I want to show you everything you need to know about how to shift gears on a dirt bike without clutch! Learning how to shift without clutch on a dirt bike, is easier than it seems. How to shift gears without clutch only uses two different controls. How to shift gears without using the clutch, will use the throttle, and the gear shifter! This clutchless shifting technique is great for any rider on a dirt bike with no clutch. When you shift without clutch you will always want to let the throttle off! This goes for shifting without clutch motorcycle and dirt bike. When shifting without clutch dirt bike, you will go through all the proper steps every time you shift gears. Riding a no clutch dirt bike is a great beginner bike, and is perfect to learn on! This makes it easier with no clutch shifting. Any dirt bike without clutch will be better for a beginner dirt bike rider. Dirt bike shifting without clutch will still require you to use the gear shifter, and moving your feet on the pegs. When shifting dirt bike without clutch practice going through the gears to get more confident. A dirt bike with no clutch will normally only have three gears. So keep riding with no clutch until your ready to step up to a bigger bike, and master your riding by mastering the clutch!

@@RadAdventureDudeI have been riding for 2 months with the sx-f 250 and that's pretty much all my riding ever done in my life. I am also only 13 and 5 foot 3 but most of my height is in my legs so i can fit pretty good on the bike. Sorry if I have bad english.

What kind of dirt bike do you ride?
I had a hard time shifting and standing with a size 13 boot. I actually had to adjust my shift lever up a notch, and even then, my foot wants to get stuck there for a quick minute. When they make these dirt bikes, unfortunately I don't think they take big n tall guys into consideration much. 😅
Thats definitely a common problem for taller riders, i will put a video link below on proper foot position. Even with being bigger this should help eliminate some of your issues without further adjusting the gear shifter!

Can I double shift gear when riding like if I’m on 1st gear can I just shift to 3 gear or 4 to go faster sooner?
I would say go through each gear one at a time, and focus on the rpm’s of the dirt bike! If you shift up twice like that odds are your rpm’s will drop too low, and you will lose power and not gain speed from it!
Starting in second gear is a good way to get to the higher gears faster, and can help you achieve what you are looking for!
Once on highest gear do you have to still shift gears? Like let say your on a straight road n not going to stop. Can you leave it on 4 gear?
Once you get up to the higher gears you can stay in them! Letting off the throttle to coast will help the motor not over rev even in these higher gears! Just be careful when you start to shift back down, as it will apply a lot of engine brake and torque to the motor!

I didnt know this about trucks, but it's similar to dirt bikes.
I did this on my bike and when I try to put in gear it lurched forward and dies.
You will have to use the clutch when you first start rolling every time! Once the back wheel is spinning then you can start to shift without clutch if needed, however I always suggest using the clutch when possible!

Hey, I have a question, what do you mean by “let the throttle off” and what do you mean bye “once you shift up you can then put the throttle back on”
So you want to make sure to let the throttle off before you shift your gears. Then once you make your gearshift, you can get back on the throttle, or the brakes all I mean by this is that you don’t want to have your throttle on as you’re making your gear shift!
Does that make sense?
@@RadAdventureDude Yeah that kind of makes sense, but at the start of the video you said you need the throttle to shift your gears, and then now ur saying dont use the throttle when shifting your gears so im kind of confused, my question is, is that do u need to use your throttle to shift your gears? What im saying is can u shift ur gears without the throttle?
So that’s for when you first start rolling on your dirt bike, you must have your throttle on as you release the clutch. Once you are rolling then you won’t have to release the clutch with throttle. That’s where the confusion is coming from!

@@RadAdventureDude Yeah you do that when ur using a dirt bike with a clutch, but were talking about a dirt bike without a clutch, my question I wanna ask is that when ur riding a dirt bike without a clutch, and u wanna shift your gears, do u shift them without doing anything else, like when u wanna shift ur gears can u shift them by its self, like without holding a lever, using a throttle, braking and etc?
Okay sorry for the confusion, just letting the throttle off is the only thing you want to do before shifting gears!

My guess is they didnt grow up around engines. Most likely decided later in life to be a trucker and only know by the book.
