It's expensive, but you also get what you paid for. I've seen quality launchers anywhere from $500 to $2000 depending on what you're looking for. It's funny that you should mention that we should go out and practice with them as the company I bought my HDX from told me that "The launcher is not a toy to be played with. It is a self defense weapon that you should only be using when need to defend yourself, your family, or your home". I responded to them that if you don't go out and practice with it, your not going to be ready to use it properly when the time comes because your not going to be use to the weight or how it fires. Hopefully it'll last you for many many years to come and I cant wait to see how you mofify it for your purposes.
Get what you pay for is right. People work hard for their money so i can understand the hesitancy. There is a lot of cookie cutter stuff out there in the industry. This is not one of them.

Pricey but not overly so. Modding a marker to over 60J is likely to end up getting you into seriously deep shit should you end up in court. I agree 100% that buying a purpose made LL product is likely to buy you some leniency.
What an awesome piece of development. Too sad i will never get my hands on one of these as long as i live in anti gunland. I got in touch with Paul Eitel and asked what i have to change inside to make a carmatech sarx to a Paradigm ptx and he said this would be a very expensive ride and made clear that this is no paintball use, so he wanted to look what he can do to get a ptx to my location, haven´t heard from him over a month, so i guess this won´t happen anyways. Very informative video as always. Have fun with this and happy shooting

@@lesslethalfordummies i live in germany, the problem is that this sarx has a F sign and the PTX won´t, because it would be necessary to sell them at 7.5 joules.

@@lesslethalfordummies I think law makers are more comfortable when i purchase an 7.5j AEA Megalodon that can get to 300 and 600 joules in under a minute, so i maybe do them the favor :)

Hello... I didn't notice any type of "sights" out of the box??? I noticed on their website that they "sell" additional sights. How do you aim it at the bad guy? Is there something with the "stripped down version" you have that allows you to "aim"? Other than having to buy more scopes, lasers, etc? Thank you...
Yes they do have accessories that you can add to the purchase, but in my case i have lots of different optics lying around that i can use.

All I can find are the Pepperball "powder filled" practice rounds. I want to shoot indoors like you, but I don't want powder all over my basement. Thank you...
Glad i could be of some help. I refer to the red shaped rounds as MCS kinetics.

How much Different is this from the Original SARX , you bought and exchanged?
What made that a paintball marker, vs this one ?
Was it just the fact that you can purchase the upgrade kit to get near 60j. ?
There are some particular manufacturing details in the body that cater to shooting larger, heavier, solid shaped projectiles. The paintball version also operates at an even lower pressure with safeties to prevent running more. Mine was neutered with a valve spring that will be corrected soon so can have some real fun.
I couldn’t say if the expansion chamber fits the other version.

Were still trying to get mne one in canada, David is gonna fix the site so i can order but its been 3 days and still not working. you say it has paintball springs and stuff so we still have to modify it to reach 20 joules?
The “other” springs were supposed to be in the box but didnt make it so i just have to wait a little longer.
That's a Carmatech Muzzle Break, that I keep seeing you try to unscrew, is it threadlocked or soldered? I have one, and it helps the best for its size.
It is the Carmatech ported tip. It does unscrew quite easily and is only friction locked in place with a small oring.
@@lesslethalfordummies It does reduce the loudness because of micro ports and in advertisements state a straighter shot. Compare it to the other one on your M17 blaster. Please tell me results.
I will compare it against my other for sure. They would seem to perform very similarly with their sound suppression from what i can tell meow. Haven’t done any side by side comparisons yet.
@@lesslethalfordummies I found that this one performed better than most with the exception of Inception Stella tip and that’s just because of micro porting. So yep, similar designs have similar sound signatures. It’s getting to the point that it doesn’t scare your neighbors.

this is very cool but I like to see where all the money goes because so far its seems like there are more powerful markers out there for way less money.
When the spring comes in i will do an install and some more in depth testing.
What's "auto cocker" ? In my head, you can have a double action trigger that engages everything or blowback recoil to reset your hammer.. or is it just a brand name maybe?
Autococker was one of the original paintball markers that was widely adopted in the sport. Many of these barrels are threaded in one form or another and to this day Autococker type thread is a popular choice as it fit various different launchers. There are some other common choices like A5, 98, and twist lock.

Semi auto only but you can fire this thing fast. It’s not for everyone and thats ok, but it’s good to have choices.
That thing is amazing!! Killer score! Congrats! Keep it legal (&w/bear-spray). BK Kinetics and I think Riotballs have 11 or 12 gram balls to help keep the velocity down.

@Ajjakakkaka i will not comment on local laws. It can be damaging information to get wrong. Problem is if 10 people read the same law, 3 will see it another way.

The fact that it's less lethal would defeat the purpose of having to explain yourself if you used it in a self-defense situation anyway.
I don't buy the "it's hard to design" argument. It's easier to design than an air rifle and those are the same price.
I'd pay $600 tops.
You spent $1000 on your M17 because you were testing different things.

Choose wisely so they say. LL isnt for all situations.
Most crimes don't involve a gun according to the FBI, so these would be very effective to use as a deterrent.
