App i have to be rooted. To root my phone i have to flash a custom recovery which will wipe all my user data before i can make a backup of it. This is getting me nowhere.
you don't need to use a custom recovery to get root. use both variants of king root and kingO root on pc and android or otherwise search around for a tutorial on how to root your phone using Odin
if it helps, i used odin to root my s4-i9505
Lukas B eventually i went with a a google backup to backup all my contacts, whatsapp backed up automatically, my download folder copied to my computer (wasn't necessary btw. wasn't even deleted at unlocking.) Also i used super backup to backup all call logs. The only thing that i really lost after unlocking was my list of active torrents in ttorrent, i didn't have any other apps i want to backup.. btw i am using a oneplus two. Luckily i had kept my all apk files of pro apks in my download folder.
what i usually do, is i do a batch process on titanium backup, see it flop, then flash a new rom lmfao
i used google backup, however it wasn't really useful as it didn't save any of my apps' data and just installed them for me. i can simply go to the app store and install them as it's no use (i don't need to save call logs/contacts that much)
twrp don't wipe data unless u do it manually.... you can flash twrp with adb & boodloader unlocked
so if i back up using titanium and wipe my data before flashing, i will still have my titanium restroes ?
+Comedy Technology No, I'm probably a bit late but if it helps👍🏼
You'd have to back up using titanium and then transfer that data to a PC or Mac using AFT (Android File Transfer)...📲
Hope it Helps....Go Check Out Mah Channel BTW
+Random StuffHappens actually when I did this I left the files on my device. as long as you don't wipe internal storage the files stay on there. tested and confirmed with opo :p
+Comedy Technology ok thanks 👏. You have saved me a lot of hassle 😊..... By the way watched your vids they are great would be cool if you did some more android gameplay 😎.
+Random StuffHappens thanks !
+Comedy Technology ohh and also instead of recording your screen💻 with a second cam just use a screen recorder and toggle on show touches.....the best recorder u could use is rec. Go check my channel for a free link to the pro version
Dude Just Be Confident Seems Ur Nervous
