- In some of our videos, we’ve briefly talked about the Taurus G3C and how it’s related to the G3X. In this video, I’ll talk about the Taurus G3X, its specs and features, why it is one of the most talked about sub compact pistols in its CCW weight class, and all the possible drawbacks associated with it. These are all to help you decide whether you SHOULD OR SHOULDN’T buy one.

#handgun #pistol #thepewpewzone Taurus G3X,
I have the G2C and The G3C and the GX4!!! Shot 1000 rounds thru each with ZERO ISSUES!!!! Gun Snobs be what they will!!!
Thanks for your post on the Taurus G3X. I've had mine for a couple of years and I'm very pleased with it. In addition to the 2, 15-round factory magazines, I've added a 17-round magazine.
G3C was my EDC. Upgraded to GX4 Carry TORO as EDC. Both works great, but the GX4 has nicer recoil than the G3C, slimmer, feels better in the hand.
G3C model with 17 round mag and grip filler IS a G3X with 2 more rounds
I have 4 Taurus pistols. All have been reliable. I'm a happy customer.
I have had better luck with my Taurus pistols than my Smith and Wesson pistols. I love all six of my Taurus pistols as they have been accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them.
Even Hallows I Heard Hallows Not Good In Taurus
No issues with hollows that I've seen. Have had the whole Gc series great pistols.
@@GunshineStateofMind Thank you for your feed back . What are some hallow rounds you use?
@@GSpiffEnt honestly just grabbed whatever was affordable with confidence. They ate everything with zero issues.
@@GunshineStateofMind thanks ! Will do
Great vid. Very professional and fact filled.
I really like my G3TORO. I never had any problems with it. Shoots and feels great. Take down for cleaning is easy,it’s just a great weapon. And I won’t say great weapon for the price either. It’s a great weapon and priced right.
Being a CNC machine programmer. Since the 1970s Gun makers have been ripping you off. Machining a part in the 60s would take 10 man hours to complete a CNC with 5 axes machine can do it in one hour that's why Taurus sell you a good gun that is very economical and the others won't follow through they just want the profit
Why they used 416 Stainless steel it's the easiest to machine high strength and good wear ability
Great comment, good to know. I have a G3 TORO and a TX22 and both have been great.
Good video. I think I'm going to buy the full size G3 for home defense and carry. I can hide a gun pretty well and I'm a big old guy and people overlook us. 😛 Either the full size or the XL version with the full size slide.
Thanks so much. I really like pew pew stuff!
I would definitely buy this gun if I didn't already have a G3c for my edc
Same
I like Taurus granted I recently started buying so I never got to experience the lemons maybe l would have a different opinion but over all my experience has been good so far
In GOD we trust, then it’s our god giving American Taurus … love your Taurus like you love your self & trust me it won’t let you down… stay blessed, stay safe & stay dangerous… 2A practice forever
What I don't like about my G3x is the back slap caused by trigger overtravel. Not a problem for a carry gun, but it's nice to be able to hit a soda can. I carried a holstered Glock 17 for years, and the G3x is equal in fit and finish and apparent quality as the Glock.
Had a PT111 G2. Sold it after 50 rounds at the range yielded 8 combined failures of FTF, FTE, JAM, STOVEPIPE. Replaced it with a Glock. Zero issues first 100 rounds.
I’m a subscriber & really appreciate your videos. What cab you tell me about Blue Alpha? I noticed one of the shooters (on the video) wearing a Blue Alpha t-shirt. I’ve visited their website, but thought that you might be able to offer an opinion on their quality.
Just got my G3X today. Have not taken to range but if it shoots as well as my other G series Taurus’s I will be happy.😊
Any feedback after shooting it? Considering one myself. Thanks
I got one 😂😂
At 8:30 the video says the short grip of the G3X undesirable-mind you it’s a full sized grip.
I have a PT-145. If you chamber a round, slightly depress the trigger, and at the same time activate the thumb safety, the trigger mechanism will be behind the safety block, so the pistol will look like it is on safe, when it can actually fire with a full stroke trigger pull. You wouldn't be pressing the trigger when activating the safety, so this is highly unlikely to happen, but the design was NOT fool-proof. Mine also needed radiusing of the lower front ejection port, as the nose of FMJ 45 rounds would not clear the ejection port every time. It also needed a little extractor tension adjustment. After that it has been reliable, accurate, controllable, and the perfect size/capacity if you like a carry 45. A G3 45ACP would be awesome. I didn't hear about the recall replacement offer until after it was over (my fault for not sending in the product registration card to Taurus when I bought the gun). So I am kinda stuck with it, but it has always been a fun range gun and since I carry empty chamber and ignore the safety, it wouldn't be a bad carry piece either, but I use a S&W Shield Plus, or SA Hellcat Pro, or Mossberg MC2c for that now. The G2C has a good top-of-slide tactile loaded chamber indicator which was deleted in the G3 series.
My daily driver is now a G3c, factory no-safety variant in 9mm. Damn good gun. Needs cleaning before you fire it at all because there's a spray-on layer of protectant gunk in there so it can't rust in a dealer's inventory. But 10 minutes with an old rag and Hoppe's 9 fixed that (plus basic oil) and it was Glock reliable from shot one.
If you want a longer grip, get mags for the G3 and get plastic spacers to fill the gap with the 15 or 17rd mags.
No need for longer grip frame variants, in my opinion.
I got a G2C cero problems to this day.
Ive been carrying a G2c since it came out and i have had no issues
my pt-111 g2 has been dropped several times. over 400 rounds through it. and i just got the g3 and out 200 rounds through it no malfunctions yet. taurus fanboy here !
A newbie here..seems like a perfect gun for the night stand or CC.
Simple self protection?
Not looking to compare DK sizes.
Just back off message.
Simple
Reliable
Affordable.
I put Lakeline firing pin springs in all my G series. The restrike works best for dry firing.
Love this gun.Im on my second one.
Tx22 is the best 22 semi pistol
I think you'd have to try pretty hard to get slide bite from this pistol. like just be ridiculous kinda grip. I ran all the Gc series and PT111. No slide bite issues and reliable.
Exactly! I have never experienced slide bite.
I have several taurus semi autos the pt140 and millenium pro are in 40 and really are nice but accuracy for thst riund needs at least 4 inch barrel. The 45 metal fractured several times. Taurus has excellent features but they do not harden their steel as well
Taurus is now legit, never had a stove pipe or jam I fired some bad steel cased ammo "tula" and had a bad primer, also my friends CZ P10!!!! So reliable in my book!!!!
Got a g3c a few weeks ago. Was having problems with it feeding. Figured out that it won't feed properly with a full mag
Nice 👍🏽
First time gun buyer. I just bought the G3C. My one complaint is loading the Magazine. It took me almost 2 hours to load 2 and I started cutting my fingers up on the magazine. I put some gloves on. That made it easier, I am told it will get easier with practice and when they get broke in,??? I am also looking for a speed loader. Do they help???
I prefer my G3x than my Glock even with my XL size hands just fits like a glove.
What is the name of that movie at the end I’ve been trying to think of the name for years thanks it’s would be very helpful
The g3x is perfect for my small hands no slid bite
I have a G3C with a 15 rd. Magazine and a magazine sleeve. Essentially the same thing as a G3X.
Hahahahahaha👏👏👏.."not taurius hater huh"😂😂😂
I have owned, 51 taurus handguns, 40 years of purchase, Taurus is temperamental, they are getting better, never will BE a glock, sig,or Smith.
Looks like you also own way too many commas. Give most of them bad boys away; you don’t need them.

So when is the T.O.R.O. version of the G3X going to get here? And is there any material difference (other than no slide safety) between the G3C with an extended 15 round mag, and the G3X with its standard 15 round mag?
You can go through Taurus and get the TORO slide for the G3x. I put a ported barrel kit on mine from Lakeline
Sig has a safety lawsuit now.
Sure does! You never hear about it though. SIG being a sacred brand.
I have 3 GX4s. They shoot better than my Glocks. Way better.
Love my G3c.
I LOVE my pt111 millenium pro... so pt111 V2, the pre G2 post pt111 lawsuit and fixed.
4 years, 6000+ rounds a good portion of which were various range's reloads. Out of 6k rounds I've had less than 20 jams/failure to eject, some were due to limpwristing from a wrist injury and some with reloads.
Out of 6k rds I had 1 failure ,my fault as I had pored dry slide in the frame and action and forgot to clean it,my bad.
@@dianaalfieri18 yea I'll be honest I messed up my elbow and wrist and for a while was probably limp wristing a bit.
Got my g3x the same month they were released, and it's still my edc.
Get civil defense 357,,for your weapon 💪 😉
I got a TORUS G3x.. which has a trigger safety.. it’s like a slim Glock.. and might b better using 124 gr versus the standard 115 gr
Why is the trigger, 124 grain better.
Your better off getting a P226 18 rd magazine an getting a spacer. Its the same thing. Plus you get 3 extra rounds
Dang Sig Sauer is going through the same thing right now tisk tisk
People really keep saying some ammo is not good I #heard# I heard no you didn't you saw comments CZcams
If anybody’s got any pointers, I could use them I have a G3 X having a hard time finding hollow points that run through it if anybody has any ideas
Taurus now recommends people don't carry a round in the chamber for G2-GX4 pistols. Yes Taurus been having recall issues dating back to 1997 and still happening in 2024! Rather spend extra money in a firearm been tested. This is a continuous issue with Taurus not a one time incident. Taurus needs to address this!
Your title DOES NOT need a (?).
No.. it does need it
Going to bleed from slide bite? Get real…
Someone else told me that
Slide bite???? Maybe you need to learn how a hold handgun properly. Are you one of those idiots that crosses your thumb a cross the back with your second hand, instead of next to the other one? Seriously, I’m a woman and and I know exactly how to hold a handgun. Been doing it the right way 35 years. I have the G3X in my center consul. I carry a Kimber R7 Mako in my purse. Everything else I own is HK, including my MR762A1 Rifle.
Some of my friends were surprised that I bought such an inexpensive gun, I was very impressed with the G3X. Perfect inexpensive gun for the car. I’m not worried about it getting stolen. Although my car is in the garage almost all the time. it’s good if I run out to the store for whatever reason, and I don’t need my purse just in case idiot decides make a mistake. Always be ready!
Other guns brands have some issues and problems with some guns and because they have a bir name is not in your video.
Why must we compare other brands with Glock nothing special with Glock
My thoughts as well, Glock in my opinion is highly overrated and over priced.
Glock is a good pistol. They just refuse to evolve or bring anything new to the table. High price but nothing new. Overpriced!
Glock has been tested over years and is a reliable gun, also eventhough it was not the first polymer frame gun, it led the market and contribute to widely used polymer frames today. I think this is why some consider it the standard for polymer frame pistols and compare other guns with it.
Glock are king
Didn’t finish playing this video despite my interest in Taurus and its G3x model. Narration seems a bit smug and grew tiresome. I’ll try the channel again. Thanks.
Over 4K rounds and my G2c only one fte, bad case crimp…not the pistols fault…crappy trigger…but easily modified. Buying another…G3xl…,and a tx…
Hahahhaha...utube paid
A glock executive speaking...
GARBAGE! I purchased a G2C, cleaned it and loaded it with defense rounds pending range visit. Yesterday I had a big cottonmouth in my backyard, so I decided to load some FMJ to save the hard-to-find defense rounds. Big surprise when I dropped the magazine and tried to eject the round the the chamber...the slide moves 1/4" and otherwise is locked tight. Watching CZcams videos I had come to the conclusion that the G2C was a reasonable purchase but now I know different...looking at the Taurus Forum and the HUGE number of reports of jammed slides I ave to conclude that all of the glowing reviews on CZcams are "sponsored" by Taurus. Should have learned my lesson about 10 years ago when a defective design (hammer block failure) on a PT145 Taurus compact .45 ACP resulted in my younger son taking a Ranger Talon round to the left thigh when he was trying to eject a live round in the chamber. Didn't sue Taurus, but I should have because they refunded the purchase price, which was an admission of culpability. Never heard a word about the Class Action lawsuit.
At least a couple thousand rounds through my g2c with all kinds of fmj and hollow points. Not a single ftf or fte. Sounds like you must have come across the exception to the others. I will trust my life to this pistol until it fails me. Same as any other brand.
Taurus probably refunded you just to get you off their back. Not because of admission of culpability.
Sounds like user error
@@pedrocortez18 - Nope...second repair attempt by Taurus was successful.
It was user error...how in the F do you shoot yourself in the thigh if you don't have the gun pointed at you in some form or fashion😂@@pedrocortez18
Clickbait BS.
The other companies are get Mad, because their guns HAVE gotten better than the one's that everyone have, NOW people are going for them, because Glock and the high cost other gun's, are being REPLACED by a cheaper and BETTER GUNS there making NOW. I have the GX4LX n it's better than the glocks i HAD.
Old news get over it
This dude has some serious ADD, 9-minute video and can't get around to talking about the gun until 3 minutes in.
