Whether we call it stress, worry, or just planning - nearly all of us struggle with some form of anxiety, but not Sadhguru.
So in this video, we’re going to break down how you can overcome anxiety (and the fear of being judged) in the instant you feel them. We’ll also cover how you can shift your mindset so that they don’t bother you in the first place.
    ⏰TIMESTAMPS⏰
    0:28 - #1: Reveal your palms.
1:40 - #2: Replace filler words with pure silence.
    3:10 - #3: Use re-framed phrases.
    5:02 - #4: First accept, then change.
7:18 - #5: Stop depending on the external world to make you happy.

As a teacher I have had to work hard to stop saying "um" and "ah" as filler words when speaking. At first, the silence felt awkward - but some of my students told me that when I pause, it gives them time to process what I am saying, and it shows that I am taking the time to think instead of just spewing out information at a rapid-fire pace.

When speaking to someone or others, put 100 percent of your focus on them, look into their eyes and engage them, wait patiently in silence for their response and do not speak again until they stop. This solid engagement helps to forget about yourself and your anxieties.

I had to speak in front of an audience (~300 people) 2 years ago in a contest of my region. I have it in video somewhere. My script wasn't long, but it was (and still is) hard for me to learn word by word, my lack of memory is a really big deal. I was super nervous because I'm insecure and an introvert and I haven't been upstage for 20 years (I'm a retired violinist) plus the memory issue. I was the kind of guy who barely makes eye contact and feels late to the conversation. All I could think about was "don't forget the lines" "be at this spot when you say that line" etcetera. I spent 5 hours prior to the act saying out loud the lines.
So... I walked up the stage... and my voice began cracking, I was shaking and invaded by anxiety. I totally forgot the script. At that moment I said to myself: "F*ck it, the script won't work, improvise". I took a deep breath, I knew what my exposition was about as I wrote most of the script around simple ideas, so I switched off the "script in a stage" mindset and moved to "tell this people about the ideas". I (we, really) did it well enough to win a second prize.
That teached me a lot. You can't pretend to be or do something you aren't or can't do. Embrace what you are and what happens to you, step forward and take challenges. Flow with it, don't try to control everything. In my case I opened physically to the audience walking up to the front and I used my hands while speaking more than I usually do, I made clear pauses but sticked to the time I had left (

I started meditating and working on myself about 2-3 years ago. In my experience everything said in this video is true. Don't worry about being a failure to the society if you adopt that way of thinking. The real thing that happens is that you see life as a game, because nothing can make you more happier than the love you carry deep within yourself. Ironacally that makes you undefeatable and absolutely stress free even in the most stressing situations for most people. Because of that you'll naturally come out as a leader and you will be successfull in whatever you do, just because you have the ultimate pacience and can learn from failure withozt being emotional about it. It's the perfect cheat for life: stop depending on the outer world, start loving yourself unconditionally and you will be on top, if you want it or not. Best example: Sad Ghuru. He's a super star and he doesn't give a damn about the material thinks his siccess brings to him

Working in IT, when a client calls me, if I don't answer their question in 1 second flat, they say "Hello?"
They usually explain their problem in some way that makes zero sense, at all, not even to them, but they still want an answer immediately, even if my brain is trying to make sense of what they're saying.
In this case, saying "Um" is required.

Around my late high school and early college years, I fell into the unfortunate rut of negative thinking. It all got exacerbated after I graduated college and found myself at a dead-end job that I didn’t like because I “needed to pay rent” for an apartment I didn’t like either. I wound up with some pretty tough anxiety and almost no self confidence or esteem because of the almost constant negative thoughts. Then I literally had a hit the wall/bottoming-out moment (coworker disrespected me in front of clients), said enough’s enough, quit the dead-end job and moved back home for a while. That kinda bruised my pride a bit, but eventually I started to get the confidence/esteem back, wasn’t thinking as negative, and wound up getting a job offer that was a direct in-road to the career I ultimately wanted. I was making pretty decent strides both professionally and in thinking positive until the ‘Rona hit and paused my industry (the music/live music biz). It’s been a rough few months, but I’ve managed to keep the negative thoughts and anxiety at bay. It hasn’t been a walk in the park, some days it’s harder to get out of my head than others, but I know I’m the one that’s in control and that things will be fine/I’ll figure it out eventually. The fact that dealing with anxiety is an ongoing issue only means that I get the opportunity to get better at it every day. Love to all, we’ve got this, thanks for coming to my TED Talk

Something that helped me, might help one person that comes across it:
Everytime I started to think about something that made me anxious, I clicked my fingers as an INSTANT STOP! Then straight away thought about something else/ or distracted myself by watching CZcams or whatever. The clicking of the fingers was my TRIGGER to change my thinking.
At the beginning I sometimes had to keep clicking my fingers in order to get used to this and stop thinking about what was making me anxious... but dont let that put you off. Worked brilliant for me, keep at it.
And remember whatever it is, the thing your anxious about is MINUSCULE to the whole world's REAL problems, so try to keep it in perspective.
Long write, but maybe it'll help one person.

Wow this video just came to me as a revelation... Amazing stuff, I've been watching your videos for a few years now. I've always been a shy, anxious person... with really low self-esteem... I was conscious of this but I never had the "push" to actually try to change it, until I found this videos. Not only a great channel with quality content, but a person who understands exactly how many people struggle with stuff like this everyday.
Anyways, to wrap up... Congratulations on your channel and your videos, keep the good stuff coming!

Very good stuff here, you guys always do a good job, in youtube you usually have these "self help" videos where the video itself has barely any kind of helpful information, and then you need to buy the "extended course" to actually have any info, but all your public videos are actually very useful with applicable information for the day a day.
Btw, i would love to see an analysis about Neal Caffrey from White Collar, if you guys ever watched that show off course, but anyway, good job!

When I encounter an anxious situation, I always ask this set of questions:
    “What’s the worst case scenario?”
    “What’s the best case scenario?”
    “What’s likely going to happen?”
Of course it doesn’t apply to every situation, but it helps me think rationally and take things one step at a time. This video really helped, since the anxiety fairy sometimes gives me a good ole shin kicking
